- Another insight of The Lord Inquisitor project created and directed by Erasmus Brosdau. This teaser shows a glimpse of the space marines called "Grey Knights", which will have an important role in the full movie.
Also this teaser marks a new era for independant film making as the whole sequence was entirely rendered in realtime using the not yet released CryEngine Cinebox.
This teaser was rendered on one GTX 780 ti.

You may have been years ahead in release of this Erasmus, but your Grey Knights Teaser still has more views than the new CGI trailer for 40K from GW.
You may have stepped away from this but you still have left your mark and while I kinda grieve for the loss of a finished Lord Inquisitor I am still thankful you made this.
This and the prologue have become a staple for me to show to people new to 40K and the responses have been exclusively positive.

This video is what I show people when I get asked why I'm so in love with 40k. And then I hand them Eisenhorn.
Cant wait for this voice actor/character in the full film. This proves they can do really good voice acting, even though in the Prologue it was ... ehm ... noticeable its a fanmade film. This could make Warhammer 40k movies a thing, maybe. May the Emperor make this true.

Grey Knights arent inquisition tho.
They're a chapter of their own created alongside the Inquisition and falls under the rule of the Ordo Malleus

Hardly ruled. The inquisition gets to make decisions cause they let em.
Casper Christensen "Rule" in this context means they work under Ordo Malleus, if that wasn't clear enough.
Grey Knights are autonomous but they will never act on their own, entirely.
They, are deployed only when there is a great Daemon threat, often when the Ordo Malleus tells them to. If not? They remain on Titan in secret.
They're also involved with Extermimatus of daemons. I think the book "The Killing Ground" by Graham McNeill should explain enough how the Grey Knights operate btw.
I still rewatch this trailer a lot. Everything about it is just beyond amazing. Voice acting, design, animations, sound effects, just everything.
Same here, ever since it came out i´ve come back to it again, again and again. It´s so epic in the way i fantasize about 40k. And when i watch this i *always* end up watching the Exterminatus of Typhon Primaris speech (never forget Typhon!).

***** That is kinda the issue isn't it? Sure with those shoulders you have absolutely zero peripheral vision, however with those shoulders, your head is protected from shots coming from your sides anyway. So it kinda works.

Scanners, besides as far as my understanding of 40K lore goes this would be the equivalent of a tank going against infantry without any AT weapons, you terminators are so resistant to fire that eliminating larger groups of enemies is literally more effective than shooting them because you dont expand ammo.
He has auto-senses, bio-scanners, energy-scanners, targeters, an uplink module inside the helmet that gives him 90 degree vertical and 159 horizontal peripheral vision, and the Grey Knights are Psychers so they can use the power of their minds to reach out and see everything around them using their psychic might.
Trust me: The Grey Knights are more than capable of seeing everything, even in Tactical Dreadnought "Terminator" Amour.

No animator has so perfectly invisioned the sheer sense of size, strength and pure *power* of a marching Astartes.
You can imagine being utterly in awe as one marched passed, or frozen in terror if one were to come towards you to deliver the vengeance of the Emperor of Mankind.

This animation was actually what first introduced me into 40k. Before this, I had only heard about the Space Marines in passing. I knew nothing about Chaos or the Imperium, or even the Xenos races. This video once appeared in my recommended list, and after that, everything changed. I had to know more about this massive, bulky armored man and his strange zombie-cyborgs. Now I'm a lore nut with a small army of my own Astartes units. I don't think I would have fallen in love with the franchise as much as I did were it not for this simple teaser. Thank you Erasmus Brosdau. Thank you.
Wow. The way the animation conveys the weight of the armour is the best I've seen. And the look on the guys face as he looks up at his armour, is like, "Fark, again with this stuff?" Like it hurts to wear it, but he just cracks on and gets it done. Brilliant!

The animator is the first person I know of to really capture the weight of a fully armored space marine. You can tell the marine could move faster if he wanted to but you can feel his mass pounding down the hall. All the others don't have this, not this well done anyway.

Keep in mind an armoured Astartes is 3,000 pounds: about as heavy as the average car.
Small thing: A Grey Knight's body is fully tattooed with seals and benedictions that resist demonic influence and possession.
It's also occasionally bathed in blood (FOR THE BLOOD GOD!), courtesy of the nearest Sororitas, just for extra protection.

I felt they looked perfect for a Servitor. Why would anyone really care about making a tool made using the flesh of a criminal appealing? Strike as much fear into the populous as possible to keep them in line. This could be you, should you fall afoul of those enacting the Emperor's Will.

Terminator armor gives 360 degrees of vision to the user along with inferred, ultraviolet, and a whole bunch of other crap. Not to mention it links to other nearby suits giving the wearer their senses as well. From what I've read it's overwhelming almost.
Wolf King I'd like a source on the 360 degree FOV (field of view) thing.
SM armour doesn't have such a feature to my knowledge. Seems a bit too advanced for the Imperium :P
Standard Doesn't have it as far as I know, but Terminator Armor is something else as we all know. Read "Master of Sanctity" in the Legacy of Caliban series and they give you a pretty decent description of a new Deathwing Members first time in a suit and it's abilities.

Even though the Imperium is in the midst of a technical decline they still field some of the most advanced technology ever developed among the stars of the WH40k galaxy. The 360 degree FoV might be a bit wrong but in fact each suit of terminator Armor, at last the "modern" ones are equipped with an Auspex - think of this as some sort of super Radar that is capable to detect motion, gasses, energy emissions like heat or radiaton etc. together with helmet sensors that allow to view nearly any spectrum of light. With this in mind there is roughly nothing around a terminator in a radius of 50m he is not aware of unless some very specific situations occur. Also it is true that they can field a signum link, some sort of device, capable to take any information generated by the entire squad and create meta-data for each individual, acting as a force multiplier for the entire sensor arrays fielded by the squad. So "yes" the improved mind of an astarted together with the video feed of fellow marines can observe a huge field of view.
This is absolutely stunning, and I'm shocked that I'm only now discovering it.
This is every bit as good as the Prologue, and with better faces and voice acting to boot. Love it love it LOOOOOOVE IT.
Even the voice casting is awesome. This is not even a fan-made anymore, the creators of this could just literary throw down the completed package on Games Workshop's table and tell(not even ask) them to buy it, which they will. They will release worldwide through theaters and watch the money pour in.
I know this would do well in at least the UK, US and Russia. I would for sure pay to watch this over another super hero flick or some other form of entertainment, even if I had to pay more.
All participants gets their fair cut, everybody unexpectedly gets paid for stuff they did for free, fans gets to enjoy something amazing, everybody wins.
The team gets recognition and prestige>> "sequels">> more material for the fans to enjoy>> more money.
(It would truly be a waste to release it for free, I want you to have the resources for future material)
Exactly. But Games Workshop doesn't have common sense. If they had, we would already have Dawn of War 3, we would have a Game-of-thrones-style series of Warhammer 40,000, we would have movies and all that.
But pretty much every time GW hands out the license, it feels like your friends mother is buying birthday presents for you. So much trash, and don't even get me started on that Ultramarines movie. Why not make a proper movie??!

+LanskiGER Relic holds the License & yes they are under SEGA now...for fuck's sake SEGA has the rights to make both Warhammer Fantasy & 40K but we have only heard about Warhammer Total War & nothing about DoW3 or any of 40K game.
+Hellfire918 when I last played Space Marine (console game) and it said SEGA I almost choked on my own spit, I was freaking out that they might continue with DoW3 or another Space Marine.

+linkdude64 Yeah, was thinking the same thing months ago wen I started reading up on them, imagine a ARPG squad based action and missions set up as you answer calls of the inquisition to fight Chaos incursions. Then lets give you dialog options, as in you fought with guardsman that helped hold the line as you charged in to close a warp gate and then you have to decide on weather you'll have their memories wiped or executed. Cold gray choices.. yeah. I want a game like that and with these consequences following you through the game.
Its amazing that all the fan made stuff is sooo much better than anything done by a studio.
I want to say this in 2022. This is still the best suit up CGI vid, between Starcraft 2 (Tarkus), Raptor, and "The Armouring of a Space Marine" (GamesWorkshop TM). Respect.
I cannot wait for this glorious marvelous thing of beuty. But I must do so anyways. In the meanwhile I shall commence getting drunk and working on my own stupid shit.

Terry Hinch Not even Morgan Freeman, Terrance Stamp and Sean Connery combined could have made up for that movie.
They also had so many lore errors it was a pain to watch all the way through because I just kept going "THEY DON'T DO THAT IN THE LORE!" they don't send people on their first mission in power armor e,e they should have been scouts!

This fan made teaser is 10 times better than the ones gameswork did, they should be ashamed, with so many warhammer 40k video games they made, they didn't make a sing one that has satisfying graphic. Look at the ultramarine movie they made, the graphic and story is totally shit.
If gameworks gave these companies enough money those games and movies wouldn't be so shit, so they are still the one to blame.
No I only played the warhammer 40K video games on PC. But I do know a bit background about this game, such as horus heresy, spaced ,history about space marines and imperial guard.
