It would make more sense of Palpatine being a rare Human that has a long life span as long as Yodas of 900 years and him being older then Dooku by fifteen years or so but Dooku still being on his radar to work for him in the future be it was a apprentice or otherwise whether Maul fails or not yeah.
Listened to this whole audiobook almost immediately back to back almost a year ago. I just wish James Luceno would make something similar that's canon and aligns better with stuff that has been established. This book mostly could work straight away with canon, but a lot of the Phantom Menace tie-ins start contradicting with Disney content if I recall, especially the parts where Dooku is involved.
Imagine it happened off screen (I know it’s two different continuities but if you’re like me and just make your own up then assume that’s what happened)
This scene takes place before Amidala calls for the vote of no-confidence for Valorum and decides to head back to Naboo. The part where Dooku kills Yaddle and mentions Maul happens after Qui-Qon dies, so he could've easily told about Anakin earlier and it wouldn't contradict anything if this was still canon.
Disney SW and the EU are two separate canons (and the EU is the only real canon). Idk how or why you came to the conclusion that you did. (and there's only one Tales of the Jedi: the comics written by Tom Veitch)
Dooku sounds a reasonable person here. His grievances about the Jedi relation with the Republic are not wrong.
Plaguies totally freaks out when he hears about Anakin. It’s almost hilarious.
If only the Council had Dooku go with Qui-Gon to Naboo. Things could’ve gone much smoother for the Jedi then.
Then the invasion would have been on another planet. The Sith were just waiting for the right moment.
Something about these conversations between Dooku & Palpatine just makes me interested in their relationship development
An absolutely fantastic book.

My favourite Star Wars book.

Disney is trash anyway
Why do you want this book to be a part of Disney SW?
Like what is the point? Just read the EU.
In Tales of the Jedi Qui-Gon, he only mentioned his encounter with Maul in Tatooine, but he or even Yaddle didn't mention Anakin to Dooku!!!

@@_MaZTeR_ Idk why you're trying to make a garbage Disney show fit with an amazing EU novel.
@@RichardHunslet1963 the show isn’t bad if that’s what you’re insinuating
This is Canon for me!
This is the real canon. A pure Star Wars not bound by political agendas.
