Be careful: MJR’s claim about “100% backwards compatibility” is false. There will be further releases but they’ll be selected ones, like they are currently. You won’t be able to pick up any 360 game and play it from your XSX.
@@TechWithSean I'm not terribly familiar with Steam and its sales (mostly game on consoles), how good are sales? The physical Xbox 360 games I'm finding these days are $1-$2 so extremely cheap to grab now
Every good game that came out in those days felt fresh and innovative. Nowadays pretty much all we get is battle Royale or FPS, and devs seem to only care about graphics. Nothing beats the 360 classics such as Red dead redemption, Medal of Honor, far cry 3, gears original trilogy, etc.

Yeah Ive been working on it for a few years ive never paid over $10 for a 360 or og xbox game no matter how rare it is. Basically i got like 95% of the exclusive titles.
@@relate97 I think the only time I ever considered paying more was back when Metal Wolf Chaos was still Exclusive to Japan and asking prices of like $100 (not to mention the Japanese Xbox to play it...).
Xbox 360 are particularly easy and cheap to get.
I didn't buy a Xbox 360 until 2 years ago have about 150 games, and 90% of the them were $2 or under and most of the rest were under $6.
i can't wait to play the Xbox Series X with more backwards compatible games soon
Instead of going to church on Sundays, I just tune in on Friday mornings and listen to Metal Jesus preach on UA-cam. Thank you and preach on!
🤢
Arab Drifter Hungover from partying with Metal Jesus at church?!
I got a Xbox 360 a few years ago from a Goodwill, And ever since I have been addicted to it. Love these videos to help add to my collection, right now I have around 60 games!
It will not have nearly 100% B/C with "all" gens! It will with Xbox one games but the original Xbox and Xbox 360 games will be the same compatibility that they have with the Xbox one!
Exactly
Yes a quick google search would have stated this information *cough* before uploading a video *cough*
Came to say the same saves me a job I will say though I do hope they pick up where they left it for BC and start adding more but it won't be in the first few years I suspect cause they need you to buy the new stuff initially
They stated they are still listening to fan requests. So probably the BC program may come back in the future.
@@baroquechevalier8516 I really hope so. There are still may awesome 360 titles that would be awesome to play on Xbox One / Series X, not to mention that the small handful of original xbox titles isnt nearly enough. If The series X had full backwards compatibility for 360 and original xbox games with 4K support regardless if a game is licensed to sell, that would be enough for me to get an Xbox, even though i can play the exclusive new Xbox titles like Halo Infinite on pc. I would love to play my entire Xbox collection in 4K, even the really bad games like Robocop and Driver 3.
The fact Singularity isn’t backwards compatible is a crime!!!
I also owned Syndicate too
Both of those games are total Hidden Gems!
Shadows of the Damned and Killer Is Dead are both unreal. Play both.
I played Shadows of the Damned in a few years ago on stream. So much fun to go back to it! It's my first 1000 GS achievement
Suda 51 is very much the quentin taruntino of game developers.
@@steammachine3061 with added dick jokes for good measure. I'm only half kidding. The guy's got something about phallic humor
Shadows is impossible to find on Xbox 360 and ps3 it took me a while for both copies
11:25 my first hitman game was Absolution and it's honestly such a fun game to play even if it steers off from the usual hitman gameplay
The 7th generation was easily my favorite so the Xbox 360 was one of my favorite consoles of all time
Mine too.
Absolutely agree with you
Same
I agree completely. So many great games and Microsoft perfected Xbox Live. That generation was a great time all around.
Xbox 360 was better than Ps3
Enslaved is absolutely a hidden gem. That game is fantastic. It's a shame it didn't get the love it deserved.
Yeah it was a middle shelf game so they didn't have a big budget and games like that aren't made anymore. Games like Alpha Protocol, Chromehounds, Bullet Witch, Velvet Assassin and Saboteur.
Argentine collector watches MJR video about "cheap" console games.
*cries in argentine*
Same in Brazil
Same in Guatemala, every latin american country basically 😥
don't you guys have a used market/store? OR maybe you mean the economy is tanking in Argentina? Well it sucks if you cant find any cheap games i mean
@@SimonBannow Yeah, we have, but here we have a small selection of games in the market and the dollar price is rocketing, so any garbage can cost a lot.
@@losalfajoresok ah i see ok, damn!
“You play as John Woo, who is a total badass!”
Kingdoms of Amalur was one of favorite games on the 360 until I reached the bug that stopped fast travel which made the game very tedious. Never played it since. Hope they fixed all the glitches when it gets rereleased this year because it’s a day one pick up for me. Lollipop Chainsaw was a great game also.
That one John Woo game reminds me of a 360 game that I have called "WET" which is a hidden gem in it's own right.
I consider myself “console neutral” but the 360 is my favorite gaming box and made me the gamer I am today (and I did grab Singularity off eBay for $7.11 shipped before I finished the video).
I'm brazilian and love this channel because of the diction of Metal Jesus... i can understand 100% what he says without subtitles.
“Onechanbara: Bikini Squad... um... Paul bought this for me.”
We won’t judge you, Jason. This is a safe place.
These games a real trash...at first it was fun and unique, but after 10 games in a row with no improvement whatsoever...well, it's same as fifa and nba trash.
@@Deep_wolf They have 2 games in North America... that's it.
It's actually quite annoying that anytime he brings up Onechanbara, he shy's away from it, like his wife is gonna get mad or something. But he needs to start calling a spade a spade. You have this in your collection for the same reason you have Dead or Alive 4 and 5 and a slew of those Japanese Shmups, because of the big tit anime girls. The same reason I and any other red blooded american Male has them in their collection.
YES! Lost Odyssey is still my favorite game to this day! I think I've played it 5 or 6 times by now.
One JRPG you did forget though is Eternal Sonata. It did really well all things considered.
My girlfriend is building up her xbox 360 set at the minute, so this is a very welcome video. Thanks dude awesome as always!
Have fun!
@@MetalJesusRocks will do dude :)
Killer Is Dead has tobe in my top 10 games for the 360 and yet I don't hear anybody talking about it. Amazing artstyle and gameplay
Alan Wake is one of my absolute favourite games of all time. I'd say it's more David Lynch than Stephen King.
I would agree. It is like Lynch directing a movie based on a King story maybe.
@@vivisect53 For sure. There's King influences, particularly in the characters.
Yea..the characters and basic premise of the story has a King feel is how I felt about it.
Ian Sear I want to play this game so bad
My innerchild is screaming, I've been going back playing the classics, they can never be beat, they'll always have a special place in my heart. I've been playing the outfit, bladestorm, and crackdown 2 alot
I could never finish Perfect Dark Zero. I remember being disappointed and wondering why all that stuff keeps flying off the enemies when I shot them. Maybe I'll try it again one day, put it on easy, then go through it fast so I can see if I missed anything.
Thank you, thank you, thank you MJR! For giving some love to ENSLAVED. My favourite game of that generation. Loved the story, and had a huge crush on Trip!
Its funny that everytime i get back into collecting a system you always come out with a video about it. I just picked up 10 360 games
Still playing on my Xbox 360 🐐🐐
Just like the good old days
It absolutely does not have near 100% as we learned. Most of that comes from Xbox 1. Limited OG and 360 games. Buy a 360 if you want 360
Just did this. Found a new 360 and it's my first one ever!
When I had my XBox 360 the games I played the most were the MGS remakes. So happy they were remastered for this generation! 😁
The prices will explode when 1 million people go to ebay looking for Singularity. 🤣🤣🤣
that's what happens every time someone makes these videos, sucks but thems the breaks
I have singularity. If anyone wants it, I'm taking offers lol
Well you can get it on PC pretty cheap it goes on sale often that's how I got it, it aint that rare of a game 🤣
Nah it won’t when eb games / games stop sell it for $5 . When they stop selling ps3/360 then prices go up
No the prices will explode when the physical copy becomes more rare over time due to poor (usually african-american) kids treating their discs like crap.
Riddick is a amazing mention. Main game that probably brought me back to FPS genre back with Butcher Bay.
Spec Ops was definitely another good one. One of my top 10-20 list from that gen.
Enslaved, another one of my favorites. Bought it brand new back then, guess I was one of few who supported it fully, haha.
Alpha Protocol, another fav, glad you are mentioning so many hidden gems.
"NEAR 100% BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY"
Plays 63 OG Xbox Games...
not even 50% of entire 360 library is even playable. so a bit of false information here but then again, this video came out before Series X/S launched/revealed.
@@bearabletable7527 Yeah, the scammers are Microsoft. Not the poster of the video.
About 7:40 Metal Jesus predicts the future in the dead space segment
I still got my 360 gonna beat Skyrim. when exams are over
I did just this....about 6 years ago! Hahaha
I still need to beat it too!
@@rhi2dtwo93 One does not Simply "Beat" and Elder Scrolls Game lol
I finished years ago then re bought the special edition not played it yet.
How do you avoid getting vampirism?
Xbox 360 was such a good console. I still play mine all the time, been a life saver in lockdown. thanks for another great video!
I would love for a new Condemned game or even releasing them on switch
Thank goodness this is one collection i never got rid of. I have 200 plus my self and have been gradually playing what ever works on my One S.
360 last of the great consoles when games were made complete
And the last generation where they took more risks
Just bought a 2006 xbox 360 from value village with 2 controllers for 20 bucks 🇨🇦works great 🎉❤
Thank you for acknowledging Spec Ops: The Line. It’s truly a fantastic game that gets overlooked because people think it is just another shooter.
Crash time is an amazing series i have all 5 of them. i still play them quite a lot, glad you mentioned one here
I really hope the BC is more than it was on the One! Would be bad ass.
There is ONE game from the 360 I loved so much that when my unit got the RROD, I kept it safe. And... that one single game never became backwards compatible. Out of thousands of titles, somehow the amazing Eternal Sonata just slipped through the cracks. So here it sits, unplayed.
"You play as John Woo", come on, MJ, you should've known better
My bad. LOL
Yeah hahahaha
I was thinking the exact same thing... "You play as John Woo? What...?"
Yeah, my first thought was, "Wait a minute, that was Chow Yun-fat who was in the game and it was based on a John Woo film."
Actually not a bad idea to play a game as the director of the game. Playing John Woo? Sure.
"Cut!"
That's a great collection! I loved my Xbox 360 Elite. So many great games, good times.
"I hope that Microsoft brings back Fable on the Xbox Series X" i think in a couple of weeks at the Xbox Event show you are about to get your wish!
MrFree2BeMe1 it’s been rumored!
I recently played fable anniversary on the xbox one and its awful... Not for the game itself but the framerate and stuttering give me headache... IDont why.. Even Rdr2 looks amazingly good for this old fat console, and is stable...
The fact Afro samurai and space marine are back to back in this video and I literally just randomly picked both those games this past weekend at a thrift store is a sign! 🙌🏼
I would also suggest "Binary Domain" for the X360...IMO it's more fun than "Singularity" and "Syndicate".
Abdulaziz Alsaqer I will look into it, so its worth $10 then?
360 love, hell yeah! One of the best game libraries of all time.
Loved the editing in this video! The box next to the video looks really great!
Yay! Thank you!
free remasters at 4k and 60fps in the series x all you need is the game disc
-and thanks for showing fuel , that is my favorite 360 racer
0:13 dude, I wish! Their website says there’s only 472 360 titles and of course every time there’s a game I want to play it isn’t backwards compatible. Lol
It's now at 630, kinda disappointing.
Syndicate’s plat glitched on me a few years ago and I decided to throw in the towel on collecting trophies. Kinda a blessing in disguise for me in retrospect looking back.
Just got spilt second playing it on the Xbox 1 x
Great game it’s going to be amazing playing all these games on series x and maybe with some enhancements
That’s why I’m buying a series x before the ps5
I remember an RPG called enchanted arms I really loved that RPG was awesome. Got mixed reviews though but I still loved it.
The Condemned series is so underrated
Your videos with all these titles and footage are awesome, The best!
Xbox Series X, backwards Compatibility is important!
Yet no games have been made backwards Compatibility since like forever, important... clearly microsoft doesn't think so.
@@matthewbraith0411 they stopped the BC program for xcloud bro. It's coming back soon the, the BC emulation team

I actually started to play xbox 360. Budget is probably my main reason, but watching your channel from time to time, I know that there are lots of cool games thats just worth enough to play. And yes, there are many shops offering a super low price! This episode freshening my horizon.

Metal Jesus says, "I think EA should go back and remaster these for the next-gen consoles" while talking about Dead Space 1 & 2. This aged so well :') . Just put my controller down, playing Dead Space Remake on the PS5 for 5 hours straight. ♥️
I just finished that game on my ps5 and went back to buy 2 and 3 to go through on series x!
"Near 100% compatability with all xbox generations" is misleading. The BC catalog is more like 60% at the *MOST* .
Exactly, I was a bit flabbergasted when he said that
@@carlosbirger5151 Yeah I interpreted that as meaning BC would be greatly expanded with the Series X over the XB1.
U cant have it all pal.
Steve S. No you can’t but him saying you can, and maybe you can, will possibly set people up for disappointment.
I thought near 100% backwards compatibility was Microsoft's goal with the Xbox Series X? Is that now not true?
Singularity is the hidden gem of the 360 era the bullet controlled Sniper is phenomenal and the multiple endings gave replay ability. I highly recommend it to anyone!
