Fun film fact. Deadpool's jab at cable "give me your best shot one eyed Willie" is a nod to Josh Brollin (the actor who played cable) who also played the older brother "Brad" in the Goonies. Brollin also played Thanos in the avengers, and Jonah Hexx. Surprised there wasn't more references to him in the movie.

The characters Cable was avenging were Hope Summers, his wife and their adopted daughter also named Hope Summers. For those of you who only know the Marvel movies; Cable's real name is Nathan Summers, he's the son of Scott Summers (Cyclops) and a clone of Jean Grey named Madelyn Pryor, you might have met them both in the X-Men '97 animated series. As for Cable's crispy family, in the 616 timeline Cable went back to the past after House Of M/No More Mutants storyline, rescued a mutant baby from the mad geneticist Mister Sinister and returned to the future to raise her as his own daughter where he married a woman named Hope. In the comics it was the other time traveling mutant Bishop who killed his wife but the baby survived in the comic version and Cable named her Hope after his wife. Baby Hope grew up, travelled back in time, joined the X-Men and became White Phoenix the Mutant Messiah. Fun Fact: There are currently 4 generations of the Summers' family tree on various comic book teams, Christopher Summers, leader of the space pirates The Starjammers, Scott (Cyclops), Alex (Havok), Nathan (Cable), Hope (Phoenix), and one Summers villain, Gabriel (Vulcan). Imagine what their Thanksgivings are like.
Fun fact in the books, cable is the son of Scott summers and Madeline Pryor who is the clone of Jean grey. He was sent to the future because he was infected by a technovirus, which is why he has the metal arm. His name is Nathaniel dayspring askani'son summers.
Last comment from me: There is actually a "Once Upon A Deadpool 2" version which is PG-13, and to make it work, Deadpool reads it as a children's story to actor Fred Savage, whom he has knocked unconscious and dragged back to the boy's bedroom set from "The Princess Bride" even though Fred Savage is pushing 50. Other "DP2" goodies include the teaser trailer where a guy is getting mugged and Deadpool runs into a phonebooth to arduously change into his costume to the Superman theme while the man is dying. I mention it only because you get to see his naked butt pressed against the glass, so I imagine that will get you running to UA-cam. And there's a deleted scene where he actually does use the time travel device to travel back to Hitler's nursery and is trying to psych himself up to do it.
You need to watch so many movies to GET all the references in the Deadpool movies. For me it's all his smart ass comments and sense of humor. The self commentary throughout the movie has become a Ryan Reynolds trademark. Remember Wade started out as former Canadian special forces in the first movie. Military personnel tend to have a different type of humor and the further you go towards more elite units that sense of humor gets, shall we say more developed. Love your reactions. You're the first movie reactor I ever watched because I wanted to see what the younger crowd thought of the movies I grew up with. You've never disappointed.
Rufio was played by Dante Basco, who also voiced Zuko in Avatar: The Last Airbender. This was Lewis Tan, who played Cole Young in the Mortal Kombat remake. EDIT: Domino's power is kind of messed up. It's not so much that she's 'lucky', but that she drains the luck from everyone around her. Tends to end badly for her allies.
Hello Ashleigh, I just wanted to let you know that I'm truly grateful for you and your content. I was having a very rough day. Now after watching your video, I'm laughing so hard. I can't explain why but for some reason, watching your reactions, always brightens my day. Thank you so very much and please keep up the excellent work.
"Docking", don't google it... how do I know what "docking" is... Oh right, from a "futa" comic... PS, don't google "futa". "The less you know" PSA: If you know... you can never unknow.
Yes, Prof X is Jugganauts brother. And yes, they're singing "oh holy shit balls" Also, this was the first film version of Domino, but she is in the X-Men comics and a lot of Deadpool comics. Cable is also the son of a famous X-Men.... Cyclops. A lot of the early Deadpool comics were joint comics with Cable.
@@jeanief.6036 Yeah, that's right, when she first appeared she was undercover Domino and started a relationship with Wade. Movie Vanessa is just an ordinary non-powered person, I was expecting her to have a hidden agenda like comic Vanessa.
Green Lantern is a DC comic book character. Ryan Reynolds played Green Lantern in that movie before Deadpool was even planned on being made. It did terribly, everyone hated it, which is why he went back in time and killed himself before he could make the film.

In response to some of the observations: 1. Not-John-Cena was Samwise Gamgee's older brother Thanos. 2. Shatterstar was not played by Dante RufioZuko Basko, but we did get the song made from his catchphrase.
There's a movie called "Say Anything" starring Joan Cusack's untalented brother John Cusack. In it, he has sex with a woman while Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" is playing on the radio, and when he's trying to win her back he holds up a boombox over his head blaring that song. It's the only thing that movie is known for, but it's rather iconic. But that's what Deadpool is referencing when he holds up his phone with a boombox image on it. Like Yentl, it's probably not worth watching Say Anything except to get the references.
Fyi - The boombox scene where DP is in front of the mansion is a reference to the movie "Say Anything" starring John Cusack. There is also a scene, just before Colossus fights Juggernaut, where Deadpool says...it's time "sweep the leg Johnny"...that's reference to the movie "The Karate Kid." ..both 80's movies.

Ashleigh I met Danielle Parton a couple years ago. She has a moonshine place in Sevierville TN. She is there at her moonshine place all the time. She is such a kind person. Danielle looks so much like Dolly
Domino -- Zazi Beetz -- was born for this role. In the comics Domino has paper white skin, and a black diamond mark around her left eye. Ok, so Zazi doesn't have paper white skin, but she has a skin condition called vitiligo, where the melanin is absent in patches. In her case, it is a diamond shaped patch around her left eye. In most movies it is covered up by makeup. In this movie she went au naturel.

"is that Barbara Streisand?"
Okay, add Yentel to the must watch list
OK, you have to kiss the egg
I honestly love how extremely meta the Deadpool movies are, especially with the credits scene in this one!
Fun fact in the books, cable is the son of Scott summers and Madeline Pryor who is the clone of Jean grey. He was sent to the future because he was infected by a technovirus, which is why he has the metal arm. His name is Nathaniel dayspring askani'son summers.
Matt Damon sitting drinking on the back of the truck when Cable arrives still blows my mind
Don’t forget the epic Alan Tudyk!
Why?
@@Eidlones As Ashleigh says ”what the hell do I know?”
Enya: "Who can say where the road goes..," as the road below them falls apart.
25:13 No, that is not Rufio.
Now I can never unknow..cuz I googled it lol
When I saw the notification I just KNEW Ashleigh was gonna love the 9 to 5 number. 😂
Yes, Prof X is Jugganauts brother.
And yes, they're singing "oh holy shit balls"
Also, this was the first film version of Domino, but she is in the X-Men comics and a lot of Deadpool comics.
Cable is also the son of a famous X-Men.... Cyclops. A lot of the early Deadpool comics were joint comics with Cable.
I am so excited we are finally getting to these films. I can't wait for you to see Deadpool & Wolverine!
Opening w Deadpool + Dolly = prefect for Ashleigh
In the comics Vanessa is Domino. MCU, different characters completely.
Vanessa is a mutant named Copycat, shape shifting powers with a name like that, who impersonated Domino for a while.
@@jeanief.6036 Yeah, that's right, when she first appeared she was undercover Domino and started a relationship with Wade. Movie Vanessa is just an ordinary non-powered person, I was expecting her to have a hidden agenda like comic Vanessa.
That inside thought that got out made me lmao xD
33:56 The Hawaiian shirt that Deadpool is wearing is the same shirt that Chuck wore in The Goonies.
"Very short, 5'11", not like in the comics."
Cable's 8'0" in the comics.
Green Lantern is a DC comic book character. Ryan Reynolds played Green Lantern in that movie before Deadpool was even planned on being made. It did terribly, everyone hated it, which is why he went back in time and killed himself before he could make the film.
Might be my favorite reaction of yours ever. Made you laugh, almost cry and almost vomit. And wish you could go back in time before you looked up “docking”. Priceless!
I have been waiting for MONTHS for you to watch this movie, just for the 9 To 5 reference alone. You did not disappoint!
Oh lord, if you were doing secret words for Marvel movies the secret word for this one would need to be: Minionapolis! 😆
1:46 If you think that's "too soon" wellll...
16:43 Matt Daaamonnn !
19:35 That's Thanos...or Josh Brolin, one of those.
28:11 Yes, That IS Brad Pitt.
32:35 Juggernaut also voiced by Ryan Reynolds
Ashleigh I met Danielle Parton a couple years ago. She has a moonshine place in Sevierville TN. She is there at her moonshine place all the time. She is such a kind person. Danielle looks so much like Dolly
I guess Ashleigh forgot about the shitty version of Deadpool from Wolverine Origins. She's better off. I wish I could forget about it.
I don't think she watched it when she was doing X-Men movies
You can't forget anything from a movie you haven't watched. She was told not to watch it, which is why she didn't recognize him.
Zazi does not have vitiligo. The character Domino does. It is makeup.
16:26 He also has a healing factor that pretty much makes him unkillable.
Yeah but it works weirdly... it regenerates the cancerous cells so he doesn't necessarily "heal"
