New episode of Transit Action! This time we are back to MUNI, with light rail trains arriving and departing the two platforms at Forest Hill Station!
One of the reasons that I wanted to do a transit action video here is because this is one of the emptiest underground stations in the entire MUNI Metro Subway System, which means that it's safer and easier to record videos of trains.
During the video you will see a lot of Siemens trains (of course), and some Breda trains as well. Note that this was a weekday, so quite a big amount of Breda train cars is still out in service. You'll also hear some route announcements coming from the exterior speakers on the trains, some loud some quiet!

This station is where Clint Eastwood’s character in the 1971 film “Dirty Harry” answered Scorpio’s phone call and took a K car to deliver a ransom money
Pretty cool to see a lot of people doing muni metro content like this.
Between here and West Portal was where the power from the overhead would always flicker on and off lol. Riding the old PCC cars through here back in the day was always an adventure lol. That was when the K,L and M used to enter the tunnel at Castro and the West Portal entrance looked way different lol.

I've always wondered why don't the Eastbound trains stop at the back end of the platform to be closer to the exit?
No idea, most likely because of MUNI’s predefined automatically train control settings
If you plan to get off at Forest Hill Station heading eastbound, just be in the second car and exit at the very back of the LRV 2nd car.
