Hi, sorry I know this was posted a while ago now but im fitting my own custom intake to my gti and buying part’s separately to save a bit of £. I’ve been trying to figure out what the wire is for that inserts into the left of the stock air box ? I know it isn’t the maf sensor which plugs in closer to the turbo inlet Every install video I’ve seen they gloss of removing and reattaching that wire, thanks!
@@Chris_gti7.5 it won’t make any difference to power but it makes a good noise and let’s the car breathe easier with the all the other mods👍🏽agree it’s not essential but if you can afford it I would do it😂🔥🔥🤘🏽
That’s a very unattractive intake system. I’m ocd and there’s lots there to bother me. That small pipe going across and removing that intake panal on top of the rad looks odd. Great video tho well done.

i think it just hangs there, didnt need to do anything with it
The ramair intake kit fits and looks better in the R in my opinion.

@@Sdw77 no remap at the moment but I'm considering it plus different alloys
Well that should get you up to about 300hp + - try and get the turbo elbow and muffler delete done before you remap, will make a difference 🔥🤟🏽👍🏽
@@Sdw77 I have the turbo elbow 👍I did ask someone about the turbo muffler delete and they said they don't notice much difference
