  • I've been on Vraylar for over and have documented my progress. For me, besides the cost, it's been THE med. (All views are of course anecdotal and subjective.)

Lol I love the shirt!! That is classic! But great information on Vraylar. I am wondering if I should ask my doctor about this, I hear it works for Schizophrenia/Schizoaffective too. Right now my anti-psychotic is Zyprexa, and like most of them it causes extreme drowsiness. The only one that didn't cause me to be tired was Rexulti. I was on Rexulti for 2 years then it lost it's effectiveness, but it was my favorite because it was the only one with no side effects. Other ones I've been on are Seroquel, Abilify, Latuda, and Invega, all which caused me to be tired as well as a few other side effects. You are really the only person I know of who's been on Vraylar this long and gives out this much information on it, I love your channel.

Terry, did you experience any akathisia like side effects in the beginning or any other point? Do you take it at night or morning? And what dose are you on? THANKS FOR HELPING US ALL OUT, YOUR MAKING A DIFFERENCE, EVEN IF ITS JUST ONE PERSON'S LIFE, THAT'S STILL A DIFFERENCE. Much love man!

Crap, I forgot to mention that this drug has almost zero sedating qualities. No akathisia and the stuff is so slow release that it doesn't really matter when you take it. I'm on 3mg, and less and problems, any more and can't think.

I personally experienced akathisia at the beginning of the therapie. It switched with sedating effects every 20 minutes. After two months both effects faded away.

@@DerDrako 1.5 mg, you had akathisia?

Sup Terry. I am also from Bama and understand exactly what you're talking about with school. 😎
Anyhow, I have tried all the newer atypicals. I got on Latuda a few years ago in the hospital. After I got home I got akathisia. That's a big NOPE for me as I despise akathisia.
So my doc put me on Rexulti. It made me gain a lot of weight (even though it's supposed to be weight neutral).
So now I am trying Vraylar. I am only on 1.5 but I've had no side effects. No akathisia, no EPS, and I don't think I'll have much weight gain. Only side effect is some insomnia (I wake up after a couple hours). Only been on it a week and I hope it works. I am hopeful.
Oh I want to ask, have you ever tried Trileptal? I've been on it a long time and it seems to control mania (not much good for depression).
Finally, love that shirt. I want one with Zyprexa. 😄

Hey I hope you’re still feeling good and working that new job! I’ve got a question when you started vraylar did your eating increase? Mine has increased like zyprexa and I’m only taking 1.5 every 6 days because of this. It still holds me level and I feel good but fk the eating and binge shopping. Did this happen to you

I was wondering if you were experiencing disorganized thinking or racing thoughts b4 vraylar like this- Vegas running cartridge fridge shower happy . All mixed up like that? Cause you stated you had bad confusion and mixed up thoughts i thought in one of your previous videos. I go through this sometimes especially upon waking up

As a german citizen, I must have a health insurance. But its relatively moderate in costs. My copay is 10€. 1200$ is just absurd.

Welcome to the land of the Medical Industrial Process. Just think about it, when a woman has a child, there is literally a line item charging for the hand off. Oh yeah, the tire on my car went belly up, so I had to go two weeks without all of my med because I didn't have the cash.

@@consecutiveprimes That is insane. Im just sorry for all of you, who have to live with such an inhumane health system.
I live with Vraylar since the beginning of the year. Your videos have taken my anxiety of the med. Thank you for that. I am now on 3mg a day. It doesnt work that well, but at least I am not that psychotic anymore and more empathic.
Thank you Terry for keeping up. It means a lot to me.
