    Thanks for the video mate. I knew the game had structural integrity, I just didnt know how to apply it properly. You're video solved that issue for me. Subbed your channel straight after watching the vid. Cheers!

    Your tip on putting your back against a block is great! I usually get frustrated when the camera bumps against things behind me, but this approach will fix many 'view' issues.

    One may wonder why there ain't a 1st. person view in this game? As you show while placing temporary walls it's absolutely possible with such a view. Also it's sometime hard to place plots so a bird-eye view would be very welcome, just like in Starfield.

    Cross beams do nothing. Only horizontal and vertical add support

      @Nope60_09 yeah ignore angled beams. Stone pillars and 1/3 stone foundation walls are great for support. Horizontal beams for bracing. My buildings over 9 high 😅 and could easily go higher

    most of it doesn't make sense and coming from a guy who used to build houses. you used way to much wood for supports, a simple T with 45 degree at the corners should be a enough for a buidling now if you are going for something large you need a center collum to support it all. but made me feel like the devs didn't read into it really and just guess how it is done.

    The quantity of beams required to go up a few levels is absolutely ridiculous and really unrealistic, even in a medieval setting.

    • @tonybrutal
      @tonybrutal  Місяць тому

      If you level your carpentry and get better beams and stuff, then it's not so bad. The low level stuff just isn't that strong.

    Question: why is it that when I go to build structure that I don’t see any stone walls or pillars in my construction screen options . I’ve been playing for over a month now and I still don’t have anything but the plaster walls or the wood or the wood looking material I don’t have any stone. You didn’t show how you went about getting stone walls or pillars. Is that something that has to unlock?

    • @twooldguyz

      At this point, it seems all "stone" structure are referred to as "foundation". There are better wall and such, which require clay -- sort of like plaster and beam structures.

      @XelaML when you go higher walls are everything. Walls or, especially, stone foundations walls reinforce pillars. You can test it by going as high as possible with pillars or vert beams. Then shove walls in and watch the pillars/beams change color.
      Frames are important but each part has its role.
      As i said. Im 9 high with green pillars/beams because of walls. No framing. Bar floor supports.
