I've done that, joined a UA-camrs discord that I liked. It ended up being such a toxic environment that I couldn't even see the UA-camr the same and ended up unsubbing. Btw, Bloodborne needs to be on top of every PS4 list. Got me to pick up a Lovecraft collection book. His writing is wild so far and I haven't even got to the Call of Cthuluh, which Bloodborne is modeled after.

I love my Switch and every other Nintendo console, but I just picked up a PS4 from a friend who didn't want it anymore and I gotta say that I play my ps4 way more than my Switch now. I also picked up PSVR and that blew me away...I play that every day

I think it had to do with Japanese companies doing much better this gen than they did last gen. Also bought a switch because i couldnt miss mario and zelda, but i wish it had more ports like GTAV or Red Dead Redemption.
PS4 slim is amazing value for its price/performance and because it has great first party and third party support. It has all the games I want from blockbuster games like God of War i, Red Dead Redemption 2, AC Odyssey and Spiderman to niche ones like Detroit Become Human, Gravity Rush, The Last Guardian or Fist of the North Star.
I don't really get this opinion, what's better in Vice City than San Andreas? SA is so massive, revolutionary for the time, and still holds up amazing today. I mean VC is a very good game, but the only reason I could get liking it more than San Andreas is the 80's inspired/Miami atmosphere, but overall San Andreas is such a better game imo XD
@@Atari-Dude I'd say that 80s vibe was part of the charm. Also, I found the story more compelling and fun, with the cartoonier and less serious style. With San Andreas and after I feel they started to take the games and the story more seriously along with the characters and they've lost something there. And they started to have too much content in some ways. Like for example having to do all those minigames to improve your abilities is a bit annoying.
Could definitely see your wife taking over the console! Just got the Witcher 3 about 2 weeks ago...... Roughly 30 hours in already and I've barely touched the main quests. One of the most rich RPG experiences to date personally
Tomb raider is always my fave series. My favorite game on ps4 as a whole is horizon. Beautifully done and executed. The story the game art its truly a stunning world to look at.

Terribly underrated game. For the amount of content in the game, awesome graphics, story and the controls are tight the game should have gotten more of a push from SONY on the marketing side of it. I should have pre-ordered the game at launch to show my support for it but ended up picking it up at EB Games for $19.99 down from $79.99 3 weeks after launch. I've seen it as low as $2.97 at Best Buy's clearance section.

The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima, and Death Stranding look like they should all be pretty strong releases, not counting the multiplatform games.
I don't think the PS4 will catch the greatness of the PS2 and its game library, but it's up there with the Super Nintendo, NES, and PS1 for perhaps my second favorite console of all time.

Song of the Deep is actually a pretty fun and unique Metroid-Vania. It took a while for me to get into as well, but I definitely recommend finishing it!
Keep in mind that it was a low-budget made as a passion project by a handful of people on the side between other projects! It's got some issues of course, but I can't knock it too hard since Brian Hastings made it just for his daughter.
Horizon zero dawn, uncharted 4, spiderman, god of war, re 2, days gone, Detroit become human. Ps4 will definitely be known for having the best exclusives

A whole 5 seconds on Bloodborne. Oh boy you're in for a treat. I finished it 3 times to get 100%. One of the best gaming experiences since my teenage years of playing Doom, Duke 3d, Blood and Warcraft 2. Total addiction

Agreed, but not everybody feels inclined to buy a game at its’ original MSRP, hence the temptation of PSN flash sales when you see something only 6 months old for 75% off
I've managed to build up quite a decent collection for the previous generation (PS3) but if I look at the number of games that require large patches, or have free DLC that is actually significant to the game then it does make me wonder just how playable some of the games I own are going to be should the update servers go away, which we all know will happen eventually. From what I've seen the current generation is even worse for this. Obviously this doesn't apply to all games, and some of the ones from smaller studios where they wanted to get the game right first time to avoid patch release costs, or for games that were special releases in the first place that doesn't apply, but collecting for the previous generation and seeing the number of cases where this is true has put me off building a collection for this generation. I guess at least with this generation some of the more interesting titles are getting physical releases, which was a problem with the PS3 as I've ended up missing out on a lot of titles due to them being digital only, but I still find it something of a concern.
I too have a large ps3 collection and are concerned about updates and patches when servers go down. I think I will have to get a dedicated drive just for ps3 drive backup. Now that season passes and other dlc have become a regular thing. Part of the agreement of terms is that discontinuance is a reserved right of the provider. Especially concerning as publishers like ubisoft offer so much add on dlc for a price.
I do actually own the Rambo game, as well as both Heavy Fire Shattered Spear and Heavy Fire Afghanistan on disc which are both basically the same kind of thing (same developer) If you like on-rails shooters they're not as bad as people make out, especially with a few friends. They're basically just low-budget arcade games that didn't suit what the market wanted at the time of release. Compared to say Kick Ass 2, which IS as bad as every review says, they're perfectly playable games.
I absolutely LOVED 'Song of the Deep'. It was one of the first games I played for the current console generation, and it absolutely grabbed hold of me from the start. It's one of the best Metroidvania type games I've played. The gameplay and pacing are great, the story is very sweet and endearing, and the visuals and narration are really charming. It's just a very fun, whimsical, fantasy adventure. I even bought the FUNKO POP figure of Merryn in her Submarine, which was on clearence for $5 at GameStop.

I finished styx on Pc and styx 2 on ps4 this summer. Two masterpieces of stealth games. Easy to handle, cool mechanics of gameplay, not too hard to beat but challenging ! But you can save anytime and loadings are 4 seconds only! Yes 4! The character is very responsive, and only two possibilities are missing in the first one, not a big deal. They are both beautiful and the level design is pure genius! A must play/have/love!
Phantom Pain is a fantastic game, yet I too could not find it in me to finish it. I much preferred the linear nature of the older games. And the crazy things you have to do to get the real ending were also a deal breaker for me.
The same. I was just before the last couple of episodes, 200 hours in and then didn't finish it 😂 Just watched the ending scene on UA-cam. Which was a huge disappointment anyway....
The game play and stealth mechanics are great. Much better than MGS4. But there is no story, no comedy, no cool codec conversations. I'm playing the game now and i'm bored with it. With 1,2,and 3 I couldn't put the controller down.
Yeah best gameplay in the series but worst story. Once you have to rerun missions I stopped. Wouldn't mind finishing it up someday since I have beat all the others multiple times. Love the series.

its better than most because its handled by Ryu Ga Gotoku team, responsible for the amazing Yakuza series. it was made with respect to FOTNS while maintaining some of the addicting gameplay of Yakuza, rather than being Bandai Namco anime fodder
I loved The Order 1886. Beautiful interactive movie. That's how I look at it. More cutscenes than gameplay but still a great game. The Talos Principle is one of the best games I've played in years.

Shadow of Mordor is fantastic. I am currently playing the sequel Shadow of War and enjoying it as well (the negative reviews are due to the loot boxes but they have since been removed from the game). Your collection is much larger than mine but there are a few notable games you are missing such as: Persona 5, Yakuza 0, Injustice 2, Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice, and Assassins Creed Odyssey and Origins. I also have Infamous Second Son in my collection and while the gameplay is fun it gets too repetitive and the story is complete garbage.

i actually dont like his collection, many games i never seen before, just irrelevent games that no one is playing, he just pick it up because they are more uniqe,hes just showing of and posing as a collector. While missing out on alot of well known games like FFXV and Kindomhearts III, because no one would be surprised....
Everybody has their own tastes. To say one is better than the other is nonsense. Why not both? It's the games that matter, not the system. If only one is attainable than choose the platform that is better suited to what you like. Choose the console that will fit your interests and not what people's experiences say.
I really appreciate this video. You are someone that I consider to have a good taste in games as well as a good variety of what the best each console you own has to offer. This video in particular cements the fact that most of these games (while very good in their own right) do not push the hardware to the limit at all. With regards to the Nintendo Switch, most of these games are either on it, are coming to it or could run on it. I say this because most games these days are either ports or HD re-releases of previous gen games, retro inspired games, or retro compilations, as well as FPS and Racing games. None of these genres push the system to the limit. The only exceptions are Spiderman, God of War, Uncharted and s few other triple A titles. The ration of triple A games to the rest are about 3 to 1 (for triple A). All in all, it's a really exciting time to be a gamer and I can't wait to see what is next!
funny enough he didnt buy FFXV like most ps4 owners did, because everyone was waiting for that game like crazy D; or maybe he sold it or give it away when he was so dissapointed about that game :3 and hes definetely not going to talk about final fantasy VII remake xD OR Kingdom Hearts III also he is missing Ni no kuni II and Tales of Vesperia, Zesteria and Berseria.
Meh, it can be pretty misleading because it often means exclusivity in the console world, they're a lot of "Only on playstation" that are PC games too. Also timed exclusives

You asked so here it is; I had the same initial reaction with Kojima’s final chapter in The Snake Saga. MGS V: The Phantom Pain was a rough game to start. It’s a bit of a slog in the first 10 hours. That being said; once you get passed the initial beginning missions the game quite literally opens up to be the most open ended MGS to date letting you have the choice to attack every mission how you want to play them. Go loud, Go quite (pun intended) It’s worth your time but let me put an emphasis on TIME. The game has so many side missions, meta-games and systems working in conjunction with one another that it is easily 200 hours of pure Kojima action. That being said, don’t get too invested in the story because it might not fulfill but the gameplay is SO fulfilling on every level. It’s worth your second chance if you’re willing to put in the time.
grizzlywhisker nioh has amazing combat mechanics that blood borne and dark souls lack. I personally fell in love with nioh when I first played it, I like it just slightly more than bb and DS.
Dude i have hundreds of games for the playstation 4 system and besides the VR games i habe got almost none of these games besides the more well known titles I guess you could say GTA nier automata. When I see people with huge collections like this, I'm always curious to see their trophies and achievements. Do they just rush through the game to beat them since they have so many to play? Do they have a really high trophy level/gamerscore? Or are a lot of these games on their backlog (I mean, I don't have nearly as many games as this, and I have a ton on my backlog waiting to be played lol)
Just so many great games, not only for the PS4, but this generation in general. Sure, there is some issues with the industry, and the practices, but the games are out of this world. The story, graphics and gameplay are just insane. I would never have believed how far gaming would come when I first started playing in the late 70's. I am 47 going on 17 when I see a new game hit the shelves.

The most underrated game for this system is Stick It To The Man! It is one of the most humorous games I have ever played. You should definitely check it out.

Everything in that game was meh, the clunky combat, the running, the god awful melee combat, the driving was ok but it felt like a downgrade from 4 (except graphics of course)

Vice City is one of the very very few games I finished 3 times. It was very revolutionary and is still awesome.

Honestly Horizon is one the best games ever played.
While it isn't an exclusive anymore, Yakuza is still great to play on Playstation.
Uncharted 4, Spiderman, God of War, and Until Dawn were good . The rest are overrated

I've managed to build up quite a decent collection for the previous generation (PS3) but if I look at the number of games that require large patches, or have free DLC that is actually significant to the game then it does make me wonder just how playable some of the games I own are going to be should the update servers go away, which we all know will happen eventually. From what I've seen the current generation is even worse for this. Obviously this doesn't apply to all games, and some of the ones from smaller studios where they wanted to get the game right first time to avoid patch release costs, or for games that were special releases in the first place that doesn't apply, but collecting for the previous generation and seeing the number of cases where this is true has put me off building a collection for this generation. I guess at least with this generation some of the more interesting titles are getting physical releases, which was a problem with the PS3 as I've ended up missing out on a lot of titles due to them being digital only, but I still find it something of a concern.
I too have a large ps3 collection and are concerned about updates and patches when servers go down. I think I will have to get a dedicated drive just for ps3 drive backup. Now that season passes and other dlc have become a regular thing. Part of the agreement of terms is that discontinuance is a reserved right of the provider. Especially concerning as publishers like ubisoft offer so much add on dlc for a price.

I do actually own the Rambo game, as well as both Heavy Fire Shattered Spear and Heavy Fire Afghanistan on disc which are both basically the same kind of thing (same developer) If you like on-rails shooters they're not as bad as people make out, especially with a few friends. They're basically just low-budget arcade games that didn't suit what the market wanted at the time of release. Compared to say Kick Ass 2, which IS as bad as every review says, they're perfectly playable games.

I absolutely LOVED 'Song of the Deep'. It was one of the first games I played for the current console generation, and it absolutely grabbed hold of me from the start.
It's one of the best Metroidvania type games I've played. The gameplay and pacing are great, the story is very sweet and endearing, and the visuals and narration are really charming.
It's just a very fun, whimsical, fantasy adventure.
I even bought the FUNKO POP figure of Merryn in her Submarine, which was on clearence for $5 at GameStop.
Song of the Deep was GREAT and real easy to get into. I loved Solar Jetman on the NES and it gave me that same feel.

I finished styx on Pc and styx 2 on ps4 this summer. Two masterpieces of stealth games. Easy to handle, cool mechanics of gameplay, not too hard to beat but challenging ! But you can save anytime and loadings are 4 seconds only! Yes 4! The character is very responsive, and only two possibilities are missing in the first one, not a big deal. They are both beautiful and the level design is pure genius! A must play/have/love!

Phantom Pain is a fantastic game, yet I too could not find it in me to finish it. I much preferred the linear nature of the older games. And the crazy things you have to do to get the real ending were also a deal breaker for me.

Just watched the ending scene on UA-cam. Which was a huge disappointment anyway....
The game play and stealth mechanics are great. Much better than MGS4. But there is no story, no comedy, no cool codec conversations. I'm playing the game now and i'm bored with it. With 1,2,and 3 I couldn't put the controller down.
Yeah best gameplay in the series but worst story. Once you have to rerun missions I stopped. Wouldn't mind finishing it up someday since I have beat all the others multiple times. Love the series.

If you like yukuza then you'll like fist of the North star. But the main story was a little to short.

its better than most because its handled by Ryu Ga Gotoku team, responsible for the amazing Yakuza series. it was made with respect to FOTNS while maintaining some of the addicting gameplay of Yakuza, rather than being Bandai Namco anime fodder
I loved The Order 1886. Beautiful interactive movie. That's how I look at it. More cutscenes than gameplay but still a great game.
The Talos Principle is one of the best games I've played in years.

Shadow of Mordor is fantastic. I am currently playing the sequel Shadow of War and enjoying it as well (the negative reviews are due to the loot boxes but they have since been removed from the game). Your collection is much larger than mine but there are a few notable games you are missing such as: Persona 5, Yakuza 0, Injustice 2, Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice, and Assassins Creed Odyssey and Origins. I also have Infamous Second Son in my collection and while the gameplay is fun it gets too repetitive and the story is complete garbage.

I really appreciate this video. You are someone that I consider to have a good taste in games as well as a good variety of what the best each console you own has to offer. This video in particular cements the fact that most of these games (while very good in their own right) do not push the hardware to the limit at all. With regards to the Nintendo Switch, most of these games are either on it, are coming to it or could run on it. I say this because most games these days are either ports or HD re-releases of previous gen games, retro inspired games, or retro compilations, as well as FPS and Racing games. None of these genres push the system to the limit. The only exceptions are Spiderman, God of War, Uncharted and s few other triple A titles. The ration of triple A games to the rest are about 3 to 1 (for triple A). All in all, it's a really exciting time to be a gamer and I can't wait to see what is next!

You asked so here it is;
I had the same initial reaction with Kojima’s final chapter in The Snake Saga.
MGS V: The Phantom Pain was a rough game to start. It’s a bit of a slog in the first 10 hours. That being said; once you get passed the initial beginning missions the game quite literally opens up to be the most open ended MGS to date letting you have the choice to attack every mission how you want to play them. Go loud, Go quite (pun intended)
It’s worth your time but let me put an emphasis on TIME. The game has so many side missions, meta-games and systems working in conjunction with one another that it is easily 200 hours of pure Kojima action.
That being said, don’t get too invested in the story because it might not fulfill but the gameplay is SO fulfilling on every level. It’s worth your second chance if you’re willing to put in the time.

Darksouls/Bloodborne are amazing, I thought Nioh was kinda bad.
You have to try it, Nioh has been like a drug to me, I finished it twice (PS4 & PC)
grizzlywhisker nioh has amazing combat mechanics that blood borne and dark souls lack. I personally fell in love with nioh when I first played it, I like it just slightly more than bb and DS.

When I see people with huge collections like this, I'm always curious to see their trophies and achievements. Do they just rush through the game to beat them since they have so many to play? Do they have a really high trophy level/gamerscore? Or are a lot of these games on their backlog (I mean, I don't have nearly as many games as this, and I have a ton on my backlog waiting to be played lol)

Just so many great games, not only for the PS4, but this generation in general. Sure, there is some issues with the industry, and the practices, but the games are out of this world. The story, graphics and gameplay are just insane. I would never have believed how far gaming would come when I first started playing in the late 70's. I am 47 going on 17 when I see a new game hit the shelves.
