- Well with the horrible I.e cold,wet and windy weather we have been having of late and after last Saturdays boat trip for the Plaice I thought a few more weeks from the shore will do me and then it goes boat windy weather then beach......so with that in mind I'm thinking..... beginning of march Ray's!! Where else better than to start with and that's Southbourne......
Forecast was peach blowing then dropping off to nothing now thats a bit of me
On Arrival quit a few anglers up to right so to the left I went....
Armed with Sandeel,Squid,Worm and mackerel
After the first cast being a blank it was pretty much non stop fishing and for me unusualy a fair few dogs 🤣
Second to last cast a typical slack line bite now was it a doggie teasing me even on a slack line bite I will not strike it straight away wound the slack up lead went back in went slack again and so on for a couple of mins......oh well somethings on I seriously thought it was a doggie.....surprise surprise it was a little bit bigger than a tea bag Painted Ray......Happy Days

Yeah there's a stretch of road at the top of where you fish that's free to park and there's a lower carpark you can pay in but the carpark closes at 11pm both are only a couple of minutes away from where you fish......fish between any of the groynes they all fish well.....
