  • The 2023 Triumph Street Triple RS is quite possibly one of the best triples on the market. It's untamed and unapologetic. It is a bike that would be an absolute weapon on the track, but is it a bike that you could ride every day? Watch this video to find out.

IMO the Street triple is definitely a better all round bike than the Speed triple, I rode both back to back and found the Speed a pain in the butt in town traffic and was able to ride the Street faster on country roads though I must admit the Speeds top end rush is addictive but I ended up buying the Street in cosmic yellow and couldn't be happier with it.

The first time I learnt of the street triple, I mostly thought the front was ugly. The rest was fine. Felt like the front didn't meld, design wise, with the rest of the bike. With this 2023 model, I feel like the small changes to the shapes of the tank, fairings, and headlights, I feel like the quirky looks have now come together as one cohesive design. Looks are still polarizing, but if for someone like me who overall have liked the looks, I think it's never looked better. Just booked an R model today. I can't afford the RS with the currency conversion in my country. Hopefully by next week I'll be riding it home!

One month in to owning my white with the yellow subframe moto2 edition. In 35 years riding & prob 50 plus bikes its the most fun bike i have ever owned. Perfect amount of power for the road, nimble, precise sublime handling. Spine tingling induction howl around the 5500-6000rpm area. Drop dead gorgeous looks (You two are the only ones who i know who semi disagree). Only thing i dont like is the dash, pants in all 4 screens & numbers very small but i can live with it. Quickshifter up there with the best, as good as my streetfighter V4. Well done Triumph though

@@BikerTorque Good point. I notice the people who complain the most about the TFT tend to be older, like us, though. I owned a 2009 Street Triple standard back in 09' and loved it for 5 years. It got to be more then I needed though. The roads that I ride where I live are country roads with a lot of curves and a lot of times I just wanted a nice slow ride. I owned a Bonnie at the same time and I found myself opting for it instead of the Striple. I traded it in on a new bike. I now just bought a ZX4RR that fills the gap of my touring and cruiser bike. I get the same amount of joy out of it as I did with the Striple but with less instant power. I have to work for it and that is part of the experience that I enjoy. I can take it for a nice leisurely ride in the country or blast away if I want. The ergo's are similar as the Striple was. I might have to sell my Sportster, maybe. My Heritage doubles as a cruiser and a touring bike.

Italy is for food. Driving from restaurant to restaurant. With my first motorcycle, I would drive from " Jack-In-The-Box " restaurant to another somewhere else in the city. I would purchase an order of fried onion rings (breaded batter coated onion slices) between my thighs. The goal being to arrive at the next restaurant before running out of rings. I would see much of the city during the night this way. Carried over to adulthood. During cross country travels, I would go from Mexican cuisine restaurant to the next. Most featured home cooked recipes. A good break from hamburgers. " Hey! "

@@BikerTorque Humorously, the reasoning was not due to extensive research. I have a friend who sells Triumphs and I asked him what bike he would get if he could - and he said the Moto 2 hands down. I loved the livery and that it was a limited edition. It was after this (that I bought it) that I realized that it had differences from the RS beyond the color scheme. And, frankly, I like the differences. I prefer clip ons and the more aggressive position (simply as it was different than my other bikes). It has a great ride and feels very controlled from that position. The seat height also works well for me. I have a Ninja 400 (starter for my girlfriend) and that bike is quite low...almost too low! So...if someone really likes limited edition and the overall positioning, I would recommend the Moto 2 (if you can find one). However, is it worth the money? i really enjoyed riding this bike, was lucky enough to nab a demo before they all sold out in my hood. such good build quality and having access to full electronics in RRP puts KTM to shame. unfortunately though, i wouldn't describe the RS as untamed and unapologetic which seems like total hyperbole. maybe, if you looked below it's class but the 890 Duke R rides far more aggressive and better suited for that description, especially for street/road use.

I agree they are wonderful and transform the bike but I’ve owned and still own a couple of bikes with rider modes, to be honest, I forget they are there and just leave them in the one mode. So it was Sport mode for the Street Triple, I didn’t really feel the need to change it from there.
