Imelda Staunton did a fantastic job playing a character who was more hated than the story's main villain. The fact that Umbridge was more hated than Voldemort himself makes the scene where she gets carried away like firewood by the centaurs that much more satisfying.
When I first saw Grawp, I thought he looked like the illustrated kid on the cover of MAD Magazine, Alfred E. Neuman.
    Also....
Cornelius Fudge, after seeing Voldemort: He's back....
Me, sarcastically: *Gee, if only someone said that the previous year and at the hearing. Oh, wait....*

Glad that you realised Harry had PTSD. It's very obvious in this movie but sadly very few people seen to know about PTSD

They don't feel the place expanding because it technically doesn't 'move'; the place is hidden from sight of anyone without the Secret. It's called a Fidelius Charm. It puts the secret knowledge of something inside someone - that person is called the Secret Keeper. Those the Secret Keeper tells, are basically brought into the secret and can see whatever the secret was hiding (if that makes sense). It's how the Potters went into hiding when they knew they were marked for death. Peter Pettigrew was the Potter's Secret Keeper. Sirius was going to be their Secret Keeper however, Peter convinced them to change it to *him* because, he explained, You-Know-Who would not expect *Peter* to be the Secret Keeper - most would think that Sirius would have been as you have to trust your Secret Keeper to protect the secret, and they figured that Voldemort would try to find the Secret Keeper to torture or force the secret out of them to get to the Potters.
When Sirius had realized that Peter had turned traitor Sirius went to confront Peter - Peter blew up the street, killing several muggles in the process, cut his own finger off and transformed into a rat to escape in order to frame Sirius for his death and implying that Sirius was the one who had turned traitor to the Potters, leading Voldemort to their house, because *of course* Sirius would have been the Potter's Secret Keeper in most people's eyes.
Also, the Room of Requirement, does not show up on the Marauder's Map - it's stated in the book, and I think in the extended edition it's mentioned (I think? don't quote me). It is also not fully explained in the movie but in the book it's said that you can be VERY specific with the RoR, by stating in your mind, say "I want a place that cannot be found by ___" or "I don't want to be found by anyone with ill intent" etc etc or whatever, which is why when Filch was camped out in front of the 'entrance', the room would actually create a door in another location, and when the mistletoe grows over Harry and Cho's heads for their first kiss...the RoR was the perfect wingman lol!
Things to keep in mind for future movies - What I just said about the Fidelius Charm - and the way the Room of Requirement looks, like the sweeping architecture inside with the arches that stop halfway down - Cho is definitely here to stay!
Snape was telling Harry that because of the mental connection they share - Voldemort could, if he was made aware of it, could use it to influence Harry, read his mind, control him, torture him into madness. You were right on the nose when you said that it was as if Harry was seeing things from Voldemort's point of view - in the book it explains that Harry's dream of being a snake was because Voldemort himself was mentally controlling Nagini at that time and so Harry's mind was with Voldemort as Voldemort was seeing out of the eyes of his snake.
Voldemort didn't really have Sirius - Voldemort had realized that he could infiltrate Harry's mind and so he sent that vision to him of Sirius being tortured but Sirius was safely at home in Grimmauld Place - it was a lure to get Potter to the Ministry to retrieve the Prophesy as Voldemort only knew a portion of what the Prophesy said, he wanted it to hear the rest of it in hopes that it would give him the weapon he needed to kill Potter. When Harry tells Snape that "He's got Padfoot, at the place where it's hidden', Snape knows that Padfoot is Sirius Black's school nickname, so he checked in with him at Grimmauld Place to make sure that Voldemort had him or not. Discovering him safely there, he warned the Order that Potter was likely about to fall into a trap and that is how Sirius knew to be there and punch Lucius in the face along with the rest of the Order coming to save the kids.
I love your hatred of Umbridge lol - I think they did a phenomenal job with her casting and the actress portraying her was absolutely on point! I have read the books millions of times even before I saw the movies and she is exactly how I picture her - that scene where she's telling Dumbledore "For Now" when she tried booting Sybil out, her little cheshire smile reminds me so vividly of a toad which is what they describe her as in the book!
They can't see them, but they can still feel them. Being 'invisible' doesn't make them less solid. Even more impressive for Hermione who absolutely hates flying!
So so hyped to see you continue the series, the next three are imo my top 3 - Half-Blood Prince is probably my favorite out of all of the books!

One thing in the books that was great is Hermione got Rita Skeeter (the annoying reporter from the goblet of fire) to write an article about Harry’s side of the story where he listed all of the death eaters that were in the graveyard including Lucious Malfoy & since Hermione found out in the 4th one that Rita was an illegal unregistered animagus (she would transform into a beetle & worm her way into private conversations people would not realize she was eavesdropping on which is how she got her tea to write about & ruin people’s lives with) Hermione blackmailed her & said she would turn her in which would get her time in Azkaban if the ministry found out she was unregistered if she didn’t write the article about Harry’s side of the story & she got Luna’s dad who owns the Quibbler to publish the story & the copies sold like crazy because the prophet was only putting one story out that was smearing Harry & Dumbledore.
Umbridge banned the Quibbler magazine but the students found a way to bewitch the covers of the magazines they were reading so they wouldn’t get caught lmao but this just goes to show how cancel culture truly cultivates a totalitarian society where as soon as you give power to the government to ban whatever they want it ruins everything. Freedom of speech is crucial to having a free society otherwise we will be told what the govt wants us to hear & we can’t get any sources elsewhere & pretty soon it escalates to where we are all living under a dictatorship. This movie has so many political parallels to today’s world & I love this one because it emphasizes the importance of thinking for yourself & that no matter the traumas you experience in life like Harry if you lean on the people around you instead of isolate you can overcome it.

    Things in The Order of the Phoenix novel that are not in the movie;
Mrs. Fig is a Squib (a person born from a wizarding family but unable to do magic) who was Harry's neighbor for many years. She was even mentioned often throughout the book series. But Harry never knew that Mrs. Fig is actually part of the wizarding community.
Harry actually found out about Hagrid being a half giant by mistake during Goblet of Fire. Hagrid's biological mother, Fridwulfa is a giant. Hagrid's father was a wizard. Grawp is Hagrid's brother by way of their giant mother.
Ron's brother, Percy had a falling out with the Weasley family. He never believed Harry's story about Voldemort's return and was on the side of the Minister of Magic.
Neville's parents are very much alive and are permanent patients at Saint Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies. Because of all the torture that Bellatrix, her husband and Barty Crouch Junior inflicted on them they are mentally damaged. While visiting Mr. Weasley in the hospital Harry, Ron and Hermione come across Neville and his grandmother and was able to meet Neville's parents.
The Weasley twins weren't expelled. They quit school. When Harry won the Tri Wizard Tournament in Goblet of Fire he gave his winnings to the twins. Harry originally tried to give it to Cedric's father but he refused to take it. As a result of Harry giving it to the twins Fred and George started using the money to start a side business and made Harry as a secret investor and silent partner. That is why the twins kept inventing all sorts of magical practical joke sweets throughout Order of the Phoenix.
When the Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Ginny and Luna flew the Thestrals the majority of them couldn't see what it was they were flying. Earlier in the school year they did learn about Thestrals in Magical Beasts class when Hagrid introduced them to the students. Those who had witnessed death had no trouble seeing them. But the rest couldn't and all they saw was raw meat being devoured by some invisible entities. When the group flew the Thestrals it was as if they were flying on thin air. They can feel the animals but couldn't see them.
    In the end of the book when Harry talks to Dumbledore in his office, Dumbledore reveals that the prophecy actually came from Professor Trelawney and it was he who witnessed Professor Trelawney make prophecy while she was in a trance. The prophecy was;
"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies..."
Dumbledore said that two babies were born at the end of July. Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom. Though the prophecy fit Neville just the same as Harry because Neville's parents also defied Voldemort three times, it was Harry that Voldemort chose to kill instead of Neville. It is believed that Voldemort chose Harry because Harry's mother was a muggleborn. Neville's parents are purebloods.
During the last evening at Hogwarts Harry desperately runs to the ghost of Nearly Headless Nick and tries to talk to him about Sirius possibly coming back as a ghost. But Nick tells Harry that the only reason why Nick is a ghost residing at Hogwarts is because he refused to move on to the beyond. He refused to let go and wanted to remain. Nick explained to Harry that Sirius moved on.

It was interesting that Voldemort chose to kill Harry, since they are both halfbloods.

I believe that's part of what makes the books/movies popular. In the midst of fantastic magic and the grand plots there are very relatable children and adults. Even more relatable in the books, where there are more place for nuances, and complexity.
    Their relations are so relatable.
I remember Rowling telling about a young reader saying he could relate to Harry. He said something like "Harry often doesn't have a clue, and neither have I."

Harry is 15 in this one. A *lot* more happened in the book than the movie shows. For instance Umbridge was the one who sent the dementors after Harry. Expelled or soul sucked out she didn't care as long as he and Dumbledore stopped causing problems for Fudge.
Finally! Someone besides me realizes that Harry is acting out because of PTSD. Plus he has Umbridge torturing him and Voldemort's thoughts in his head.
The quill Umbridge is having Harry and later the others use is using his blood for ink and carving the words into his hand. Harry carried that scar for the rest of his life I think.
Umbridge is pretty much the most hated character in Harry Potter. Most people hate her more than Bellatrix or Voldemort. Imelda Staunton did an amazing job making people hate her. Everytime she did that little giggle I wanted to reach through the screen and choke Umbridge.
James Potter and Snape took every opportunity to jinx each other. James was an arrogant jerk as a kid but Snape was no innocent victim.
Harry, Luna and Neville (saw his uncle die) could see the thestrals. The helped Hermione, Ron and Ginny get on. Imagine how it felt flying through the air on something you can feel but can't see. 😂
    Death Eaters not Dark Eaters.
The archway is the veil to the other side.

Dumbledore already suspected Voldemort could read Harry’s mind & that’s part of the reason he kept Harry in the dark about what was going on. If Harry knew of the Order of the Phoenix & their plans to fight Voldemort then he would have been an unwitting spy for Voldemort, who could have read his mind to find out what they were doing. By distancing himself from Harry, Dumbledore was trying not only to protect Harry but also the Order & their plans.

59:25 Fun Fact: Daniel Radcliffe's (Harry's actor) Grandma passed away the morning the same day before shooting this scene. The muted scream was a genuine reaction to hearing the news. Dan was in soo much pain from losing his grandma, and he was soo emotional during that scene. He started crying for real, and he had to take a break before continuing to shoot. And it was also so painful for everyone to hear that scream. Everyone started to cry, but the actors who played Hermione and Bellatrix were crying the most. In the end, they decide to keep the scene but mute the audio due to how gut wretching the scream was

You were able to accurately touch on EXACTLY why the Stephen King declared Umbridge to be one of the best villains in literature - it's because people like her DO exist in real life. Voldy? Not as much, unless you count someone like Hitler, but in actuality it's vindictive, evil people like Umbridge that are the real monsters and all of us know at least one figure like that in our lives. You're awesomely intuitive, I love your reactions!

Ps. Their real age may be 16 yo, but in the book/movie they're 15. One book per year, same with the movies, but for the last year, who became two movies.
    16 in book/movie six and
    17 (wizarding world adult) in book 7, movie 7 & 8.

The shape changing woman: Nyphadora Tonks, is Draco's cousin and their auntie is Bellatrix! You'll meet Draco's mother in the next film but Tonks' mother is not in any of the films. Pity as she looks like Bellatrix but is like Sirius and gives Harry the shock of his life when he sees her. PS they are death-eaters not dark-eaters.
