50% off. dude thats almost half
Big brain time
Maf
Damn your name and profile picture. Two awesome shows
50% off. Half off. Face off. Bells.....
@Negus Douglas Bruh are you dumb? 50% is at least like 49%. Meaning they TRIPLE their stacks. Gotta think in cheddar my man or you will be left behind
I love that he's once again wearing the hideous pink suit he bought specifically to get fired from Davis & Main. He's finally done pretending to fit in with the lawyer crowd, and is instead embracing his "colorful" side.
I like it
Hideous?
I actually like the suit
Dude that suit's drip material
I heard Odenkirk say this was one of the few scenes where he improvised dialogue, and you can totally tell. Some of these lines are just pure Mr Show moments.
where can i find this interview?
Andreas Nordvall Been using the word “Donnybrook” ever since I saw this scene. What a great word.
I recall another time, it was a montage where Jimmy's in the courtroom defending one client after another. It was early on in the series, but I can't recall which episode.
That makes sense. I dont love the Saul show but can watch most of the stuff with Bob. This is a great scene.
@Dias Alimzhan Mr Show is the sketch comedy show that Odenkirk used to act and write on.
This is such a sad scene. Chuck is afraid that jimmy might abuse the law and people could get hurt. So Chuck did everything he could to prevent jimmy to become a lawyer, which ironically turned jimmy into Saul Goodman. Chuck should have trusted jimmy all along...
Jimmy would have eventually gone that road anyway. He never had any respect for the law and was in a way naturally inclined to recklessness. Chuck might have been a bit jealous and cold-blooded towards his brother, but he was also right
I really don’t think so. Back when jimmy was practicing elder laws, we can tell that he was actually sincere and cared about the law. It was when Chuck betrayed him and took away what he earned by himself(the sandpiper case) made him this way. I’m not saying you are wrong, this is just my opinion
You just explained why this show is so great
Oswald White I’m not so sure. Jimmy never really cared about the law, even when he practiced elder law. He cared about his clients. In my opinion, there’s quite a difference there.
i dont think jimmy would be a perfect lawyer without chuck, but chuck helped in the creation of saul goodman
maybe jimmy wouldn't have ruined his life if chuck was a supportive brother, maybe he would just lose his license to practice or smt
I love how he’s fully transformed into Saul Goodman in this scene.
@j mula Well, this is one of the few instances where it makes sense to say it. We missed Saul, it's nice to see him in full "glory".
This is the moment Saul became Walter Jr.
This is the moment jimmy becomes mephisto.
Ohh no he isn't lol
Yeah, no, he hasn't fully embraced the identity yet
Fun fact: If Saul didn't make that discount, none of the events of Breaking Bad would have happened.
Mind = Blown 😲
How so?
@@kilroy4123 It caused Krazy-8 to get arrested and become a snitch. He later snitched on Jesse and Emilio, which caused Walter to meet Jesse on the drug bust and start the meth empire.
Forgive me if I’m wrong but he met Krazy-8 through Lalo and Nacho. Maybe I forgot something but he made Krazy-8 a snitch because Lalo wanted to inform DEA of Fring’s operations.
@@peri5552 If not the discount, these two guys in the opening scene of 5x02 wouldn't have bought a crap ton of drugs, Krazy-8 wouldn't have been arrested and he wouldn't become a snitch.
this is actually super beautiful watching jimmy analyzing what they probably would get in trouble for and really connecting with each one quickly that's hard to do but one thing saul is great at is keeping on his feet
Like he said to Walt, he is a “humanities guy”.
Saul knows people like Walt knows chemicals
@@jameswashere187 Walt could have been a world famous scientist doing ground breaking research like Stephen Hawking (he did physics but Walt does chemistry).
Saul could have been a famous late night TV star and a top level agent for other entertainers and a director for commercials and music videos. Knowing what people want is important in entertainment.
@@RenaldyCalixte"One of the smartest and most promising human beings I've ever known and this is the life you choose."
Especially with people who lack patience and will just knock you tf out/stab you etc
Huell loves that job. All he has to do is stand in one spot and talk, then collect money.
Do you think Huells happy?
@@jamesduffy7549 Reasonably
I like the subtle change in Jimmy's voice as he puts on his Saul persona. It's one thing that's really noticeable between BB and BCS when you first start watching them, as he kept to his normal self in early BCS seasons. He sounds a lot more gruff and playful whenever he's putting on his act
1:13 I love how this guy's so casual reaction like Saul is talking about something completely reasonable 😆
Never expected this show to surpass Breaking Bad, but it so has...
No
Daniel Castaneda yes
I disagree, but they are both great in different ways.
Breaking bad has Mr. potato to Scarface character of Walter White and Better Call Saul has a good lawyer to criminal lawyer. What saul friend we just wanna see what happens to her
Oh be quiet honestly
"I take it you might be someone who partakes in the uh HERB of the earth" as it cuts to the stoner I lost it there ROFL
That's literally me in the scene and I don't even smoke weed lmao
Love the touch of him pouring thermos coffee into a disposable cup.
gotta get those microplastics
Episode 6 is named: "Wexler vs Goodman" ...
MY HEART :(
Ma saul. :(
No Jimmy don't go all Saul
@Maxumoto Never go full Saul
wait seriously? I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not
💔
2:03 This was the moment Saul Goodman became there.
This is the one moment comments which is actually not a joke. YOU'RE RIGHT.
Fun fact: the song playing during this clip is called “The Sidewinder” by Lee Morgan. A sidewinder is a type of snake native to the southwestern us. Make of that what you will...
Swindler
It's one of several pit vipers...actually a kind of rattlesnake.
You know why God made snakes before he made lawyers?
He needed the practice
It's also a type of air to air missile. And a map in halo CE. Make of that what you will
I love that stuff. It was called funk before that word was appropriated by soul music. There are a couple of great samplers on Blue Note - Funk & Blues, and Blue Funk.
Was good to see Robert Forster one last time
RIP
*RIP ...*
Where is he in this?
@@Raut-warrior In the first episode on the black and white (after breaking bad) part..Saul concerned he's been compromised and calls Ed the Dissaperarer (Robert Foster)
He is a true American hero
Standing for the weak
Giving them free phones
This is such a convincing scene when it comes exposing how Saul had such a massive clientele. It would make sense that all these people would eventually run into the law and actually call him.
This is the moment when Huell turned into Heisenberg
when Mary came out of the crawlspace, only Minerals got out.
Dead meme
Bravo Vince!!
Landslide became heisenberg
@@Actiomedey its really played out
His hair, oh my god. First thing that jumped out at me. He's committed to this carnival barker schtick.
I dont see why people think of saul as a bad guy, the justice system needs someone like him to keep investigators and prosecutors honest or they'll get comfortable convicting people without solid evidence
@Mr7Reality He’s evil but he’s honest about being evil. That’s why he’s so lovable. Unlike Walt who is a pure hypocrite.
Except the part that he fabricates evidence lol
It's truly interesting that our justice system needs sleazy defense lawyers getting criminals off with a slap on the wrist in order for prosecutors not to get lazy or worse. True balance seems to be impossible and despite what they say justice isn't blind.
The justice system needs con artists and drug cartels?
Well, yeah, those two detectives were so eager to get Nacho for the kettlemens going missing but Mike from his personal experience believed Jimmy's theory.
Better Call Saul has the most sophisticated script of all time
3:15 "Dude that's almost half!" 😳
I feel like this show has all the drama and super intense moments that Breaking Bad had, but it also had these moments of pure hilarity to break up the tension. I thought BB would be my all-time favorite show and BCS would disappoint me but I think I like BCS even better.
This hasn’t been explored yet, but if they had made a Saul vs Walt arc, Saul could have held his own. With the amount of connections and immense charisma/manipulation, Saul could topple empires. Just wondering.
that's really interesting thought. Imagine if saul take sides with Mike or Gus. Walt would be obliterated instantly.
But Saul weakness is he's mentally weak and still has moral conflict. While walt would choose murder in his first thought
I think the writers of this show could topple empires
3:42 During COVID lockdown three years ago we unhearted the old Wii and I taught my 6-year-old kid playing bowling. He learned the game faster than *Skynet* and within the span of three weeks he became an ace player. Almost three years later he has pushed the game to its limit, scoring a perfect game of 300 - 12 strikes in a row.
When he succeeds seemingly impossible shots, I call him "magic man" and every time, I think about Huell at 3:43 "Well done, magic man".
“...oh you’re not lazy, no one ever accused you of that!”
The is the moment the Magic Man ran out of phones.
The little argument between Mike and Gus was exciting to watch!
Honestly, this is like the best lead gen an ambulance chaser could ever do. It's brilliant.
2:27 This is the moment when Saul turned into Hector Salamanca
😂😂😂
lol
I didnt know Huell was facing 25 years down in Guadelupe. What a lawyer Saul is!!
This season started so damn good. Amazing episode
that song starts so abruptly and yet soothes in so lightly that i had to watch the video 2 times more to check when it actually starts. The second time, it started and i didnt realze. LOL
my favorite montage so far
Best first episode EVER.
Above all, Jimmy was hard working
Amazing beggining, the relation jimmy / kim and gus/lalo is so tense right now. This season is gonna be epic.
Mike / Gus too
@@waterwater7814 yes, but we know the end of mike and gus (working together till end) but we dont know what happen to kim and Lalo.
@Dias Alimzhan yes but at some point in season 3 he could be alive, remenber that saul said to walther "lalo send you? " Later we know that every salamanca man in family is dead.
@Dias Alimzhan you cant say that because we dont know if he was alive or dead. Gus could kidnaped lalo , because remember this: gus had the chance to kill tio salamanca or even let him die but didnt doit because he wanted revenge and let him suffer.
Yup, I love this guy
I wish I had a lawyer like Saul. That's service. Compared to what I've paid real lawyers in the past, and gotten out of them lol
@Mr7Reality he is, imagine Chuck in that same situation
This is the most mr show moment in the series. It's so bob it feels perfect
Fantastic scene!! ❤❤
Yo I forgot they had Lee Morgan ripping it in the background
Saul is a top tier conman, salesman, and an even better lawyer.
I just got this on my recommendations and didn’t regret a single bit because of the sidewinder by the great lee Morgan!
this is art
I love this scene.
This is the exact moment when 'con man Albuquerque' was born
Hello from Ireland Saul ya rocket!
Id like to see more scenes where he does fixes for criminals you can empathise with
Lee Morgan’s Sidewinder to give this scene the propper mood, delicious
I can't believe he would actually give a 50% discount. How could he afford that? That's like, almost half.
One thing this series does better than any other series ever: it shows WORK. Reading contracts, selling phones, setting up for a "hit," whatever. We're told very little but we see with our eyes Kim highlighting points in a legal document, reading line by line: we see Jimmy drumming up his clientele, all night, one after another. Hell, we watch "Gene" opening his shop, his morning routine. Love it.
3:42
Priceless
3:28 I know you rewound there at least once to double check if it wasn't Pinkman
The side Winder - Lee Morgan
Love how the other guy subtly nods at 1:12
Chuck has always been the self entitled brother proud he was the "better one" change my mind.
Nah I won't cause that how I see it
I 90% agree with you but 10% disagree with you.
I'd love to see the ad asking for extras for this scene.
I love his hairstyle
any scene with huell is a good scene
Man, Jimmy is a real business man!
Hilarious! an explosion of Saul Goodman!
Number 1 on the speed dial right next to your weed dealer.
More please.
This guy is chill
This is the moment Saul Goodman became Better Call Saul
He’s selling Saul Phones
Business 101: if you don't close the client, make sure they leave with your card.
the moment saul goodman became saul magicman
Say hello to my little friend 🤣🤣
GOLD!
You know, I really thought that montage was building toward a climatic ending with Jimmy saying "Better Call Saul" for the first time. (I'm a season or so behind in the series, not sure of he's already said it by this point.)
That's a true blue American lawyer. He cares for you, Saul Goodman.
I need one of those phones!
for a sec there i thought the guy who he told "your not hurting anyone" was the actor who played j jonah jameson
3:12 **Hears this after getting busted for teasing the Drive-Thru order box at the fast food place**
This is the moment where Saul Goodman turned into the Magic Man.
This is the moment where Walter White becomes Heisenberg.
Am I the only one who mentioned the ‘Poof’ reference to Breaking Bad in this scene? Vince Gilligan... absolute amazing sense for detail.
speedy justice
The song is The Sidewinder by Lee Morgan
I know it's a bit corny to say at this point, and it's been memed to all hell, but this scene really showed how Jimmy had completely become Saul Goodman at this point.
Saul, I missed you old friend.
As his professional identity? Yes
As his personal identity? Not yet. At least not entirely
@@BroadwayRonMexico After the recent episodes, looks like there was more ways to go.
I take it back, I want Jimmy back 😭
@@memerofblaviken6326 gimme jimmy!!!
1:26 jack black crackhead brother
😂💀
He could be the son of Strawberry from Cheech and Chong.
"25... years..." I think that pause is him realizing that it's a ridiculous figure, then realizing that the person he's talking to is too dumb to call him on it.
00:22 The Sidewinder .... crea toda la atmósfera
This is the moment Mountain Man becomes a Churros fried dough seller. No, actually. 0:11
Mountain Man has had so many jobs. He's a body guard for strippers in El Camino which takes place after Walter White's death.
Damn that's a lot of bell ringing...
That's what you call a sidewalk sale.
He is literally ALWAYS selling something
Your not hurting anyone who doesn't want to be....DING
when will ep 2 be up on amc website? ep 1 was great
I don't know about AMC website, but it will be on Netflix tomorrow.
@@melboro8745 did not know i could watch it on netflix ,that's even better thanks
Get a VPN from Latin America to watch it on Netflix every tuesday.
i know well how it is when you have to tell the same thing over and over and over again to customers. you start altering your lines slightly with time and they become so automated that you dont even think about what you are saying
Scenes like this just make a man want to go to law school.
This is where Saul Goodman turned into Hector Salamanca
Almost works like a life alert.........
This is the moment Jimmy became mephisto.
He is going to be very busy.
They should have titled this episode 'call number one'
