Just a theory, but I feel like the arcane is more void type energy than that from the world runes. Which would explain all the warping that's happening as that is what the void does. And what do we know about the void? That it wants to spread. It found Victor as a host who would be glad to spread the "Arcane" to help people. The void doesn't care whether it helps people or not, so the fact that they somewhat stayed who they were, and lived a peacefull life is of no consequence. But Jayce somehow finds out and knows that the spread needs to stop, so he tries to kill victor. Victor will come back, or at least a version of him so warped by the void he is unrecognizable, and he will stop at nothing to spread the "arcane".
the watercolor scenes.... brilliant. The other one that really stood out for me was the Ekko/Jinx faceoff on the bridge... where We see the entire fight in freeze frame... before Ekko starts over and doesn't make the mistake that would kill him.
@Todrick451 instant classics for sure. Caitlyn's grief in charcoal to open the season and Vander's glimpses of his former life really stuck with me as well.
It's unbelievable to me that some people are calling those scenes out as lazy, I guess they would rather have people talking in rooms rather than utilizing the art of animation to relay moments thru glorious visual storytelling.
I'm in the middle on if I like this season, but it is undoubtedly worth it just by the artistic merit alone. Arcane S1 took a lot of risks and leaps with its art, but S2 is doing even more, even further, and I love that part of it.
I loved the training scene between Caitlyn and Ambessa because all the principles that were discussed were about the individual, vision, might, guile and sacrifice are foreshadowed at the end. We see that later at the end but as a collective with Caitlyn (vision), Vi (might), Jinx (guile), and Isha (sacrifice).
Funfact, those 3 principles are symbols for 3 leaders of Noxus. They might dive into that in the next show. It may be hinting that Ambessa wants to be the 4th. Or the ultimate leader.
After Viktor dies Vander is still not affected but you can see singed for a second after they leave the tent standing over him, the liquid in his thingy is orange so you can tell he did inject him with the stuff while everybody else was distracted. The runes on the staff the guy uses to absorb Jinxs attacks are an item from the game they have one of the highest magic resist stats in game so it's really cool how they translated that into the show. I became at least 5 years younger from your suffering watching this btw so thank you
Oh fuck, I forgot about the orange liquid. I thought the Hextech that Viktor implanted was melting within him because of Viks death. You just changed my perspective.
@@Frandahabyes, but the injection Singed used on him is the primary reason for him going berserk. Don’t forget that Vander was already at least decently docile. my thought was Viktors healing is what was needed in Warwick for Singed to get what he wanted out of Warwicks canister... like Viktors healing was needed to make Singed's cure work. so when he took that Warwick's healing was basically done for.
Isha being mute was actually a symbol of silencing voices in jinx head, also the fact that she didn't speak now jinx won't be able to imagine her voice in her head :d
It made me sob even harder when I realized Isha's last song was in a different language because she was selectively mute. You crying makes ME cry n tear up when ive already seen the show 😭😭😭 I love witnessing human emotions take over, happiness or sadness Showing compassion in these moments is what makes us humane..it's what makes us human 🤧💚
Some Act 2 Call Backs - Jayce, Ekko, and Heim definitely saw some evil twisted world. We are so sad and focused on the "Arcane" (getting vander back, all the happiness) that we didn’t focus on the little sinister details behind the scenes. One Salo isn’t breathing when they are in the hexgate mesh, they also did very quick camera flutter, but they show a very sinister image of non-human existing instead of salo as a human. Also, I don’t think a lot of people noticed, but Vander didn’t just disappear because of Viktor’s death. Singed most likely woke up and injected the Serum into Warwick after Caitlyn, Vi, and Jinx walked out. Season 1 - Vi "Oil & Water" | Season 2 - Caitlyn "You look like an angry oil slick" Also some people don't realize when Vi is telling us the plan, she is actually talking to Jinx because she says "You're not going to like it." Meaning Vi told Jinx the plan because she's going to have to trust Caitlyn. Ironically she didn't tell Caitlyn that Jinx knew the plan.
The flashback was very interesting because the song you hear out of the jukebox is actually the second time we've heard that song. The first time was in season 1 right before the enforcers come to take Vander away as a scapegoat for the hextech heist. Vander puts it on the jukebox as powder sits at the bar with him. He sees Powder looking sad and offers him juice, the same juice he gave to her mom the day she told him she was pregnant with Vi. He found so much comfort in that song that it was the last thing he wanted to listen to before being taken off to prison. I personally believe that Vander is potentially Powder's biological dad which plays into the whole Jinx motif. Also, gives good context into why Silco took in jinx rather than killing her.
It's a blink-and-you-miss-it detail, but my favorite part of E6 is at the very end: when Isha fires her triple-loaded gun and the blast washes over everybody, Vi puts herself between Jinx and the blast and covers Jinx with her body to shield her.
Same way she defended her from Warwick when she didn't thought it was Vander. She had having Vander back in Ona hand and defending Jinx in another. Her primal instinct was to jump between danger and her sister... Even when she tried to convince herself that her sister is "gone".
After the emotional damage from this act I'm not sure if I'll be ready for act 3 which everyone on the cast and crew is teasing us to brace ourselves for
Caitlyn realizes what she was doing wrong was when they talk to Singed. Caitlyn hates Singed and calls him a "monster" because he created Shimmer and does inhuman experiments. When Singed tells her what he did was for the love of his daughter, Caitlyn realizes that because of her love for her mom, she might be doing something evil as well. That makes her understand that not everything can be justified for love but also that she would still be willing to help people that she loves (Vi) for good. This is exactly the message they were trying to convey through this episode, that there are 2 sides of a coin. Love makes us do both good and bad things. Caitlyn's love for her mother made her do bad things but her love for Vi makes her do good. That is exactly what they were trying to tell us.
20:57 I’ve been tearing up at this moment in the episode all week. But not gonna lie. When you said “his friend” it was funny. 😂. Looking forward to watching the rest of the video
I think we're about to see how Jace was right. The Arcane was corrupting life and Viktor, he just didnt know it and you could see that when he died all of those people he helped just died with them, they were bound to him controlled by the Arcane. We should see a flashback in the coming episodes hopefully. That's just my take :P
Jayce 100% came from skynet future and tried to stop it. Except this most likely started it since at the end of the episode Viktor decided humanity needs to be erased.
its also extremely evident in how much their personalities changes. Salo for the entire show has only ever cared about himself and having as much power as possible, but after supposedly only having his legs changed, he completely 180s and is kind and takes after Viktor's ideals. It's like the person who gets healed dies and is replaced by something else
@@jason.s.music. Definitely, if you look closely you will also see that in the tower Salo actually doesnt breathe... so yeah Jayce is fine and breathes, but he sees a "thing" "inside" Salo, who is not breathing at all...
honestly this show just breaks me every episode. i dont know why i do this to myself but i cant stop, its too good. (i think i need about 12 therapy sessions when the show ends, calling it right now)
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Eternal singularities off the shoulder of the Arcane. I watched blue beams glitter in the dark near the Hex Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain. Time to die." - Victor
Remember back when Viktor wanted to destroy the hexcore? And now he doesn't, almost like now that he's fused with it it's slowly start to make him think he was doing good thing healing people through it's powers. I'm not convinced that it was, Viktor's motives might have been, but the hexcore seems to have been controlling him via Sky. Jayce might have seen something, being sent to the future where he saw exactly what happens if Viktor is left unchecked and had a mission to stop it at any cost. I also don't think Jayce is responsible for Vander. He wasn't 100% fixed by Viktor yet, so I don't think he was "linked" to Viktor yet. If you looked closely after the fight breaks out, there a shot of Singed (mad scientist guy) standing there. I assume he injected Vander with the serum that made him go full feral after Jinx and Vi left him alone with him to check out what had happen outside.
I just realized that we also don't know why Salo was in the Hexgate tower and why he's taking something (hexcores ?) from there. Can Victor recharge his power with hex crystals ? Will Isha's sacrifice give Victor a power up ?
@@scrrin Speaking of Salo, did you realise he was not breathing in the tower (Jayce hat cold breath Salo didnt have breath at all)? Everyone is so focused on the family, that they overlook the fact that Viktor/the hexcore might not be what he seems. Like Salo might be already dead... Jayce saw a weird (void?)thing-person "inside" salo for a second, maybe that wasnt him beeing weird/controllen/delusional but actually seeing that viktor is putting some sort of other consciousness in people.
I saw someone say that when Isha saw Jinx lying on the ground she thought she wasn't going to get up and let herself die since she's done that a couple of times this season(Vi vs Jinx scene, Warwick vs Jinx fight) so she tried doing something to save her. You can also see it in her face right before she starts running when she looks at the hex cores.
Episode 5 gives us such new insight on EVERYTHING! We see how close knit the friendship once was with Vander, Silco and the mother of Vi and Jinx. Silco knew who Powder was... the daughter of someone he really cared about... and he raised Jinx in honor of her. She mattered to him WAY more than we ever thought!
Yup... So that happened. Was waiting for your reaction, always the best. And again I'm taken away while you are watching it. Sobbing together... I'm a grown ass man. These writers, ... 😭😭
Isha's song, the last words the Chinese singer says translates to this: "I'm just fine this way" meaning that she didn't want to die but she accepts it has to be that way. Isha's name also multiple meanings, two of the most important are "Healer & The One Who Protects". That brush moments are intentional; we saw ourselves as a kid in brighter memories. Memories where all was bright, colorful, and joyful. We never wanted to change that, but we did. Also, two symbolism, Isha’s paint color is blue symbolism for Powder as she is catching up to Jinx purple to heal her soul. Also notice how Jinx’s eyes flutter blue at least twice as they are jumping. Now Isha's soul says those last words to Jinx, unheared by death, echoed on us. This show is the epitome of show, don’t tell. So many times, I wish more dialogue was written, or I wrote it my own. But they left it up to the audience to interpret the situation based on their own perceptions. And this truly epitomized by the character of Isha, a character that is mute, doesn’t say a single line of dialogue, which also represents the voices going away in Jinx’s head. People don't realize it yet, but the writers made their point of this act very clear from the beginning. The second we see Maddie with Caitlyn, we feel betrayed and hurt, some even hate Maddie herself. We feel bad for Vi and we feel cheated on as an audience, but time and people move forward, even if it's temporarily or attempt to "fill a hole,” but Maddie also played a secondary role; to help keep Cait's humanity. Warwick and Isha's roles were to heal Jinx, bring back her humanity, heal sisters and a family. And just like the intro of the act, it's the outro, we have it all torn away and are betrayed.
Couple things to notice: -Salo doesn't breathe when he meets Jayce. And when Jayce first sees him, there's a quick flash of him being something... Not human...with an empty head (it's almost cup shaped) . The theories are that Viktor basically encountered some kind of malevolent void being that hijacks people's brains, and functions as a hive mind. If that's the case, Skye might actually not be Skye, but rather just the void thing's method of manipulating Viktor. -in the Jinx/Isha flashbacks during her epic moment, you see Jinx's pink eyes flickering back to blue a few times, showing the impact that Isha was having on Jinx, almost letting her start to turn back into powder. -Warwick/ Vander is triggered by blood, so after Isha gets accidentally smacked by Vi, it's that blood that triggered him to hunt her down. When Vi first punches him, you also see he's not even acknowledging Vi yet, he's reaching out to try and grab/hurt Isha while in his bloodlust state, and constantly distracted by her mid fight.
In the earlier episodes Heimerdinger mentioned that he's seen great magical healers create miracles only to too see them fall into ruins. He hypothesize that it might the very nature of the arcane itself that brings ruin, not the user. A cause and effect. Viktor's peaceful community will, not if, turn into something else naturally entirely. Maybe, something not good.
How many more times will Vi become an edgelord in this series? She did it when she went to prison in the first season, and then she did it here. In season 2, she'll only talk in haiku.
"You look like a half-eaten circus tent." That line made my mom laugh so hard when I sat her down to watch the new episodes and I had to rewind it so she could settle and pay attention to what was happening. Now I quote it and she immediately smiles and giggles. 😂
I have been waiting ALLLL week for this. I am a 31 year old Army vet....I think the only thing I have teared up at was Up and dog movies, this shit got me.
We're big fans of your channel! Love how genuine and authentic you are on your reactions and it shows in all of your videos :) the production is also FIRE! Keep up the awesome content!! 🎉💖
I knew that when this came out that Natalie would be a blubbering mess of weeping at the end of the three episodes... and she was. Arcane just knows exactly how to reach into your chest, grab your heart, and rip it out, still beating, before holding it up in front of your face and saying "I own this. This is mine. You will feel everything I do to it."
It took me a while but Warwick going full on rage, wasn't because of what happened with Viktor, but because Singed injected him with that serum he made to conteract Viktors work
13:09 Vander was literally going to kill the little girl there. Vi did the right thing stopping him. He would've killed both the little girl and Vi since he only "remember" Jinx in that moment.
the line where cait says to Vi " you look like an angry oil slick" has more weight considering people have been saying from the start Cait and Vi are written as being oil and water. one is clean, one is dirty, one is elegant, the other is rough, they like each other but every time they get close, they are pushed apart.
In case y'all feel like crying some more. I read somewhere that Vander doesn't question isha, like who she is or anything like that because he doesn't realize how long he's been dead (or away if you want to put it that way) and seeing his two "daughters" grown up now. He probably thinks it's jinx's daughter considering she has blue hair just like her. 😢
I'm going to need you to get a hold of yourself, ma'am. I held it together on my first watch, but watching it with you had me shedding tears. Manly tears, of course. 😂
For anyone interested in speculations: In the last scene of ep. 5 take a close look what happens when Jayce talks and what (doesnt) happens when Silo/Viktor talk. (after they exit the weird Arcane realm)
@@bhavyakabade You can see Jayce's breath but not Salo's. Maybe Jayce is breathing harder but if you remember in episode 3, ekko heimerdinger and jayce all had breath coming out of their mouths while in that hexroom.
14:54 is killing me because I was like wait until she realizes it’s their mom and it just flew right over her head LOL (I know she understand but it’s still funny)

Vander gets the blue hair little girl + 3 hex orb special, AGAIN.
It´s a favorite of the house 🥲

Yeah, as soon as viktor spoke through Salo I was uncomfortable. It was more like a hive mind. I don't think those people weren't truly alive anymore.
I always think when she says he shouldn’t have died she meant he shouldn’t have went for the gun like he kinda asked for it
honestly this show just breaks me every episode. i dont know why i do this to myself but i cant stop, its too good. (i think i need about 12 therapy sessions when the show ends, calling it right now)
episode 5 made me cry like a baby. i love this fucked up family so much
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Eternal singularities off the shoulder of the Arcane. I watched blue beams glitter in the dark near the Hex Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain.
Time to die." - Victor
This season has been an emotional roller coaster. Such a good show
oh Nat i feel your pain. i was not okay after these episodes.
This episode hit every note...
No matter how many times I re-watch, I keep getting teary eyed.
Yup... So that happened. Was waiting for your reaction, always the best. And again I'm taken away while you are watching it. Sobbing together... I'm a grown ass man. These writers, ... 😭😭
Act 2 broke me so damn hard, I honestly dont know if I will recover
Me at the end of Act 1: What's up? Why am I not emotionally destroyed?
Act 2: hold my hextech gemstone...
Couple things to notice:
-Salo doesn't breathe when he meets Jayce.
Isha did become powder in the end
jail for this
When you laugh and cry a lot at the same time...
How many more times will Vi become an edgelord in this series? She did it when she went to prison in the first season, and then she did it here. In season 2, she'll only talk in haiku.
Already rewatched you 3 times sobbing to Isha😌
Mad respect for your vulnerability. 32 yr dude, and both 5 and 6 made me ugly cry too.
i clicked the video just for the miniature.. and yeah, that photo of you absolutely sobbing sums up that ending perfectly
"You look like a half-eaten circus tent." That line made my mom laugh so hard when I sat her down to watch the new episodes and I had to rewind it so she could settle and pay attention to what was happening. Now I quote it and she immediately smiles and giggles. 😂
"Am i supposed to know who viloet is"
BRUH i laughed to hard, cuaght me so off guard
Youre the best nat ❤
I knew Nat would cry
I have been waiting ALLLL week for this. I am a 31 year old Army vet....I think the only thing I have teared up at was Up and dog movies, this shit got me.
Girl, Act 2 healed me and then broke me again... Well done Riot and Fortiche. 👏
I'm going to tell my therapist about Act 2, goddamn it.
Heimer can put the ashes back together, in heimer we trust
We're big fans of your channel! Love how genuine and authentic you are on your reactions and it shows in all of your videos :) the production is also FIRE! Keep up the awesome content!! 🎉💖
I knew that when this came out that Natalie would be a blubbering mess of weeping at the end of the three episodes... and she was. Arcane just knows exactly how to reach into your chest, grab your heart, and rip it out, still beating, before holding it up in front of your face and saying "I own this. This is mine. You will feel everything I do to it."
13:41"I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE" are you also in a glass house of emooootions
Binging 4-6, I literally had a headache from crying.
I cry all the time at shows but that degree is a first for me.
It took me a while but Warwick going full on rage, wasn't because of what happened with Viktor, but because Singed injected him with that serum he made to conteract Viktors work
1:08 That's what I love about watching reactions, things that I wouldn't ever think about it.
13:09 Vander was literally going to kill the little girl there. Vi did the right thing stopping him. He would've killed both the little girl and Vi since he only "remember" Jinx in that moment.
Right?! Like I don’t think she had a choice atm😭
14:39 Something I’ve learned in the last couple of weeks is the fight against oppression is ALWAYS a generational one.
I am not ready for the big finale. My heart is allready broken into 1000 pieces💔💥
That "He is you dad too" made me cry soooo hard.
I’m not gonna cry, I am strong, I am strong, I am…
*“What’re you waiting for, he’s your dad too”*
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
the line where cait says to Vi " you look like an angry oil slick" has more weight considering people have been saying from the start Cait and Vi are written as being oil and water. one is clean, one is dirty, one is elegant, the other is rough, they like each other but every time they get close, they are pushed apart.
Nat!! You getting the reference of Ambessa "stoking the fire", aaaaaah!! I love that you caught that! ❤
Watching you cry makes ME CRY 😢😢😢
11:53 Jayce in chapter 1: "It doesn't make any sense, Viktor was right next to me, I got out unscathed and he ends up like this?"
I cannot BELIEVE you cut out the scene between Caitlyn and Maddie, I really wanted to see tour reaction to it!! 😭😭
Great editing btw. :)
I appreciate you and thank you for making content.
You were me during the Isha scene. Absolutely a sobbing mess. So nice to see a reactor I so deeply identify with.
I LOVE that you had no idea Warwick was Vander.
In the animation of Isha and Jinx together you can see Jinx’s eyes flash blue, showing how Isha was pulling Powder back to the surface slowly 😭
I should've watched this at home... alone... Where no one can see me sobbing at the sight of Natalie's anguish.
24:24 Saved everyone from the destruction of Piltover and Zaun
I'm going to need you to get a hold of yourself, ma'am. I held it together on my first watch, but watching it with you had me shedding tears.
Manly tears, of course. 😂
For anyone interested in speculations: In the last scene of ep. 5 take a close look what happens when Jayce talks and what (doesnt) happens when Silo/Viktor talk. (after they exit the weird Arcane realm)
... I need an explanation
@@bhavyakabade You can see Jayce's breath but not Salo's. Maybe Jayce is breathing harder but if you remember in episode 3, ekko heimerdinger and jayce all had breath coming out of their mouths while in that hexroom.
@@bhavyakabade Salo has no breath. He is probably already "dead". Or at least not as alive as he should be.
Best series ever ♥
14:54 is killing me because I was like wait until she realizes it’s their mom and it just flew right over her head LOL (I know she understand but it’s still funny)
I've been waiting patiently for you to watch E6. I knew it would tear you up emotionally, as it did me.
Same girl !!! Act 2 broke me too 😭
One of the writers really sat down in a meeting and said "wouldn't be funny if we bring Vander back just to kill him again 2 episodes later? " and run with that idea
