- Here is one of several tracks from Studio Jams Episode #52, taped "On The Road" at Regent University's TV production studios in Virginia Beach, Virginia. A fresh, somewhat spontaneous take on the Marvin Gaye classic, "I Heard It Through The Grapevine." It features Peter White on guitar, Mike Cheney on bass, Everette Harp on saxophone, Gregg Karukas on keyboards and, from Hampton Roads, drummer Jae Sinnett. For more on the series, go to www.StudioJams.com.
Everett Harp. I knew I recognize that sound even before I saw him
Sinnett in Session baby! I was just looking for a good jazz cover of this song for my band to learn from and I stumbled upon a local Hampton Roads hero of mine.
Never heard anything so smoooth..never realized this could be softened like this..Two years later l would say..aww.is it really over..thank you everyone from Canada where good jazz is revered..🇨🇦
'lol. you should get out more ....
Everette Harp on alto... sooo gooood.
Love these jam sessions so chilled 👌
Love it. Could listen to this, all day long. : )
Masters of timbral fusion!.. Thx.
I am a hard core Blues player, but doggone it, I love watching Studio Jams and listening to all these Cats playing Jazz. Maybe I'm a Jazz lover without really knowing it. Thank you AceEntertainmentInc for the uploads Happy New Year and hoping for many more uploads to come.
Fender Fan its git the feel of being live, so its already better than if its just the music. Theres something about watching music being played
roots are roots, and jazz has its in blues.
Just a cool soulful groove......
Awesome guys !!!
Everette Harp... really so goooood!!!
Beautiful****, Paulo from Brazil.
Awesomeness!
I haven't heard em all, so far, but this is my favorite, along with superstition. Very nice!
Me encanta lo que se hace en el estudio jams. Tiene como una componente de excelencia ya sea musicalmente como en imagen. Buenisimo !!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE THIS, JUST LOVE IT!!! Peter, my buddy :-) I love to sing this song... now gonna pick up my tenor and see if I can "noodle" along with Mr. Harp!!

Bass player messin up
Jay, you don't like the bass part?
He plays alto too????
Alright now. Platy it.
Starts @2:19
sax needed a solo he would've killed it
You need to STFU
cub670 I agree. One of my favorite saxophonists
So how about the drummer....why is he overlooked?
So you know, this is but one clip from a one-hour episode of the series. None of the musicians, including Jae, were "overlooked" in the episode.
Dont know what genre dont care, its feel good music:-)
Gary Busey on Bass?
No : Mike Cheney.
Buddy Ebsen on guitar.
I think I understand what Jay was trying to say: At 3:13, Mike did a mistake with his bassline (D instead of C#). But he immediately recognises that he's done something wrong and corrects himself. I guess that's why he looks so weird at this particular moment... ;)
But I have to agree with Ava: GREAT JAMSESSION! I JUST LOVE IT!!! :)
STFU and enjoy
This is the DEVIL'S MUSIC!
drums were really dry on this..
Your brain is dry...shut up and enjoy
Whaleform i wouldve liked a sax and a drum solo
