    Embrace the curls. As humans, we always want what we don't have ( I always wanted to be a red hair) but I do believe that natural is always best and it shows that you we are comfortable with ourselves.

      look at the expiration date... and do not eat if it stinks! If it's bad it will have a very nasty stink.

    So this will probably or should say likely be the weakest, most forgettable comment that anyone will see from Natalie's fans on this one 😄 😄 ... but just wanted to acknowledge how more and more her videos have a professional touch on them, now with having the Prep Diaries logo featured at the bottom right corner of her footage. Just really cool and shows how far her channel has come over the last couple of years and so yeah I pay attention to little details like that and just make her success all the more fun to witness. 👍😎 Reaching that iconic status in such a short amount of time. Way to go Natalie. 😊 👏

    Hi Natalie, looking awesome!! Congrats on your progress thus far. So, I am not vegan or vegetarian but I like incorporating meatless meals into my diet quite often. I was always concerned with tofu and other unfermented soy products because of the supposed negative effects of phytoestrogens and whatnot. As you are a full on vegan, What is your take on this?
    I am not afraid of tempeh and I LOVE it!!! I eat it a few times a week! It’s my favorite vegan protein source. Please share some recipes!!!)

    • @NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef
      @NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef  5 років тому

      Hi beautiful
      Thank you so much.
      I have no issues with soy, I've done my research and I feel confident in consuming soy products. I've been vegan for over 6 + years and never experienced any negative side effects.
      Here's a video on the topic of soy: ua-cam.com/video/pUyrtCzXyTs/v-deo.html
      You can also check nutritionfacts.org for more in-depth studies on soy.

    What does your coach mean by conditioning? Does that mean looking more lean? Having more muscle definition?

    • @NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef
      @NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef  5 років тому

      Yes, it's a term we use in competitive bodybuilding. We need to get really shredded/conditioned to appear bigger on stage. It's an illusion. We shred the fat to expose the muscle under. If I get ready early, I'm able to reverse diet into my shows. In the past, that's when I look my best when I'm reversing into shows. Hope that makes sense. I'll explain better on my next video.

    Every time I try to eat tempeh I get terrible bloating from it! Is this just the body getting used to it? Doesn't happen with tofu! Thanks!

    • @NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef
      @NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef  5 років тому

      Sorry to hear that. That's so weird...Tempeh has fiber and is the whole bean vs tofu is made from the soybean milk. Maybe you are a bit sensitive to fiber. I'm not sure why you are ok with one and not the other.

    Is it possible to have high body fat once u turn vegan? I have been vegan for 1 year and the other day at gym I was told I had 29 percent body fat. They said it’s like obese 😑. I gained 15 lbs since I switched. I used to weigh 105 and now 120. How can I fix that? I want to build muscle and burn fat.

    • @NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef
      @NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef  5 років тому

      I'm sorry to hear that...If you gained weight is due to a caloric surplus... It has nothing to do with vegan and everything to do with the amount of food. Try tracking your food so you get an idea of how much you are consuming. To lose BF you need to be in a caloric deficit... A caloric deficit can be created with training, cardio, and adjusting your diet.

      Just personal choice... It's cold now...I rather eat my protein than drink it. Lately, I've been doing a frappuccino drink, but I mainly use protein powders for baking and making pancakes. I go through phases hehe

    Do you press your tofu or just pat it dry?

    • @NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef
      @NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef  5 років тому

      I usually get High protein tofu or sprouted tofu. Which has little to no water content.
      If I get firm tofu I just pat it down of press it for 5 minutes.
