They didn't kill the Game Maker. President Snow had the Game Maker kill himself for allowing both Peeta and Katniss to survive the Hunger Games. Remember he kept warning him to be careful. Basically telling him that if the game didnt end to his satisfaction, the Game Maker would be the one to die. President Snow is the one who had ordered the bowl of berries be placed in the locked room with him and told the guards to lock him in the room. Katniss doing what she did for her talent was to tell the new Game Maker and the others that her real talent was killing Game Makers.
Remember what Peeta was saying in the first hunger game movie, He didn’t want them to change him, make him into something he’s not,he didn’t want to be a pawn and Look what Snow did to him So very Sad😢 💔
Snow left Seneca the berries as an ultimatum that he had to kill himself as punishment for failing to squash the hope Katniss was creating in the districts.
I love how suspicious you are of everyone. Haha! A few things. 1. President Snow killed Seneca Crane for not containing "the spark." 2. To Kill A Mockingbird is a very different story/book/movie/genre. 3. I love you making a beat to The Hanging Tree song.😂 The song has a lot more significance than it seems. Katniss learned it from her daddy. Mostly in the books you learn that the song itself was banned, so just singing it is an act of rebellion. We also find out it hits president Snow personally as he knew the writer of the song. 4. I hope you heard Finnick's speech during the edit. He talks about how President Snow liked to poison people. He's got bloody sores in his mouth from sometimes drinking from the same cups to throw off suspicion. Finnick knows this because Snow used to pimp him out. He had money from the games, so people would pay him with secrets. 5. You said 1 more to go, but you have to watch the prequel to learn more about President Snow and the games.
I really love Mahershala Ali too. I also love the character of Boggs and was sad they cut a lot of his interactions with Katniss. Basically he is the only person in District 13 that she trusts and he looks after her a lot. (He is the one who knocks out Peeta, etc.) In the books there are some light comparisons between Boggs and Katniss' dad who died in the mines when Katniss was 11. (Boggs is supposed to have a small child but that was cut.) But I think it's great casting because if I was in a weird bunker with lots of sus people, Mahershala would be the one dude I trusted too.
Soooo addin some context: 1) Seneca wasn't kill by Peeta and Katniss, or by the rebels. President Snow killed him for letting Peeta and Katniss win the games. At the end of the first movie we see him entering a room and there was a bowl with the poison berries. He was forced to comite su1cide. 2) In Panem there were 13 districts and one capitol, the 13th was bombed during the first time the districts rebelled against the Capitol. After that the Hunger Games were created. 3) About they all have their own agenda, you're right! The whole thing is that Katniss never wanted to be a rebel or the face of the revolution, the only thing she actually wanted was to keep Prim safe. She wasn't in for all the political stuff. While Gale is a rebel to the core, she just wants to survive. This entire system is based upon propaganda so both the Capitol and the District 13 used it to control their narratives on what was happening. 4) They were not executing the mentors but the rebels in the districts. 5) Katniss' not into Gale. Actually she just does whatever she thinks will make him feel better. In fact she became with this behaviour of kissing him after he kissed her for the first time. In the books she never felted something like butterflies on kissing him. He was just her best friend and suddenly things got pretty messed up and confusing for her. 6) There is no traitor between them. Snow knew they were coming to rescue Peeta at any time because he's important to Katniss. He was expecting that and that's why he turned Peeta into a weapon to kill Katniss. After all this love your reaction and how you're invested on the franchise. Shotout from Brasil!
Oh man you missed it Finnick during his speech during the rescue he was talking about how snow would trafficked him And some others after they won their games But remember he won his games at 14 but he wasn’t trafficked until he was 16

It was also to show them that yea the people in the districts are never safe but neither is anybody in the capital
I IMMEDIATELY was saying, "NOOO, we have to tell him!" Lol, they absolutely did not have that kind of power to kill anyone in the capital, lol.

After MockingJay Part 2, you HAVE to watch:
“The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.”
It’s a prequel to the OG series!

I loved how they made the book into two parts, especially it allowed the ensemble cast to give amazing performances across the board
Katniss kisses Gale because she pity's him she was never in love with him

Love your reactions!!! 😂
I love the way you greet the characters when they first appear lol
I know you said "one more" but I *really* hope you'll watch the prequel film after you finish Mockingjay pt2. It's a great addition to the universe :)

🎉👵🏻👍🏻🎉
You’re mixing two movie titles together;
To Kill A Mockingbird (1962)
And Hunger Games, Mockingjay Part 1 / Part 2
