Full logo process please, I'm kinda confuse on save as screen, and also my logo has pixel in 1000x1000 300reso canvas in illustrator
Very well, let's see Paul Allen's card
I can’t give it a thumbs up, I’d mess up the 69 thumbs ups
Yes! I have a college project right now that requires this knowledge! You’re a design psychic right now! Thanks Satori. 👍🤙
Excellent video Tom, could you talk a bit about your printing experience? There are business cards with laminated finishes, jet barnish, corner topping, painted edge, dry stroke, etc.
Thanks for the tips Satori, and just when I needed it! keep up with the great content :)
This is a very useful video, right now I have this work for a company I am working in, I’ll definitely use the tips.
Thanks Satori 👍
Thank you! One of the most useful videos on business cards I’ve ever seen! Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
Glad you enjoyed it, and hello to Austria.
Super helpful tutorial.. thank u for teaching the important things to keep in mind about designing an effective business card... my most recently Designed business card was last year just before the lockdown in March and I used black in front and white at back with yellow scripted logo for a female clothing online shop. I feel that with your today’s tutorial, I can now design better business cards...
Hope next time you nail it then :)
please make a video about designs meant for printing, bleed, marging and such things. Thanks !
Yes, I also wanted to ask about the bleed and trim settings tutorial while setting up the business cards or other print material. Could you please do this? I seem to always struggle with this
I feel like there is a billion tutorials on this topic on youtube
@@MrInsider33 but we want Satori’s tutorial because we immensely trust the guy 😄
The specifics depend on the printer. There are loads of tutorials available, just look for ”how to set up your files for printing” etc.
thanks :) I appreciate you giving us those insights
I just learned about VAS, awesome stuff - thanks!
No problem:)
Great tips, I keep learning with your videos thank you 🙏🏾
Glad to hear that, thanks
Very Helpful video.
Dope video!
You should dedicate a video to printing.
I’ve been in printing for about 7 years now, and bleeds and margins are crucial! It’s so frustrating when this isn’t provided. Worse when the file we get is flattened and we can’t fix it.
Wow, I love these cool tips. one of the best card design tips ever. Love from India 🇮🇳
Thanks Ash, much appreciated
So helpful! I just wish VAS wasn’t so expensive. Seems worth it once I build my business a little more though!
Thank you for this man
Lesson Learnt! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
It's the 'peace' at the end for me
✌
That was insightful.
I think that we designers should get into printing, or at least understand the fundamentals, because online you will see lots of "awesome and unique" business card ideas (like templates that can be bought), but in reality those cards cannot be printed because either it has too many colors or gradients and unnecessary shapes.
But since there's a lot of different types of business cards that can be printed and on different materials, having knowledge about those we can help our clients offeri them different card designs thus charging more.
In whole heartedly agree. Printing isn't as straight forward as most people think. Lots can go wrong
@@SatoriGraphics could you please provide some tips for printing? Thanks
This is so helpful! You really seem to know what we all need to be learning at the exact time 😊🙌🏻 thank you as always for this!
Glad it was helpful, and I guess it'ss just pure coincidence lol
@@SatoriGraphics always is! I don’t know I think you are psychic!😋
Satori you're the best!
This is awesome! 💛💙
cheers my man
@@SatoriGraphics Thanks, man! 😀
very useful tips there..thanks
My pleasure 😊
Perfect ❤️✌🏻
cheers!
Many thanks!
No worries 👍
Good one👍
Thanks ✌️
I’ll def checkout and use VAS thanks for the tips sir. I would suggest not having www. in your web link as its been quite a few years since people have had to type that to get to a website so just think that really dates a promo link when used (just per peeve as no idea why any still use in this day and age).
100% agree with negative space. My business catds have my name, profession, and e-mail. I write my number personally because it makes people feel you're giving them exclusive info.
For sure 👍🏻
Hi Satori I'm in Love with your voice Especially when you say ''bitcoin'' in your past videos ❤❣
I said bitcoin in a recent video lol?
Nice!
Thanks!
Can you please put up a video on how to create these videos especially those when you show the both sides of business card?!
So helpful. Peace
Great to hear!
😍😍😍😍😍😍great
thanks :)
@satori graphics
Your videos are well designed as well. it would be great if you could share your video making process as well. Thank you.
I had a question regarding business cards. What if on one side I want a matte black texture with text written in glossy black? Would that work? How would we go about it?
(As you mentioned) the negative or blank space can be used for writing quick notes by receives then why print cards with BLACK background, how many people Carry White pens ?
UK dimension business cards are actually 85mm x 54mm, but nice video bro
People read from left to right watch stories that run from left to right across the screen . This if you put you picture on the left of your business card facing right you are psychologically reinforcing that you are a growing/active business vs facing the other way and suggesting backwards motion
Thank you for the info. What thickness of cardstock usually ideal? Thanks
mr satori wher i can find your illustrator 2019 classes for beginners? please it was very helpful for me the 81 video was wonderful
Wait, margins of 1/2” from the print edge? So the workable space should actually be 2.5” x 1”? That definitely adds some constraints!
Can I know how did you make animations...??
From which app..??
Thank you so much for your video..
85 x 55mm is standard UK size 👍
I used to think that too, I think it might have changed.. could be wrong though, but I've seen various places saying 88mm now
@@SatoriGraphics Not my experience, I’ve only had one printer ask for 88 by 55 mm . 85 by 55mm has been far more common and consistent. What has changed has been the price. Twenty years ago trade was at least twice as much as what you can get at retail now.
thanks
Welcome
Could you do a video critiquing Real Estate ads?
So, I take it you’re going to be handing out white or silver pens for clients to scribble on your black cards? Great piece of video and I do love the card.
I thought about this too, but I guess the customer will go to the site or call. It's really just an option that can be useful when networking etc.
Very nice, now let's see Paul Allen's business card
I ? Answer: Affinity Designer 😍
Indesign is the best adobe software for print. I’ve never understood why so many designers try to do so much in photoshop. Maybe it’s just familiarity.
Yes that is the main function for InDeign, for laying out print projects. That being said, it would be nice to have the bleed options in Ps anyway. The way Adobe wants you to work is to create any photo-manipulation or digital painting in Ps, and if your print design needs any of those elements, you make them in ps and then bring them over to InDesign, or maybe Illustrator to set up for print. Illustrator is fine for print projects too, if they are not multiple page projects such as brochures.
@@SatoriGraphics Perhaps in the future Adobe may work towards bringing more core features to each of these programs. A bit like what the affinity programs are doing.
@@SatoriGraphics isn't Photoshop pixel based though so it makes sense to use it for images but if you are printing isn't it better for your text and other elements to be vectors? Surely they will print "cleaner" as vectors rather than pixels?
Satori which app did you use to exit and create your video
Hey, where can I find similar images/mockups to the ones you use in your thumbnail please?
UnBlast 👍
What company does everyone use to print their cards?
Should I pick bone or eggshell white?
I am fan of your videos! I love them, because they are very helpful and inspiring. But I get really annoyed when people think that only illustrator exist in the World. Come on guys, half of graphic designers are using illustrator and the other half of designers are using COREL DRAW. which a great competitor to illustrator. Illustrator is Not unique. 😬
Notification squad!
I see you 👀
@@SatoriGraphics yo Satori thanks a lot by the way. I got my first client a while back and your videos have helped me a lot to reach that stage where I can start freelancing. Keep doing what youre doing!
Which program do you use for your video editing?
That would be Adobe After Effects and Davinci Resolve
👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
First to you Joseph
Why Photoshop still doesn't have bleed ? Thank you
I have no idea lol, it's quite crazy
Sad, can't use your promo code anymore 😢
What is vas full meaning? Can you give me the dwld link?
Check the description below 👍
Guys is graphic design a good major? I'm looking for opinions.
I design them almost everyday, in my country its 85 x 55 tho, and the bleed is very important of course never forget that unless you want white margins ruinning your design xD
Also 5k cards are not that expensive unless you are using some premium finish like foil or lamination
I don't understand why PS doesn't have a bleed setup ..
Please Mention the name of the Software used to create your Videos Animation Please
Adobe After Effects
@@SatoriGraphics Thank you for replying
As a graphic designer and digital printing operator.. Rejecting business cards are giving way more headache
What do you mean
@@chillzy6752 I meant. Anything rejected by customer or clients after printing it would be massive headaches and gives you guilty
i thought it was 85mm x 55mm in UK?
Me too, actually.. but on doing more research I've seen a lot of places printing 88mm now
Standard UK business card size is 85mm x 55mm with 3mm bleed. I work in the printing industry.
How strange Abode does not offer the bleed and safe areas, which, to be honest, are basic items when designing things for print. Can you demand a discount ;-)
On Illustrator and InDesign there's bleed if you set it while creating your document, you can even adjust that bleed after.
haha! Yeah like I said it's just Photoshop though, which is very strange
Bleets or Bleed. Is this possible in Canva.
'bleeds' and I don't use Canva so can't say, sorry.
@@SatoriGraphics Its Okay.
Hey, isn't it 85 * 55 ? :)
👀
What about Corel Draw?
I used it once when I was 14 years old in work experience. I'm sure it is fine for those who want to use it though
Is not 85x55 mm instead of 88x55?
Depends where you live
can I use font even I don't have the license on it?
The promo is expired
Don’t be afraid to use QR codes either! You can create QR codes that take users directly to Google reviewing the company or importing their contact information directly their phones!
You must change the translation of the title in French, it literally mean "a card that dont do blowjob" 😂😂 we don't use the word suck in French as we do in English
lol.. I have no real control over that
Wire comment.
no one makes a business card in photoshop
Why the he'll would any do that.
unless people like pixels on their card

Video : making card with PS / Ai
Me : making card in corel

That card tells me zero info on what you do
Pretty basic info. Would have been nice if you were technical.
If you us to create your card, send me a message
Satori you're the best!
