    I'm allergic to cumin....so I made it with chopped chives, parsley and basil, added a bit more cheese.... Delicious! A good breakfast for a diabetic if halved....also, the recipe itself is easy to half. Freezes well for a breakfast you can pop in the microwave at work or elsewhere for a quick, filling and nutritious meal.

    This is SO DELICIOUS!! I made it this morning and added a banana, Cinnamon and Cacao powder to the dough before I baked it. Did not use the cumin. We enjoyed it with peanut butter and honey. So easy to make.

      @@aussie6639 yes. I am also pre-diabetic. But I only eat 1/2 or 1/4 of it (portion control for diabetic) , I removed the shredded cheese. Before eating, I top it with crumbled feta cheese instead or any fresh cheese.

      Yessssss, that's what I always add to my oatmeal. Along with any dried fruit on hand. Raisins, 🍒cherries cranberries, blueberries, strawberries.. they all plump up again when you add them to oatmeal. I'll try this with maple syrup, ground ginger and cinnamon. Maybe bananas and walnuts.

    I love this idea, an oatmeal pancake! I have made it 3 times now, each time it turns out slightly differently each time still delicious! I have never achieved the "poof," which I attribute to user error in measuring ingredients, ... perhaps?..., but does not distract from the finished product. I add more cheese, no salt (as there is plenty of salt in the cheese), use medium heat setting, and it takes about 15-20 min. to cook on both sides. I started varying the ingredients, such as adding frozen veggies (thawed and drained). It's like pizza dough, you can make it hearty or sweet. It's delicious sweet with syrup!

      @@julieo6266 Regarding weight loss eating oatmeal, just my opinion: Eating oatmeal does not necessarily cause weight loss; it indirectly supports it. It supports weight loss because it's a nutrient dense food that makes you feel full for a long time after eating it. Therefore, it should help you eat less over the course of the day. And that then supports weight loss goals. I personally have lost weight primarily through fasting in combo with ketogenesis, and meals with oatmeal have been part of that.

    Tasty but the measurements needed adjustment. 85 grams = 2/3 cup. 200 ml = ~7 oz. I used a 12" = 305 mm pan which is too big as the mix barely covers the bottom and never really rose like in the video. I would use an 8 or 10 " pan next time. I used about 1/2 tsp = ~ 2.8gm of salt, pepper, and cumin. I ate mine as a porridge instead of a bread, I will try again. Maybe a little bit less salt should be good. I didn't add honey or sweetener maybe next ?? WORTH A TRY !!!

    This recipe is so versatile, anything can be added or omitted like meats,vegatables,different cheeses etc. The fruit and nut version sounds great too. Nice recipe!

      Basically an omlette with oats. Not complaining just showing how versatile it is. Maybe more versatile than an omlette. Because you can also do sweet like you pointed out with the fruit and nut version. Basically any omlette or oatmeal recipe will work.

    My friend made this for her children. Cooked it in a pot, left out the (painful amount of) salt, added a bit of sweetener (honey or brown sugar), cinnamon and raisins and called it porridge pudding. Her kids didn’t like oatmeal, but they loved porridge pudding!

    I fellowed the recipe and made it couple of times but I never get it to inflate or make the crust it always stays mushy for me. I tried different temperatures too. It just ends up like mush

    Hey if anyone is gonna try it, I did a little less oats and one egg, because I didn’t want too much. Skipped the salt, didn’t have any cheese so I used Parmesan. At the end I drizzled a little salt and ate it with some pita bread and some trader joe hash browns 🥰🥰🥰🥰 enjoy

      @@themoom22 hey omg I’m late, yes I did use the cumin, but I only like to sprinkle a little, maybe just a teaspoon. It’s a strong a musky flavor and a lot of people don’t like it (my SO included 😔😭loll)

      We’re being told not to add salt because we eat so much from preserved, processed food and junk/fast food already which has loads of salt in it already.
      If it comes in a packet, a tin or a jar it’s probably got lots of salt and other chemicals in it to make it taste better and keep longer.
      Don’t eat that stuff and eat fresh produce and unadulterated foodstuffs and add good salt for health and flavour.

    Love how it looks dont know how it would taste ,but for ldl cholesterol I would take out the yolk out the egg .I think I could use not sweeten soy or almond milk .Oats is good for ldl cholesterol.

      Надо разделить на два блина. И жарить более тонкими. Тогда пропечется и будет вкуснее. Можно и начинку сделать. У нас это называют овсяный блин. 🙂

    Came out very tasty for me despite some mistakes I made (like mixing the olive oil into the oats, adding a bit too much milk, etc). What surprised me even more was how it went so well with the Chinese chicken stir fry I had made yesterday! Awesome recipe for something you can churn out in 5 minutes!

    I had some instant oatmeal to make this. Maybe I need regular rolled oats. I could not get my mine to rise and be fluffy like in the video, but it did taste great as a pancake. . I'll try again

    Блюдо простое, интересное и вкусное. Но я решила больше положить сыра 🙂, а вот тмина положила 0,5 ч.л. (побоялась) и зря. Эта специя придает яркость вкуса этого блюда. В следующий раз пожарю маленькими...как фома оладушки. Рецепт супер 🙂👍
