Hey Josh! Im studying to become an AI developer, will a macbook pro 14 with the base chip be able to handle all of the relevant workload. Also curious on what specs you recommend. Maybe even a m1 pro be enough? Im also taking a course on the side to become a data analyst. Could the m4 handle that type of workload as well? I eagerly want to start building AI models etc but only have a phone atm. There are so many options and people give different advice, you seem to know exactly what you are talking about so please help!
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura seems like the best option for most students / office work. Yoga Pro 9i for professional work. And if u game a lot Zephyrus G16. Macbook Pro is obvious choice for macos lovers.
@SimBargo Professional work can be a lawyer or accountant. Both do not need the Yoga Pro 9i. Those professionals would be fine with the Yoga Slim 7i Aura edition. More likely, they will get a ThinkPad T14 G5/G6. The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i is for creative professionals. Photography, video editors, DJs, and marketing.
I almost bought a macbook air when they announced that they will sell the base with 16gig and they don't change the price. With this update the air feels like a great bang for the buck laptop. Luckily it was not available at release in my country so had time to rethink it and realized that most of the software that I may need in the future is not supported on mac. Like I'm an MEP engineer, I may enroll and online course in the future, thinking about going back to university for masters ect... So I guess my only choice is staying with windows.
Based on a few of your recent videos, I went with a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, and haven't looked back. I ordered the 32GB version, and it's a beast. Great display, excellent keyboard, great sound, and a truly excellent battery life. I had my concerns about the Lunar Lake, but it handles every task (and light gaming sessions) that I throw at it. Thanks a ton for all of the work you do.
Nice list but I disagree very strongly with lumping dev laptops in with creator laptops. Most devs are a lot happier with display, keyboard, battery life, multi core, ram. GPU? just drains battery.
@@JustJoshTech To be fair you've covered that stuff pretty well recently and a lot of devs for personal laptops want to game or do some cuda stuff maybe. You're the reason I will probably be buying a slim 7i aura 15 when it is available in 32GB next week here despite it's limited multicore. Nothing but good things to say about your channel.
I want a laptop that has all of these things *and* a GPU that can be turned off so the thing lasts on battery. Then when you want to game you turn it on again
Another drawback of the MacBook for specific people is software and gaming support. Depending on your field, you'll often find that certain software, engineering for example, aren't supported.
i feel like the zenbook s16 should be in the programmer section. amazing build quality with a stunning 16in oled panel and one of the lightest 16 in chassis with great multicore performance and battery.
Some good options I have seen: - M3 Air at $1,100 with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage. Seen on Amazon USA website. - Surface Laptop 7 13.8 inch at $1,050 for 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage. Seen on Microsoft's direct website.
The Surface 7 13.8 inch with 512 GB storage and 16 GB RAM is available at Microcenter for $800. This is with the X Plus and not the faster X Elite tho.
@akin242002 I bought the laptop already and just sharing the deal with others now lol. And I agree. I watched Josh's review and apparently you won't get the full performance of the Elite unless you get the 15 inch version for better cooling.
I'm about to start my thesis and my 1tb + 16gb 6800U laptop is already completely full, and frankly I can't even make do with 16gb anymore (computer architecture student). So much software I have to download is >100gb, and I need multiple sub packages and libraries to make things work. I also want to use Cuda to try and accelerate CNN training, and I would like a Zen 5 or lunar lake laptop (Vivado and Quartus require x86 to execute and compile VHDL/Verilog into RTL), and at least 32gb of ram, pref 64gb, and in a 14 inch chasis. Unfortunately right now I don't think there is a single laptop that fits this need that isn't a bulky gaming laptop! The closest would be a PX13, however I really don't want to go smaller screen for coding. It's quite dissapointing! Hopefully the G14 gets refreshed at CES with the new processors as this is a real market - i.e. the graduate and above level STEM market - that is basically exclusively in the ball of Macbooks assuming your software can run on them!
problem with 64gb is that they are rare and super expensive. What I do when I buy a laptop I don't care about preinstalled ssd or ram. It's something I just upgrade right away and then find the best deal with the other features I want. So just make sure you can upgrade but that upgradability makes them a bit thicker than soldered or course. Otherwise just get a kitted out macbook as you said ;)
@@fooboomoo I would definitely prefer a macbook, or honestly a qualcomm laptop since they are so cheap and seem very premium (Surface Laptop + Lenovo Slim 7x), however unfortunately the software used to accelerate the design process for computer architecture is only on x86 platforms. A forum post was made on Xilinx AMD (The developers of Vivado, the most popular IC and Computer Arch design software), and the official response was the algorithm to turn high level VHDL/Verilog code into RTL (Register Transfer Language) requires binaries that can only run on the x86 instruction set (downsides of RISC vs CISC architectures). So unfortunately, my hands are tied in the very expensive hands of high end hardware that doesn't feel and sound like a microwave and that doesn't die after 2 hours of use away from the wall (i.e. non gamer laptops). Also I believe Lunar Lake and Zen 5 only have soldered ram, as the RAM is now baked onto the SOC as apart of the design. Same as meteor lake. If framework can't make it work that I have low hopes for any other manufacturer. Sadge 😥
How about a razer blade 14? Expensive but if you just buy the base model you can upgrade the ram yourself up to 96gb. I’m pretty sure it’s the only 14 inch gaming laptop with upgradable ram on the market.
Hi Josh. I know black friday deals make everyone crazy to buy new things on sale, but could you do a video recommending used laptops to buy for example in ebay and which deals to look for.? I think that we should also encourage to recycle and repair laptops that are in good conditions and that can also be a good option for people on a budget
I’d just like to say, not having touch-screen is a plus for me. I hate grubby fingerprints all over the panel. My code does not need embellishing with greasy marks.
The Macbook Pro M4 Pro (14c) has already been amazing for myself as a mobile (mostly Android) engineer (and Civ/Minecraft player)! I can easily see myself using it until software support is dropped, maybe even after!
Great video! Just a couple things I'd like to throw out there: * You can now run Linux (fedora 41 w/ KDE plasma) pretty much perfectly on the G16/P16. All games run beautifully, RGB is configurable, and you're looking at 8-10 hours of battery life on integrated graphics. * For Macs, I think there is a real downside now, which is that they are the least compatible of all laptops right now, even snapdragon. You really feel the limitation if you want to play games, but compared to Linux or Windows, you're just not going to be able to run everything you want. If you're used to the ecosystem and you just use one or two apps for work though, they are amazing.
The 15-inch Surface Laptop 7 is definitely better for battery life than the 13-inch - I tried one for a while and it handled a real workload with plenty of battery life to spare. With that said, the sort who can buy a 15-inch laptop in that price class might need more app compatibility or performance.
Not sure if you guys overlooked it or just didn't update it, but that same Macbook Air m2 with 16gb of ram is the same price, $749. Your guys link takes you to the 16gb model.
Yes its a better deal, we couldn't find the 8g version. Please note, that stock is coming and going very quickly at this time of year. Our website is going to be kept up to date more frequently than here
I feel like compatability issues need to be mentioned with macbooks like they are with the snapdragon laptops. I know it isnt quite as bad, but it is still a huge issue. Macbooks basically dont run any engineering software natively, and are unable to play most triple a games.
I just bought a niche laptop, the Tuxedo Infinitybook 14... I don't have it yet... But it shows a lot of promise. For 1400 bucks I'm getting: a 16 : 10 1800p 120hz display with 100% sRGB, a Ryzen 7 8845HS, 32GB DDR5 RAM (upgradable), a 2TB NVMe (and an empty slot to add another one later), bespoke assembly, and options for my OS (I chose the "no OS" option). The chassis is a magnesium aluminum alloy, and I'm told that the keyboard and trackpad feel premium. Almost everything about this laptop was customizable. If all of this checks out, this has the potential to be a hard hitting laptop, and I can't wait to try it. I guess when I get it, I can report back my findings... I can compare it to the Yogabook 9i, the Surface Laptop Go 2, and the GPD Pocket 3
@@archaurore3323 Yes, I'm going to put Arch on it... But Tuxedo doesn't offer Arch as an option for a pre-installed OS... And that makes sense... Even if they did, I'd still want to build Arch myself anyway.
The best gaming laptop starting at $2.300 + tax is just hilarious to me. I'd imagine that most gamers are quite young and have quite limited budgets but what do I know.
gaming laptops make no sense anyways. They are just e waste when they overheat, sound like jet engines and get 0 performance when unplugged. Only upside is that they are "portable" but weigh a ton so in the end, gaming focused laptops are awful.
I know you recommend hp flip but at uk pricing would your recommendations change. Eg Hp flip with 226v 16/512 for £1250 or yoga 7i with 155h 32/1tb for £1050
@gabl4157 the lunar lake laptops are also quiet. I have the zenbook 14 and the fans never kick on. But that's all subjective. I care more about application compatibility
9:44 I reeeeeeeeeeally want that AMD G16, but cannot find a 64GB ram model as the ram is soldered on and maxes at 32GB! And that random 4070 limitation is annoying too
minisforum v3 is the 2024 laptop of the year for me. it doesn't really strictly function well as a 'laptop' on your lap while on the move or smth, that's the only downside I see
Macbook Air M3 is the best. Bought one for $899 16gb/256ssd during Bestbuy sale. I have used Windows laptops for years...but this one is significantly faster and better battery life than any of those. I like Windows UI a little better, but I have adapted to Mac and I'm impressed. It can even do some light gaming. I still keep my Omen Transcend 14 nearby, which has a better keyboard and display, but Mac isn't that bad in those areas and runs circles around it with speed on battery and battery life.
@Josh, M2 and M3 Airs now come with 16GB by default, as per latest Apply news. So now we simply avoid the old 8GB versions and get the much better offer with the 16GB, as the pricing is the same. And considering how good the M chips are, these become a super value now.
How does the G14 with Ryzen 9 8945HS and RTX 4070 compare to the G16 with Ryzen AI 9 HX and a 4070? Would like a smaller form factor but don’t want to compromise if the G14 is significantly worse.
The main difference is the G16 will feel much cooler to the tough in light use and is a little faster. The G14 always feels warm. The G16 is a big step up with Zen 5. If you get the G14 you need to be ok with a warm feeling laptop
It seems like you guys have a strong preference for small laptops (13-14") while most people want medium laptops (15-16"). It could be a little much but dividing each category into small (13-14"), medium (15-16") and large (17+") would give everyone an option independent of size preference. For me a 17" laptop is perfectly portable and I'd rather have a large screen with me than a smaller bag - can't see the point at all as it doesn't decrease the stuff carried around 🤷♂
I’m ordering Lenovo Ideapad Pro 5 14” Gen 9. AMD Ryzen 7, 32 GB RAM, RTX 3050 6GB, 1 TB storage. Hope it will last longer with me. Thanks to the Black Friday discount.
@@junaidv1989 I'm planning on doing that as well. Have you used it long enough to test the battery yet? How is it? I am planning on using it as a productivity laptop to run engineering applications while also gaming on the side.
12-core pro chip or 14-core pro chip? The 12 has longer battery is it worth it? Keep the laptop for 7 years, maybe I should get the 14-core pro chip instead?
Most tasks doesn't scale well over 4-6 cores, many will only use 1-2 cores. Unless you know you have a need for the extra cores just save your money or spend them on added storage. Or maybe an extra charger, a nice bag or whatever.
I'm starting an engineering master's soon, so I decided to upgrade from my MateBook X Pro (2018). If I wasn't worried abt compatibility, I would for sure get a macbook because I'm prioritizing portability and power efficiency over everything else. I'm probably getting the Zenbook S14. Even though I'm a little worried abt performance, It can't be worse than my six year old laptop
I just orderd the vivobook s14 with ryzen ai 370hx 32gig ram and 1T storage. After this video I'm start to questioning my decision, but I feel like for my use case the laptop will be what I'm looking for.
@joelconolly5574 I don't really and even if I do it's either lol or HS so nothing demanding. Tho I saw the new chips have really strong integrated GPUs during the holidays I may try some games I couldn't play in the past years.
I'm planning to buy Yoga pro 9i (core ultra 9 185H, 64 GB RAM, RTX 4070). However, I saw/read many users complaining that the battery lasts only for 2-3 hrs even in low to medium load. Does it really have such a bad battery life? If so, I'll think about changing my choice to Zephyrus G16 (with AMD AI9 370HX).
Why would anyone recommend the HP Aero 13 at a discounted rate of $599-669 (current price) over the brand new Asus Vivobook S14 at $649 which is its current price at Best Buy? Both rely on discounted rates to be worth the buy, but the latter is newer and at least on paper seems to offer significantly better value. I understand we don't know how long the S14 will stay at that price, but the Aero 13 is not at 599 most of the time either. The Vivobook has MUCH better battery life, better iGPU, Intel Core Ultra Gen 2 Copilot+ features, OLED screen with greater brightness and HDR support, better build quality, faster storage, better cam, better speakers, and better port selection. The Aero has better multicore, and a non glossy IPS panel, and is a bit lighter. But it's also less sturdy. Any explanation?
Please do a video on 16:10 vs 3:2 aspect ratio. I'm a big believer that 3:2 should be the standard on laptops 15 inches and smaller. For everyday tasks, vertical space matters so much more than horizontal space. Everything still feels cramped on 16:10.
Yeah I was going to go M4 Pro 16" with 48GB RAM and 1TB SSD, but for $300 more I can go with the binned M4 Max chip with 36GB RAM and 1TB SSD. I feel like I might go for a little less RAM and get one with more potential GPU for future proofing. Still debating though
One video dedicated towards explaining all processor lineups by AMD and Intel and One video on budget convertible laptops will help a lot. Most 2 in 1 mentioned here are way out of budget for most people.
Need 16gb ram and 512gb storage. Prefer Intel . Needs to be able to handle all forms of Adobe workshop. I like the Yoga 7i's price. Will the Snapdragon support all Adobe use? Thank you.
I'm just watching the vid now but your praise of MacBooks had me order a 16GB memory MacBook Air m3 for 850 USD from Amazon with $150 of Applecare plus
What would be your winner for a budget performance laptop? Like a budget version of the G16, ProArt 16, or Yoga Pro 9i that is under $1000. Does it exist?
Thanks for your help Josh, I purchased the Lenovo yoga s7i aura edition. It's perfect, its only drawback is that it just feels a little dull to look at!
I think my hp omnibook ultra with the Ryzen ai 365, 32gb of ram, 1tb of storage for 899 (often on sale at best buy for $600 off) is a steal for anyone looking. Good battery life and insane performance for the money
Should I prefer mac over windows for machine learning and deep learning tasks? And is mac air good for building deep learning models as it doesn’t have any cooling systems?
The MacBook Air is good for light machine learning but struggles with heavy deep learning due to the lack of a dedicated GPU and cooling and For more serious work a Windows laptop with a powerful GPU or using cloud services is a better choice.
Thanks for the note re Vivobook. Any sudden sale will change these picks. That's why we have our website btw so we can be quick and dynamic to update our recommendations.
I need help picking a laptop you guys. I'm so overwhelmed I just want someone to tell me which one to get. Here is what i will be using it for: editing videos from my iphone or other cameras, internet browsing, playing roller coaster tycoon on openrtc2, and a lot of writing in Word and in script writing software. not interested in a MAC. My budget is Max $1000 Canadian. Please help.
Would have loved an honourable mention of the Ideapad Pro 5 14 or 16 with Ryzen 8845HS At least in Europe its the cheapest 32GB RAM Laptop with a almost current CPU and long battery life as well as high res screen. Costs 800€ for students (to compare to US prices detract 20% VAT so about 650$) Lunar Lake Aura costs 1350€ for students (60% more! than the ideapad; also ideapad has 50% better multicore but only 10% worse single core) ProArt P16 or P13 costs upwards of 2300€ Zephyrus G16 also 2300€ And yeah macbook pros well you know the prices So not really good laptops for CS students who need good CPU, 32GB ram, decen sreens but dont really have money for 2000€ machines
Even if the only drawback of the MacBook Pro is the price, Windows laptops at the same price don't even come close to being the all-round package of performance and efficiency that the MBP is. So even that drawback really isn't one.
I’d honestly reccomend the 14 inch unless you REALLY need that extra screen space. For the same specs, the 14 is only a 100 dollars more than the 15 and it comes with a much faster processor, a way better display (mini led and 120Hz), more ports and better speakers.
Josh, thank you for these reviews!! I’m pretty tech savvy and was having a difficult time deciding what to get because I’m a power user who jumps between all categories of usage. I also value things like keyboard feel, screen appearance, portability and fan noise. It wasn’t until I saw your videos and your website that I finally feel I have what I need to confidently make a decision. I use both Mac and PC but funnily enough, what holds me back from going MacBook Pro is that it’s not touchscreen. 😂
Let me jump in here as what you have commented doesn't play out like you'd think. We did a big video comparing all Snapdragon laptops. What we found was that the X Elite laptop's performance was far mode dependent on the wattage fed to the processor than the specific X Elite SKU. The Slim 7x laptop that we mentioned in this video was the best performing one that we tested even with a 78 chip vs a chip starting with an 8. Feel free to watch this video here: ua-cam.com/video/gKjlzy7nhqY/v-deo.html
Hey Josh & Team! Thanks again! I hope before the end of this year you can do another final line-up, including both 14 and 16 inch models for all category winners. And the X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura. Could you recommend me a 14-14.5 inch 16:10 laptop for medium load programming and casual use? (Other than Apple)
Hi, I am from Singapore I am curious that if I buy a laptop from US, what are the problems other than the different type of adaptor that I need to worry about? Or it's just not recommended?
Anyone have experience with the, Honor Magicbook art 14 ? (which has a detachable magnetic webcam, stored into the chassis & can flip 180 degrees to make front or rear facing) looks like a promising future idea?. *_Positives_* 120ghz (3.1k) 700nits (OLED) touch Large Haptic trackpad Good ports selection (2x Type-C, 1x Type-A, HDMI, Headphone) Metal construction *_Down side_* 3120x2080 Display No SD Card reader Battery life Price around £1000
hey Just Josh, what's your take on Asus zenbook 14 oled? could be amd or intel. I will mainly use it for programming: Mobile(Android Studio), web very light gaming: stardew valley, chef rpg, graveyard keeper daily drive: entertainment, notes, school stuff, and eventually for work. for its price point any laptops you recommend?
I love ThinkPads, but just speaking transparently, they just haven't innovated as much. Especially considering their price. We did look alot at them and did get in several. I'm not saying they are bad btw, I just would say top 20 but not top 10.
I'm actually deciding between Yoga Slim7i Aura Edition (testing rn), Rog Flow X16 2022, G16 Intel and a Thinkpad. Ordered them all, but I lean towards keeping Thinkpad - P1 Gen 6. Build quality, upgradeability and knowing it wont let me down for at least couple years. It's pity 15,6 inch form factor is not so popular anymore, the Yoga Slim 7i with 15,3 is perfect. Macbook Air 15 would have also been nice, if not for the screen and lack of ports. I briefly weighed the MBP, but 14 is a bit too small and16 is a bit heavy. I'm really curious about the G16 though, apart for the keyboard (long live Lenovo) it might actually be interesting.
As to the Macbook Air M2, Josh suggested sticking to basic applications with the Macbook Air M2 with 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage. Well, I will definitely say, nah, I've been using mine for a year editing 4k videos on Adobe Premiere Pro, editing photos on Photoshop, and sometimes doing all at once with 4 to 6 other applications running (Word, Audition, Safari, World of Tanks, PowerPoint), the best part is that it's light, and has a decent battery life, so I can work on the go and still deliver my deadlines. So it is capable beyond the basic applications.
I need mad help, I want a powerful quiet laptop for app development and light gaming. I'm currently on the ASUS Zephyrus g14 from 2021 and I honestly don't like the fan noise. At 35% utilization and these guys are active and the battery only lasts about 2hrs with me just coding (tbf I keep the brightness at 100%). I'm thinking of going to the dark side of M-series Macs (M2 - M3 because I'm not rolling in money) for app development since most iOS apps will eventually need Xcode. I'm just open to suggestions
I have seen the legion slim 5 14 go for around a 1000 dollars in the us for 4060 7840hs variant. Do upgradr the ram to 32gb since its soldered which is gonna cost around another 50 bucks. But idk about the fan noice on that thing. Or u could wait for the m4 pro since it is a significant jump over m3 and cyberpunk is also coming for macos. Bw m2 and m3 i would say go for m2 and save money since jump from m2 to m3 is not that significant imo.

@@JustJoshTech I agree with your choices, I am a dev who wants to game on the side. This channel is good for me

Explore the used market. If you need a basic laptop, used ThinkPad is the way to go.
We felt it got too warm to the touch to be a top pick for coders. We did discuss it. Its a good pick for sure, but we didn't feel top pick
@JustJoshTech Hi Josh, does the Zenbook S16 have batter battery life than the Yoga Pro 9i? (Both at their highest and best specs)
Zenbook S 14 is incredible. Super-light, super-long battery life
and dog slow
and more expensive than an M4 Macbook Pro, which is like 50% faster. Yeah, pass lmao
@@RodrigoFerreira-bs6hd The thing is some people cannot use Mac OS for personal or professional reasons.
@synen sadly I can't fully use one either. I seriously hope windows improves their arm64 app support.

Some good options I have seen:
- M3 Air at $1,100 with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage.
@AyyGin The Plus version isn't a bad option if someone has light use case for it.
@akin242002 I bought the laptop already and just sharing the deal with others now lol. And I agree. I watched Josh's review and apparently you won't get the full performance of the Elite unless you get the 15 inch version for better cooling.
MacBook Air as budget? Maybe in the US, in Europe the basic 13" 8Gb RAM 256 Gb SSD Air costs ~ 1000 euro.
you get what you pay for anyways.
Sadge
😥
that's a sign to just build a desktop mate
I never seen single software to occupy 20gb let alone 100gb by default
How about a razer blade 14? Expensive but if you just buy the base model you can upgrade the ram yourself up to 96gb. I’m pretty sure it’s the only 14 inch gaming laptop with upgradable ram on the market.
zephyrus on top, although i kinda wanna wait for the 5000 gpus and new redesigns before i buy the current years G16 or G14...
Thanks
The Macbook Pro M4 Pro (14c) has already been amazing for myself as a mobile (mostly Android) engineer (and Civ/Minecraft player)! I can easily see myself using it until software support is dropped, maybe even after!
Please never change! Always honest reviews and we will always love you.
Great video! Just a couple things I'd like to throw out there:
* You can now run Linux (fedora 41 w/ KDE plasma) pretty much perfectly on the G16/P16.
Our website is going to be kept up to date more frequently than here
There should be a category for or at least a mention of laptops with RAM slots.
15:10 that is insane efficiency! No wonder they cost so much nothing is touching them.
I feel like compatability issues need to be mentioned with macbooks like they are with the snapdragon laptops. I know it isnt quite as bad, but it is still a huge issue. Macbooks basically dont run any engineering software natively, and are unable to play most triple a games.
That is fair, we will do more of that next year.
@JustJoshTech sounds good, love the videos btw! I'll probably be getting the zephyrus G16 as my next laptop due to your recommendations.
I just bought a niche laptop, the Tuxedo Infinitybook 14... I don't have it yet... But it shows a lot of promise. For 1400 bucks I'm getting:
a 16 : 10 1800p 120hz display with 100% sRGB, a Ryzen 7 8845HS, 32GB DDR5 RAM (upgradable), a 2TB NVMe (and an empty slot to add another one later), bespoke assembly, and options for my OS (I chose the "no OS" option).
Are you getting it to use with Linux?
@@archaurore3323 Yes, I'm going to put Arch on it... But Tuxedo doesn't offer Arch as an option for a pre-installed OS... And that makes sense... Even if they did, I'd still want to build Arch myself anyway.
The best gaming laptop starting at $2.300 + tax is just hilarious to me. I'd imagine that most gamers are quite young and have quite limited budgets but what do I know.
Why should gaming laptops be cheap?
I would say they're probably over built but at the same time I can't justify paying the amount of a used car for a laptop
It’s the “best” gaming laptop not the most “affordable”. But I agree with you in the sense that gaming laptops are overpriced. I’d never buy one 😂
@@ipkislol Because most gamers are quite young and have quite limited budgets - obviously.
gaming laptops make no sense anyways. They are just e waste when they overheat, sound like jet engines and get 0 performance when unplugged. Only upside is that they are "portable" but weigh a ton so in the end, gaming focused laptops are awful.

What about refurbished Apple MacBook or Air, how do you select those? And are they trustworthy?

Please check our website, we have detailed notes on it there
The main difference is the G16 will feel much cooler to the tough in light use and is a little faster.

What about macbook air 15? Especially because of the larger screen. I want it for data analysis but I am confused between it and the mackook pro 14.
I’d honestly reccomend the 14 inch unless you REALLY need that extra screen space. For the same specs, the 14 is only a 100 dollars more than the 15 and it comes with a much faster processor, a way better display (mini led and 120Hz), more ports and better speakers.

Excellent Review - no mention of the Thinkpads?

Bw m2 and m3 i would say go for m2 and save money since jump from m2 to m3 is not that significant imo.
I love this review !!! very very high quality
