- Celebrating 50 years of Star Trek in style at the Royal Albert Hall in London, with the London Philharmonic Orchestra playing tunes from Star Trek TV series all the way through Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Enterprise and all the movies up to JJ Abrams Star Trek. It was excellent and highly recommended you go see it! More information and 2016 USA tour dates at www.startrekult...
Ok, I've always liked Star Trek but I've always said I'm not a nerdy Star Trek geek. But as soon as soon as Kirk says RIsK, RISK IS OUR BUSINESS and they cue the DS9 theme (at :40) I started bawling my eyes out. CURSE YOU RODDENBERRY! I'M A STAR TREK GEEK!
They really should release this as a bluray, the editing is fantastic.
I would buy it too!!
DS9 is way under represented.
This was a fantastic concert. If you're a fan of Star Trek or of orchestral music you'll love it. If you're a fan of both, it's a no-brainer. It's like a two-hour live trailer for the best of Star Trek. I won't spoil it for those who'll catch the North American tour next year, but the choice of music and imagery with which it goes into the intermission is absolute genius.
I was there, what an awesome show, this was a great reminder :-)
I am jealous. Simple as that.
One of the best tributes ever! I just wish we could have heard the full piece for every track they done. The videos they played on screen were brilliant. Love the bit at 3:00 when Picard gives Wesley a dressing down, brilliant episode! But the best part of the video starts at 5:40. You simply can't beat the theme from First Contact and the video compilation in the background.
HOLLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! This is beautiful what a tribute,
This is coming to Toledo Ohio March 10th 2016,Hope I Can Keep from crying,my eyes out.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Wonderful, huge honor for Gene Roddenberry and the Star Trek universe :-) Thanks Gene
This is one of THE BEST tributes to "Star Trek" that I've ever seen! BRAVO!!
Tears in my eyes, and I'm not even a trekkie.
This was really fantastic but, uh, maybe some more DS9. Especially when you have bits about war or with its music? It was the show that had the most ongoing conflict.
This is breathtaking. Not enough words to show enough appreciation.
I had the honor and privileged to see this last feb. loved every min. I knew every note every video clip. I wish another tour was in progress
Omg! Amazing! I'm so happy that stuff like this happens. And glad I caught this video or I'd have no idea of the tour next year. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful screen work and music to boot. Brought alittle tear to my eye and I stopped before halfway done. So nice.
Great video but in dire need of the Jerry Goldsmith theme!
+Shane O' Laughlin They did do it, I was just enjoying it too much to film it heheh
+Shane O' Loughlin There is a lot of Goldsmith in this! :)
+benandbarry thank god, would've been a deal breaker if they didn't play it.
+Shane O' Loughlin um, the Klingon theme, voyager, first contact themes were all in there.. all jerry. what theme are you referring to? the enterprise theme? later reused for TNG?
So, this comes to my town the week before my birthday.... I think I am going to have to get that day off and treat myself.
Oh my god, I just found your video. Thank you soo much! I travelled from Bremen, Germany to London just to see ST - The Ultimate Voyage and it was just so amazing. I am still getting goosebumps at the thought of it.
I went to this concert last week, it was awesome! Does anybody have the clip with the The Inner Light theme?
I just had a trekgasm ....
brilliant concert.. thanks for sharing a snippet!

This concert looks great. I hope the London Philharmonic Orchestra will bring this concert to Dallas, Texas, USA someday. I would love to see it ore do a special on PBS.
+Terry Marvin Quick Google maps, and they coming to Grand Prairie on 24th March. Book those tickets now ;-)
I wish the footage lined up more with the music itself; the music is amazing but there doesn't seem to be much correlation to the footage used vs what music is playing.
+SB0780 Each segment conveyed a message and the music matched the feeling of the message eg. ST6 was battles 'n baddies and the music matched the action. Was superb concert.
OK cool. I just noticed the DS9 theme and not a single shot from DS9 in the visual montage. I will check it out when it comes to LA.
I'm with you... I thought this might just be the ending where they do all of it at once. Really wish it would have been segmented. :(
I'm going to this event tomorrow night "April 4th." here in Las Vegas.
"The day before First Contact."
Wonderful, smooth editing of some of the best parts of this production :)
Seeing this In Toronto and can't wait! Thanks for this : )
Paying around $200 for that concert in San Jose was worth it, this I will never forget. :')
wonderful!!!!
i have tickets for LA but I'm nervous now. the dialogue is killing it for me. this is about the MUSIC and appreciating the humans playing it live for you. not distracting us with visuals and dialogue montages. this is great music that can stand on its own.
+tertiary7 I know what you mean. I´ve been to London and I ended up listening to the dialogues and reading the subtitles (I am not a native speaker). I could not help it, I did it nearly all the time althought I can understand english quite well.
Going to try and go see it in Grand Prairie, TX! :)
Awesome video. Do you have the entire concert? Could I get a copy?
+Cameron Cooke Nope thats it I'm afraid, but the concert is touring USA in 2016, book now if you're over there , was excellent!
The last part sounded like Erich Kunzel's Cincinnati Pop's version from "Star Tracks" - cool. Not sure I dig the the random visuals for unrelated music. Seems too busy and distracts from the music. I'll still probably see though :D
AWESOME!
Thanks for sharing. I hope this concert will come to Brazil, we have many fans here. Live long and prosper
It is a great dissapointment in my life I missed this. I bought the CD but.....sigh.
I just went to the concert in Clearwater I nearly cried during the Leonard send off.
long live star trek long live space exploration to go to no man has gone before

I don't live in Grand Prairie, Texas. I wish they were coming here in Dallas, Texas, not Grand Prairie.
+Terry Marvin Hehe sorry Google Maps says Dallas and Grand Prairie 20 mins away. Had to go 2hrs for this in UK ;-)
I am going to this Tuesday in Nashville TN.
Was any music form the Original "Series" (as opposed to TOS "Movies") performed?
+Daniel Hill Yes
+Daniel Hill Yes, there was plenty from the TV series music, including many "incidental" themes (the "fight" music from "Amok Time" for example), along with most of the full themes from TOS, Next Generation, Deep-Space 9, Voyager, Enterprise, and each of the six TOS movies. They also did some of the music (and video clips) from the two J.J. Abrams Star Trek "reboot" movies.
SO SO amazing!!!
Hey, can anyone tell me from where the music at 8:11 comes from? It's the only one that I don't recognize and it's driving me insane!
+Tymine Star Trek VI: Undiscovered Country
+benandbarry Yeah I listened to the whole OST before finding it and now I know why I didn't recognize it. It's in the very last part of the ending credits...
