I regret that bamboo toothbrush too. I bought the soft one and my gums started bleeding after every use even through i don't brush hard.

I’m sorry but cutlery is not wasteful. How is good quality - rust free metal any waste to begin with? You can always melt it down and renew it.

I use the philips head and you can get bamboo replacements instead of plastic
