Seems like you missed a big reveal. We get a brief flash in Vander's memories, the reason he tried to kill Silco, and why they fell out. Silco threw a molotov and instigated violence on the bridge protest, which ended up getting Vi and Jinx's parents killed.
we don’t know that it was solely him, it was just showing that he was there too, which is the true reveal. there was clearly already violence happening in the scene where silco threw the molotov
Yeah I may have missed that moment. It was clear though Vander attacked Silco out of hate for causing their deaths (he said it was both their faults really, in note Jynx read).
@@thecocoacouchmy interpretation is that they both planned the bridge protest/resistance, whichever you wanna call it, and when violence broke out and got the girls mother killed, he blamed silco because he couldn’t handle the blame himself. much like when vi hit powder in episode 3 and called her a jinx
You’re right! The reveal of Vander’s memories was huge, showing the breakdown between him and Silco. While it’s clear that Silco threw the molotov, we don’t have concrete evidence that he alone caused the violence ,it could have been a result of the larger, already tense situation. The important part is that Silco’s actions escalated things, leading to Vi and Jinx’s parents’ deaths, which completely shifted their lives. The flashback adds so much depth to their history, showing that the rift between Vander and Silco wasn’t just about ideals or power , it was personal, with tragic consequences. This definitely sheds more light on the complex motivations behind their conflict.
Notice how when Salo was talking to Jayce, he has no visible breath. Victor isnt healing people... He's creating walking corpses and controls a hivemind
one other thing i don’t see people mentioning is that they could be part mechanic and therefore not need to breathe. when viktor heals the man with glasses (i forget his name), metal parts fly to him from the surroundings. either way there is definitely something off there, but i truly don’t think viktor is doing something wrong intentionally
You know... i always found it curious why Silco was so utterly irritated and annoyed when Violet was beating his goons during Vanders rescue. More than just "worry". Like it was personal. .. now i see it. Silco saw how much Violet had taken after Vander. The kid they felt inspired to fight for. The sibling that betrayed them. That Vander "stole" and gave everything up for.
I think Jayce's earlier explanation of hextech runes vs wild runes can help explain what's going on with him and Viktor. Viktor merged with the hex core, and so he's interacting with the arcane through hex runes, giving it commands to heal people. The arcane is having a reaction via wild runes. We see a wild rune suck Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger into some other dimension and then we don't see any of them until Jayce gets spit back out. During Jayce's explanation he repeatedly demands Ekko hand him a book, and Ekko gets annoyed. I think a similar thing is happening now with the arcane. Viktor is repeatedly healing these people using the arcane, and the arcane is lashing back at Viktor using Jayce. As Heimerdinger says during the explanation, "Every action sparks a reaction"
I'm not sure Viktor is using Hex runes, but rather wild runes, since when he was healing, Jayce said the runes were changing at a pace he couldn't follow. I also think fusing with the hexcore gave him the ability to understand and "harmonize" with wild runes, while Jayce was simply sucked into and "attacked" by said runes
That theory is so interesting! I love the idea that Viktor’s constant use of the arcane through the hex core is causing a sort of imbalance. The arcane, being wild and unpredictable, might be reacting to his manipulation, which could explain his strange behavior and the tension with Jayce. The parallel with the wild rune dimension where Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger get trapped makes sense - it’s like the arcane is pushing back against Viktor’s control. The quote “Every action sparks a reaction” really ties it all together too. Viktor’s attempts to heal and use the arcane for good might be provoking unintended consequences, especially since he’s interacting with it in a way that’s outside its natural flow. I can definitely see how Jayce could end up being part of that reaction, especially given his previous conflicts with Viktor and the way the hextech and arcane worlds collide. It all feels like things are building up for a big reveal about how the arcane works and the consequences of messing with it too much.
Jinx isn't more adapted, she just doesn't have people who told her what to do and who to be anymore, she felt lost and empty at first to even care about anything, then Isha showed up, reminded her of the good side Powder had - an innocent child, not the weak one who couldn't save her family, and Isha's being mute is so important, Jinx already has too many voices inside her head, Isha was just there for her to finally have peace ((I am so mad they took it from Jinx))
I can't help but think of the genocide going on right now. There are a bunch of children who have no families and are nonverbal bc of all the trauma they've been through
Exactly, Jinx’s so-called “adjustment” comes from a lack of control and guidance, not necessarily adaptation. She was left to her own devices, and that’s when the chaos of her mind really took over. Isha’s presence brought her some calm, giving her a brief moment of peace and reconnecting her with that innocent part of herself something she desperately needed. It was such a raw, beautiful moment, and taking that away from Jinx felt like a gut punch. It’s like she finally had someone who didn’t push her, and they ripped it away from her. Heartbreaking.
Episode 4: I was initially surprised when Cait was pushing back on Ambessa instigating violence. But since it’s been at least a few months since Act 1 (Amanda said they mentioned 3-6 months but they never really made it specific) I think she’s just had enough distance from Cass dying that it’s not as raw and blinding. So while she’s still very much on the wrong path, her reactions aren’t as immediate. Plus Maddie seems to have been… ahem putting in overtime to kind of steer her away from Ambessa. A dangerous ploy but hey desperate times. Have I mentioned I love the Jinx Sevika dynamic. Because I do. I really really do. They bounce off each other so well. Ella absolutely killed it this episode, Jinx’s “talk” with Silco about made me cry. He’s finally here. Episode 5: The way I bawled. Also their little argument in the caves? I know I’ve said “last chance to surrender” when fighting with my siblings, especially my little sis, a million times. I also broke my dad’s nose with a stray elbow on accident when I was little. It happens. Good times, regardless. Seeing Detective Cait again made me so happy. I love when she uses that big analytical brain of hers. Episode 6: End of Arcane Act: *Ends in Tragedy* Us: *Surprised Pikachu Face* We all knew it was coming but it still freakin hurt. Jinx just isn’t allowed to have nice things. Poor Maddie. She spent months trying to get Cait away from Ambessa and then Vi shows up and does it in two seconds. Cait really folded when Vi called her Cupcake. In all seriousness though, I think they’ve done a decent job at showing that Cait never fully trusted Ambessa. But I still need the actual talk between her and Vi because, well, Cait really really screwed up. Also, I’m just gonna say it, every time Cait’s in the cape I cannot take her seriously. I love my girl but she really just looks like a vampire. It also just looks too big on her (which I’m inclined to think was intentional).
The rose, “step into the light”, trying to turn the beast back into a man… Tale as old as time (love and romance) Tune as old as song (hero leading a rebellion) Bittersweet and strange (Vi, Powder/Jinx, and Vander reconnecting + Isha) Finding you can change (Jayce’s/Viktor’s feelings about the arcane) Learning you were wrong (everyone who thought that bit of happiness would last)
Since season 1, episode 1 when they called vander the hound of the underground i knew he'd be the creature in league Warwick and when they even used his growl when he used the shimmer to save violet, i knew it was over for him sad but warwick is just a ravenous champion in league.
Totally! From the moment they mentioned Vander as the “hound of the underground,” it was such an obvious foreshadowing for his transformation into Warwick. His growl when he took the Shimmer and the way he started getting more animalistic only added to that sense of inevitability. It’s so tragic to see him go from this protective, caring figure to becoming a ravenous, mindless force, just like in League where Warwick is all about the hunt. It really adds to the emotional weight of his character arc, especially knowing how he used to be a protector of Zaun before Shimmer twisted him.
So. Not sure if you're aware of this or not, but in the scene where Jinx tells Sevika to get Isha out of Stillwater while she fights Warwick, Isha actually says a word. She's reaching over Sevika's shoulder towards Jinx, and she says, "Mama". And it actually broke my heart.
@@randiriel6248 no worries, rumors always spread faster than the facts, lol. Jinx and Isha's relationship is adorable and, in my opinion, much more special than if Isha saw Jinx as a mother figure. Jinx sees Isha as a little sister and caring for her puts a lot of things into perspective about her own life and her relationship with Vi. In S2 E6, Jinx tells Isha that since she's come into her life, it's like she put glasses on but can't tell if things are blurry or if things are clearer than ever. We can see Jinx's mental health improve through Act I and II of S2. When we're traumatized, sometimes healing comes through helping those who are going through what we've been through. Jinx was a great big sister to Isha 😭
It's one of my favorite things about people reacting to Arcane 😂😂 I think it's so frackin hilarious how collectively off-put everyone is to see them together, even though when we were first introduced to Maddie, we were collectively like "Oh, who is this? She's a cute marshmallow" 😂😂😂😂😂
Oh I've been waiting... Oh have I been WAITING for you to watch this. Also, for confusion on the Jayce causing Vander's degeneration back into a more primal/vicious state, I'd recommend watching the scene at the end where Viktor narrates what he sees in the pattern. There's a very short view that most people don't recognize along with someone in particular who had a very specific goal mentioned earlier in the episode.
It is said Singed injected Vander / Warwick with his blood, and trained him on this blood-trailing thing. Also that's how he managed to track him down into the commune, he just used the reverse mechanism
Arcane instigated so many emotions Oscar came into the comment section to interact 😅 That's what I truly didn't expect, otherwise I wouldn't have commented being half-asleep. Thank you for your reaction as always, it's a pleasure to see your opinion on everything ❤
show is so heartbreaking but good. for me the jail scene reminds me of the story VI told cait about playing with powder and pretending to be monsters like near the start of the episode, but VI ran and in the jail jinx stayed at fought the monster and sent isha away.
Lots of people are drawing comparisons between Viktor's Commune (and the Hex core for that matter) and the void. While the Arcane and Hex Tech might not themselves draw the Void, combining them with organic matter (which caused to hex core to get really creepy when it absorbed Viktor's blood and then killed the assistant) might be the part thats problematic. Alternwtively, simply overtaxing the arcane and causing wild runes could be enough to draw the Void, since there was already weird corruption at the underground hex gate core. We aren't even actually sure how much of what Viktor was doing was him and not someone else's influence - after all, there's no proof that he was interacting with the real assistant or whether she was an imposter or even a delusion. Of course, the same could be said of Jayce. Is he acting of his own volition on his own convictions because of some eldritch or void horror or future he saw? Or is he the one being manipulated? Either way, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now because, ultimately, the hex core and Viktor's Commune have struck me as a concern the entire runtime. Seems good on the surface, but what's really going on and what are the consequences?
Jayce PROMISED Viktor he would destroy the hexcore with the hammer and let Viktor die!! He was trying to fulfill his episode 9 promise to his dying friend 💔
I would love if you reacted to Wolf Children, Castle in the Sky, or The Lorax. You reactions are so insightful, and because you are so empathetic I think you would like watching them. All great stories.
When Vi and Jinx were hugging Vander(and Isha too, of course) and the lyrics said “what have they done to us” and i started bawling even harder than i already was🥲 Like that song and those lyrics hit way too hard for that scene. Also, i honestly can’t remember the last time i’ve cried so much and so often than now during the few days I binged this season lol. Like i just don’t cry easily usually, but i think i cried almost every episode once or sometimes several times. Like the creators of arcane are just way too good at making emotionally heavy stories, seriously pretty much all characters are so well written and i have empathy for all of them. I literally don’t hate a single character or think they’re just evil, like Ambessa is maybe the closest thing to an actual villain since she’s a privileged war monger, which is why i see her as worse than Silco ever was. Because Silco was fighting for something good, his ways just were morally dubious, but honestly, what else could he have done? Zaun is just so worse off than Piltover that they could never beat them in a fair and just fight. But Ambessa could easily stop causing wars, she isn’t oppressed or poor, she has so much but she just wants more. Maddie and Marcus are the closest thing to characters i disliked, they were just somewhat enraging lol😂
I think the magic was taking away people’s lives. It almost seemed like it was a body snatch alien invasion. Great reaction! I’m looking forward to hopefully seeing Ecko next Act!
I think Caitlyn being with Maddie at the start of act 2 was basically the same as Vi being a drunk and pitfighting, it was her way of dealing with the loss of their relationship You can really tell how much Caitlyn isn't paying attention at all to Maddie, whereas with Vi she's always super soft, and always pulls her closer. With Maddie she's more like looking away, almost has a disgusted look on her face as a "wtf am I doing" Edit: It's also telling how when Maddie asks Caitlyn to retreat from the Underground she says "Not without Jinx" but when Vi basically wants Caitlyn to betray Ambessa and her entire invasion by just calling her cupcake once, she instantly folds :P
True 😆😆 to give Vi credit though, saying having a relationship with someone is the same as pit fighting is not true. I’d argue that both are extremely unhealthy, but only one of them is being dependent on another person. She may not be in that relationship to cope with everything, but technically if she is in that relationship as a coping mechanism, she’s using another person in a selfish way which in my opinion is worse than Vi punishing herself. I want to reiterate though that both are bad!! Just one of them isn’t involving anyone else.
"It seems pretty hopeless at the moment" he said....... Before episode 6. Anyway, loved your reaction.💙 I can't tell if I should be greatful to know more about the overall lore, and catch more hidden details and foreshadowing or envy you, because you are blessed with the element of total surprise.
My running theory is that Viktor, potentially unwittingly, was inviting the creation of a Void hive, and that Jayce - either by seeing things in some eldritch plane or by experience timey wimey things (perhaps Ekko and the fur ball sent him back in time or something), he knows the real danger of what hides in the Arcane, and killing Viktor now is the only way to stop it in his mind. For now, he comes off as unhinged and antagonistic since his interference likely caused the death of Vander (even if Warwick survives, Vander might be gone now), but we haven't seen what he has seen yet, we don't know what's motivating him. Time will tell. Time will also tell whether Viktor really dies or survives in some way, more machine prophet than man, with his newfound conclusions about how emotion undermines perfection (this is in line with his character in LoL) and we will see if the beast Vander survives and whether Vander will still be in there or not. We saw Vi and Jinx repair some of their relationship, but will that survive the death of the little girl and Vander? And obviously we don't actually know yet what's happened to Ekko and professor furball. Finally, Mil (Mal?) Seems to have awakened some ability and might have broken free of the black rose, but we don't really know yet.
20:55 I also have a lot of empathy for Caitlyn, and I also understand where she's coming from. Im so devastated for her. HAVING SAID THAT, releasing toxic gas that kills and disables people into an area where they cannot escape it is NOT a valid response to her trauma. I know you said that you dont support her response, and I think we mostly agree, but I really think we cant take out of context what she is doing. What she is doing is terrorism and it is not justified. To be honest, when you think about it, what Caitlyn is doing right now is almost comparable to what Jinx did at the end of last season, but the reception of their respective acts of terrorism is very different. In the end, I can understand for both of them where their grief came from and why they acted how they did, but that doesnt make them justified whatsoever.
@@charliejean9693 Totally agree, it’s heartbreaking to empathize with her pain while still condemning her actions. Trauma explains behavior but doesn’t excuse it, especially when it harms others. The comparison to Jinx is spot on; both acts stem from grief but have devastating consequences. It’s such a morally gray area that really shows how deep and complex these characters are.
I'm still convinced Isha is/was Teemo using glamour, scoping out the undercity drama for his mushroom connections. He'd dealt with Singed, no doubt Silco, and now to sidle up with Jinx and play along for a bit to unwind his own trauma, then yordle his way back to Bandle City while permanently dropping the disguise? It all fits. You all are crying over Teemo, slippery as an eel.
vander is on borrowed time so for them all to get some closure instead of how it was with just act 1 ep 3, its still super sad but this time with his death(cuz its gonna happen) it should bring them together hopefully but they did isha dirty i hate how good this show is
@@thecocoacouch sorry, sometimes I dont get irony 😅 Anyways, I totally agree with your views of caitlyn and the characters If someone is comparing pains is the moment someone opinion becomes a little..weird and questionable I imagine nobody who lost their mother would enjoy hearing someone say "oh but your problem doesn't matter because I know someone who lost their whole family"
That she’s punishing herself? I don’t think that’s mean, it’s just an observation since all she’s tried to do is protect loved ones and she’s never succeeded.
I don't like Singed's take on death. I understand his grief for his daughter but death is inevitable to human life. Trying to keep dying people alive or mess with their nature in order to keep them breathing is unnatural and will only lead to creepy, sad shadows of their former selves.
SPOILER AHEAD . A BIT FURTHER, to make sure . Isha's death broke me fr. A 26 year old guy shedding tears for a cartoon character. But damn, she was special

Yeah it's crazy how Vi turned on her sister just because of her rich girlfriend. If she didn't fall for Cait, she wouldn't care about Jinx killing the council.
Vi was waking up, fighting and drinking herself to sleep every night. Clubbing, getting into fights at the club and chasing her only friend, Loris, away and you're sincerely questioning whether she's intentionally punishing herself? Really? 🤔
The show displayed something and I said it’s displaying that thing….and that’s weird? 😆😆😆😆 I’ve had people comment when I’m wrong about something, but being right is next level.
@@thecocoacouch My point was that it was weird to even remark on it rhetorically, because it was beyond obvious that she was self-destructing on purpose. What are you talking about? We owe everything to Victor. We all float down here. You'll float too...
In Jayce we trust

one other thing i don’t see people mentioning is that they could be part mechanic and therefore not need to breathe. when viktor heals the man with glasses (i forget his name), metal parts fly to him from the surroundings. either way there is definitely something off there, but i truly don’t think viktor is doing something wrong intentionally
You know... i always found it curious why Silco was so utterly irritated and annoyed when Violet was beating his goons during Vanders rescue.
Ooh, now there's an idea. 🤔
16:53 It's good to see a non-League fan react to Vander being Warwick
I got spoiled by a video with the text "PROOF THAT WARWICK IS VANDER" on the thumbnail :(
Jinx isn't more adapted, she just doesn't have people who told her what to do and who to be anymore, she felt lost and empty at first to even care about anything, then Isha showed up, reminded her of the good side Powder had - an innocent child, not the weak one who couldn't save her family, and Isha's being mute is so important, Jinx already has too many voices inside her head, Isha was just there for her to finally have peace ((I am so mad they took it from Jinx))
Yeah that’s what I was trying to say. She’s more adjusted because of all those things you just mentioned.

I am a Jayce believer, he MUST have seen something so horrifying he had to do all that

Episode 4:
I was initially surprised when Cait was pushing back on Ambessa instigating violence.
Episode 5:
The way I bawled.
Episode 6:
End of Arcane Act: *Ends in Tragedy*
Us: *Surprised Pikachu Face*
We all knew it was coming but it still freakin hurt.
Cait reminds me of Vincent in FFVII when she wears that cape lol
26:23 just noticed the tans, gay, and lesbian flag colors on the walls during this scene 😭 love u Arcane 🫶🏾
The rose, “step into the light”, trying to turn the beast back into a man…
Tale as old as time (love and romance)
Tune as old as song (hero leading a rebellion)
Bittersweet and strange (Vi, Powder/Jinx, and Vander reconnecting + Isha)
Finding you can change (Jayce’s/Viktor’s feelings about the arcane)
Learning you were wrong (everyone who thought that bit of happiness would last)
Um, OUCH.😭😭

She didn't say "mama." That rumor was ended almost immediately. She's grunting; she can't speak as she's mute confirmed by the writers.
@ Ohhh, my bad!! I’ve seen that in so many different places I thought it was actually true. I hadn’t heard that it was disproved. Thanks!!
Hugs for whoever needs it.
This act left me in SHAMBLES. A husk of myself.
Reactions to Maddie being in bed with Cait are always priceless. The audacity
It's one of my favorite things about people reacting to Arcane 😂😂 I think it's so frackin hilarious how collectively off-put everyone is to see them together, even though when we were first introduced to Maddie, we were collectively like "Oh, who is this? She's a cute marshmallow"
😂😂😂😂😂
Episode V was an emotional one, but I started crying for Vi in that opening sequence. The way they illustrated her pain was so well done!
Pretty sure Jayce didn’t cause that. Wasn’t it Singed that activated that degradation?
@@thecocoacouch Yeah, so many people have missed it. The Jayce hate bandwagon is maaaaassive XD
Oh wow, I hadn't noticed that previously. Makes a lot more sense now why he burst out like that.
Omg finally who didn't know about the Vander / Warwick reveal 😂
My 4th time watching this over all, third time watching someone reaction to it and 4 times I've cried so bad at this!
show is so heartbreaking but good. for me the jail scene reminds me of the story VI told cait about playing with powder and pretending to be monsters like near the start of the episode, but VI ran and in the jail jinx stayed at fought the monster and sent isha away.
Jayce, you seriously better have a damn good reason for what you did next Act! My opinion of you depends on it!
They had their moment of happiness, healing, and hope only to have it ripped away all over again 😭😭😭
Vander got blasted by so many hex cores by now
When Vi and Jinx were hugging Vander(and Isha too, of course) and the lyrics said “what have they done to us” and i started bawling even harder than i already was🥲 Like that song and those lyrics hit way too hard for that scene.
I think Caitlyn being with Maddie at the start of act 2 was basically the same as Vi being a drunk and pitfighting, it was her way of dealing with the loss of their relationship
You can really tell how much Caitlyn isn't paying attention at all to Maddie, whereas with Vi she's always super soft, and always pulls her closer. With Maddie she's more like looking away, almost has a disgusted look on her face as a "wtf am I doing"
Edit: It's also telling how when Maddie asks Caitlyn to retreat from the Underground she says "Not without Jinx" but when Vi basically wants Caitlyn to betray Ambessa and her entire invasion by just calling her cupcake once, she instantly folds :P
As a former LoL player, its really interesting and fun to come up with theories about what can happen in Act 3.
10/10, thanks i hate it
i wonder if vander even realized vi and jinx were ever on bad terms lol
That scene of family reunion made me cry the happiest tears, why did they take it from us 😭
"It seems pretty hopeless at the moment" he said....... Before episode 6.
Anyway, loved your reaction.💙 I can't tell if I should be greatful to know more about the overall lore, and catch more hidden details and foreshadowing or envy you, because you are blessed with the element of total surprise.
came from last episode... hi...
Vander was okay when Jayce killed Viktor, it's freaking Singed who messed him up again!!
From what I understand/remember, the time jump from episode 3-4 is roughly half a year
11:58 I have a theory that the enforcer knows its supposed to be the other guard that they knocked out, and he's had a thing for her for a bit
Yeah this is a good expansion on what I was saying. Pretty nuts what she did aye.
I appreciate your take on Caitlyn (near 21m) so much

Ep 6: Cool...... Now let's take it all away
Haven’t even watched the reaction yet but I can already hear isha’s song 😭😭😭
I'm still convinced Isha is/was Teemo using glamour, scoping out the undercity drama for his mushroom connections. He'd dealt with Singed, no doubt Silco, and now to sidle up with Jinx and play along for a bit to unwind his own trauma, then yordle his way back to Bandle City while permanently dropping the disguise? It all fits. You all are crying over Teemo, slippery as an eel.
Every character in Arcane has Good Intensions.
I was so destroyed by this act, I still have no words
I'm watching Arcane with my bf and we're waiting eagerly for act 3. Episode 6 broke us both tho
