    Flo is currently in the local dealership for some TLC and I was kindly loaned the KTM Duke 390 in the interim. Great step up from the previous model and very sleek for a 390cc! It's A2 compliant right out the dealership.

    Upsidedowm forks
    Dual channel abs with 3 modes
    Slipper clutch
    Ride by wire
    Metzelers stock tyres
    Led Lights everywhere!
    And the best part is the TFT display😍
    Looks are subjective but this one is the best looking naked bike for me!
    And the power is more than enough for city riding✨

    Dunno if anyone has said it yet but the ByBre brakes are "By Brembo" so they're still very good quality, just not as expensive or fancy as propert Brembos but for a cheaper bike, they still perform well. You can easily get the rear wheel off the ground if you pull the lever hard enough. Also the exhaust can be easily modified by core drilling out the silencer. It has a pretty nice sound without the silencer.

  • @FPSKelly
    @FPSKelly 2 роки тому

    Haven’t seen any other comments call this out, but Bybre (the brake manufacturer here) is Brembo - it’s just their lower spec subsidiary for cheaper bikes. Bybre = By Brembo

    The brakes on this are in-house brembo designed parts, ktm save some money somehow by stating Bybre (By brembo)

      personally I would like to see well known brand parts on the motorcycle; hydraulic brake design isn't a secret anymore, it's the manufacturer that count, I'm sure ByBre will work just fine but I would prefer something like Nissin (for example)

    Well I bought it 😊, let’s just say if your coming from a 125 and your “not sure”? I’d say go for a it what a little rocket this is coming from 9hp for 44, feels like a super bike, with all the little addictions like the slipper clutch abs, tft display ktm my ride it’s just a absolute baragain of a bike for an a2 rider

      Too many variables to answer that one! Location, experience, age, employment, type of cover etc. My insurance has varied from £300-£1000 through out the years depending on the motorcycle and type of cover. Very hard to gauge though; run a quote online! :)

      They're both similar when it comes to riding style and performance. I prefer the MT-125 overall but, the KTM looks very unique and the latest model has some wicked electronics (screen, backlights etc)

  • @speedkiller3026

    this bike is slightly over the A2 license, ive heard the bike dealer can limit the bike via software is that possible?

    • @Neontrifle
      @Neontrifle 4 роки тому

      Yep! There are so many riding this on A2 due to bad You Tube advice, this means insurance would be invalid and I spoke to a cop who knows this. Its the power to wieght ratio. KTM..always original

    • @hphenry
      @hphenry 4 роки тому

      It's actually the pre 2016 Duke that's not A2 compliant. Due to ABS and other things, the newer bikes weigh more with the same power - which makes them legal to ride.

  • @kenichisan88
    @kenichisan88 6 років тому

    I understand it's a loan bike, but too bad you didn't get a 690 Duke (A2 restricted). Would maybe be a better comparison against the MT-07 ?
    I get that in theory an A2 compliant bike has lower kW/HP compared to it's "normal" version - (thinking off 690 Duke /MT07), but actually driving them, what changes? - acceleration? / torque? / top speed?

    • @EvolutionMotovlogs
      @EvolutionMotovlogs  6 років тому

      I agree, the 690/790 would've been a far better comparison! The 390 was certainly a fun snappy ride, but I'd prefer two cylinders of torque any day of the week.

  • @myzeris
    @myzeris 6 років тому

    Whats it like compare to MT07 performace ?

    • @EvolutionMotovlogs
      @EvolutionMotovlogs  6 років тому +1

      Single Cylinder 390cc vs Two Cylinder 700cc (approx).
      I love the torque you get from the MT07 and it has FAR more potential when un-restricted. I'd 100% favour the MT07 any day but it's a bit of an unfair comparison. The Duke 790 vs MT07 would be interesting however.

    May I suggest a pointer with the cinematography? (I think that’s the right word). With your sweeping shots at the beginning, slow them down if you can. Whether that’s manually doing it slower or slowing down the footage. And try to eliminate shake cause it’s fairly obvious. Slowing down footage through an editor is gonna help with that

    • @EvolutionMotovlogs
      @EvolutionMotovlogs  6 років тому

    • @EvolutionMotovlogs
      @EvolutionMotovlogs  6 років тому

      Very true, probably my lack of explanation on my terminology - you do require your A2 License which I refer to as 'restricted' (albeit, it's a full license as no L plates, motorway access, pillions etc). Where as the 'A' license is a full license, no restrictions or power limitations.
