Holy cow, you’re making some killer progress! I love the way the chassis is turning out. Your friend is so correct, you have to have a good hood if you want to see what you’re welding. Keep poking away at it, you’re doing a great job!
I must admit I got a lot of inspiration from you. It's fun to build something different that everyone else even thought it's basically the same if that makes sense. I like having things I'm going to use not just build it to show.
@@TheEZGZ it’s so funny that a platform like UA-cam brings people together, inspires one another and makes it feel like we’ve been friends for years. You’ve inspired me multiple times, to know that I helped inspire you means the world. Keep doing what you love, we enjoy going along for the ride.
Keep plugging away at it EZ, it is turning out really nice - and the best part is that it is 100% yours. You will enjoy the heck out of it once it's done!

I am humbled by your comment Rev Jim. I try to read from my devotional every morning. I think the key to growing old is finding something that you like to do and keep busy. Nothing we do as individuals is going to impact the world. But how we think as a whole will keep things going in the right direction. Television and politics just fills your head with garbage. Peace to you Rev
Seeing your weld puddle is key for sure . I’m your age, more or less.(65) I was having the same difficulties welding as You , pretty much the same welder too, just the older version. I was cursing that welder up one side and down the other, until I figured out it was my poor vision. Actually had to get the cataract thing done on both eyes. Wow, what difference. And I got that best Vulcan arc safe helmet at HF, and that helped even more. 100% happy with it. I had a good miller big screen, but after getting the Vulcan, the Miller just collects dust. Keep at it old man , looking good.
G'day Mr EZGZ, WOW, I tip my hat to you sir. Out of a pile of iron you have a roller. So cool. So thanks for sharing man I really appreciate the update. ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
Great to see your new build.its crunch time for a lot of us big buggy reunion coming up next month in glamis. Ca .buggys. Still alive for us old guys stay well my friend😅
Sounds great! Give me more details. I'm out of the loop. Is there a website that gives dates? Find me a deal on a Weekend Warrior toy hauler. About 27 ft with front queen bed.....

@@brianw8963 I agree with the cheater lens , I done a video on the cheater lens a few years back . I could not buy the top of the line welding helmet so a bought a Yeswelder true color , and it also helped .
It’s great to see you staying active. Just keep at it and it’ll get there. I’m not a great welder, but being able to see what your welding is a big part of it. Lol. My sight isn’t what it used to be for sure.
I wonder about those gas options too. The guys I buy from (General Air) sold me the welder and told me what to use. I just figure they gave me the good stuff. It sure isn't cheap and it doesn't last long. If I switched to Tig welding they say I need straight Argon ?????

Well greg, like my dad use to say. Thank god for grinders. 😂
I call them erasers!
You got that right!

This brings back a lot of memories when I built a couple of buggies years ago. Keep up the great job GZ and enjoy the build
Thanks Rusty. I bet you made some fine machines. You always to good work
Turn down the wire speed a touch. You are doing great EZGZ!
Thanks, I'll give it a try,.
I agree it is all about seeing . Sometimes i aim a spotlight at what i am welding , it seems to help me. I think not seeing is most peoples issue.
sucks getting old...hehehe
Yep, lights help, and also cheater lens that attaches inside helmet.

Well done, starting to take shape 👍
Thanks 👍
EZGZ, I, am the KING, of user error!
It's looking really good! You've made quite some progress on a very ambitious project. 🙂
Thanks, I appreciate the support :-)
Nice job. The dune buggy is looking nice.👍
Thanks 👍
Keep going 👍🏻
I will try my best
looks good i like rails
I'm just using up spare parts.
You're doing amazing! Great progress and keep up the good work :)
Thank you so much!! I'm keeping it real and showing the struggle. Got my seat brackets in today
You might want to try 75/ 25 mixed gas. Can’t wait to see how this buggy turns out.

Yeah straight argon is best for tig welding. I would try the 75/25 mix gas and see what difference it does for you
When I changed my welding style to pushing instead of dragging l was able to get better welds.
Thanks Gary. Yeah sometimes you don't have choice but I'll give your push another try.. I appreciate the advice sir!
No, gas. If it slags, you must drag. Can be, hard to get away from.
Progress
Frame is looking good. What is that plate called that you have bolted to the engine/trans bolts?
It was from a old Prowler mid engine hang plate. There out of business
nice weider
Nice, welder. Translated to English, "according to google" means, Nice Continue.😄
