Wow that was a HUGE pot of chili and it looks amazing! Great Job Leeann 👏 Bravo!! I know it had to be good...now is that the secret recipe for the "W" fast food chili 😋?
I made the best chili I’ve ever tasted last week. Too bad I never measure ingredients. Well I eyeball it so I sort of measure. Chili goes with cornbread and the leftovers go with tortillas chips around here.
Now I want chili! I prefer saltines with my chili or a good crusty bread with butter. Yum! It's pretty cool this weekend, maybe I'll throw some cookies together for Sunday supper🤔
Your chili looks delicious. Yes you know a lot about making chilli. I really could use some right now. It such a great comfort food for me. Thanks for sharing how you make it.💚
I like my chili with soda crackers, cornbread or crusty bread (in other words, I'm not too picky).😊 I've heard about having cinnamon rolls with it, but have never tried it. Not sure how I would like it, but I'm going to try it sometime. I enjoyed watching you make your yummy chili. I appreciate you have a printable recipe card. Thank you for sharing.
The last couple of times I made Chili I added refried beans and I will always do that now. I also give the beans a quick blend using my emulsion blender to give it a thicker consistency. We also serve it over rice 😊.
I just learned the paper towel tip the other day! I am loving the collab with all these different ingredients for chili. Thanks Ginger and Tony for hosting.
Your chili looks delicious, LeAnne! I use those Hanover kidney beans too. Don't know if you've tried this or not, but adding some chili over your breakfast egg is a delicious treat.
Hi LeAnn! I love chili and yours looked amazing. I’m making a pot for my brother since he requested chili. He’s having another eye surgery this Thursday. So I make some freezer meals for him so he doesn’t have to cook. Your right, it tastes better the next day. I’ve sent you the payment for the tomato seeds. It’s been so crazy trying to take my brother to doctors and surgeons, plus the grocery store and pharmacy or anything he needs. I don’t mind helping him at all, I love my brother. Hope you have a blessed evening!
I use all those same spices in my chili. Yes, I always rinse my canned beans. I think it help reduce the gas factor. I top with cubed cheese. When I get my own bowl of chili I might put the cubed chili in the bottom of the bowl, then stir it in. have heard of people putting cinnamon in their chili, so maybe cinnamon rolls wouldn’t be too far off. 🤷♀️
I don't remember if I commented earlier. This looks so good and I love Wendy's chili. It is my go to if I don't bring lunch to work. I like it with one of their baked potatoes
That looks scrumptious! You added several herbs i’ve never used in chili. My husband LOVES Wendy’s chili so i think i’ll try your version next time! We usually eat ours with tortilla chips or Fritos corn chips.
LeAnne we always have cinnamon roll with chili..maybe it a midwest thing..your chili look so delicious and taste..I'm going to have to try to measure my spice..I always just season has I go..thanks😊💕 oh also eat with cheese, sour cream, green onion to top it all off...
LeAnne, your ingredients sound great! I have not used coriander in chili. I have made a list of ingredients for the grocery store as I my pantry doesn't look like yours. 😄 You are my hero, you worked at Wendy's for 11 years!!!! Thank you!
I love that you used so many pantry items! That's whaat I want to aspire to :) I use to make a good chili, but I think the brand of chili powder I have now is just not right; it has a burnt flavor to me. Sad because it was a jumbo sized jar I bought of it. :( Look forward to more recipes!
My family aren’t big chili lovers like I am. They eat it when I do make it but for those in between times I head to Wendy’s. I like that you used pantry ingredients. Could even use canned ground meat for this.
Looks delish! I’m a cornbread gal, but Fritos are a good second choice. I always add some chopped onion to the top of beans or chili. Thanks for sharing.
The best chili I have ever made was using leftover smoked brisket. So good. My husband makes a giant vat every year that he needs a paddle to stir. Before he added the beans, he took out half and I canned 9 quarts. After the beans filled it back up, the rest went into the freezer. Half goes to our daughter for Christmas and the rest is for us. His chili is fantastic and I rarely make any myself but I needed to get rid of the leftover brisket.
I'm from Nebraska where we have cinnamon rolls with our chili. On the side not in the bowl. Heard that's what someone did. You can dip it in the chili too. I also know some that put just a sprinkle of cinnamon in their chili.
What great idea using a paper towel to stop sop up greese when the pan is so heavy! We love chili! Everyone raves and it takes minutes to put together!
LeAnne your chili looks really good but I am spoiled to my Hubby's chili. To me he makes the best even better than mine. I tried to contact you for the tomato seeds you were sharing but I can't find your email address anywhere. Make it a great day.
G'day LeAnne. This looks great and I really like the "pantry" take on the theme. Definitely one of those videos where you just wish you could reach into the screen and have some. Take care. Daz.
If this video was supposed to make me want chili, you've succeeded! I like mine topped with grated cheddar cheese and sour cream just like you, but cornbread on the side or saltines. Ritz crackers rarely are on my shopping list because I cannot stay out of them! They are my idea of wonderful! 😁Great job using pantry staples and 3 different kinds of beans. I've never made chili with canned beans before, but I'm gonna give it a try. I think the spice combination you used was spot on! Was your oregano the regular kind or was it Mexican oregano? I think I see a pot of chili in my near future! 😋 Thanks LeAnne!
Wow that was a HUGE pot of chili and it looks amazing! Great Job Leeann 👏 Bravo!! I know it had to be good...now is that the secret recipe for the "W" fast food chili 😋?
I'm not telling!
I made the best chili I’ve ever tasted last week. Too bad I never measure ingredients. Well I eyeball it so I sort of measure. Chili goes with cornbread and the leftovers go with tortillas chips around here.

Great recipe. I love Fritos corn chips with mine. Or sweet cornbread 😊

Nice trick with the paper towel absorbing the grease.

The last couple of times I made Chili I added refried beans and I will always do that now. I also give the beans a quick blend using my emulsion blender to give it a thicker consistency. We also serve it over rice 😊.
I like corn bread crumbled in the bowl then chili on top...yum

Great job LeeAnn on this chili I loved how you used dehydrated onions and chili 🌶️ peppers.
I don't remember if I commented earlier. This looks so good and I love Wendy's chili. It is my go to if I don't bring lunch to work. I like it with one of their baked potatoes
Sounds perfect especially this weekend with the temp so fridged here in VA. I usually make for the side with our chili

OK, chilismackdown makes more sense. I was reading the title and wondering how there could be a month of just chilimac.
I love how you used all items from your pantry for this recipe! Thank you for sharing.
Will be trying your recipe for chili next time I make it. I really like the spice combo.
Thanks for sharing!

Leann you inspired me once again. Thank you. I like chili topped with shredded cheese and some Louisiana hot sauce for kick.

Hello! Kneady sent me, and I am super glad she did! I'll be making the applesauce bread this afternoon, and it looks like chili for dinner.
Welcome! I am so glad you are here! I hope you loved the applesauce bread??
That's a hardy chili..
🙌🙌
I always make a huge pot of chili. It's always better the second day.💕
It really is!
Soaking the grease with a paper towel is a brilliant idea. I will definitely try that the next time I cook ground beef!!
Wonderful!
Chili here has no beans until the very last little bit and I add a can of Ranch beans to make stacked enchiladas.
I love beans in chili it gives bulk to it
I just saw that Wendy's may be selling cans of their chili!
I heard that yesterday...
I make chili with ground Turkey to cut down on the grease- I like it over Fritos 😊
Great idea!!
Chili and soups always taste better the next day! Thank you!
You got that right!
