Hey y'all! I've had a lot of thoughts since leaving medical school in general, but even more so since the passing of Dr. Jing Mai and other physicians this year. This video style is a little bit different from my previous videos since it is entirely voice-over. But the message here is so important, you'll want to listen all the way to the end.
How are you learning to take the scenic route in life?
I loved this so much. Remember FOM 5? That was my U-turn point. Externships have only solidified that I don't want to be in a place where I have to choose between catching my breath or being healthy. You have always brought me so much inspiration and awe, and I cannot wait to refer patients to you, just so that I can work with you too ;P

This is beautiful. I’m premed and I’m not exactly going through what you are going through. But I feel like I was trying to rush my process to get into medical school because I was “running” out of time and everyone around me was expecting me to get there but now I have chosen me and what I want. And I want to pace myself and not rush, and live life every moment to it’s fullest. I have a plan and I want to take the scenic route too! Love you and your channel. A scripture that has helped me that you may be familiar with psalm 103:3 MSG he heals your diseases - every one. It is finished 💗
Amen, amen, amen!! Yes, I totally understand the feeling of "running out" of time! I still fight those feelings every day! But it is so important to remember that life is not a race and God has destined us for great things not confined to the timelines of this world! Thank you for your scripture of encouragement! 🙏🏾❤️

And PAs most definitely practice a lot of medicine! Some of the best care I've received has come from PAs and NPs! Go after your truest dreams fully!
