Just a question bit confused with the start of the process, before you remove the brake chamber, do you want the brakes released or applied? I was told that you should drain the tanks and then cage the chamber is this correct?
No locking nut. And that’s why you can’t use a universal chamber for a welded clevis.The rod will turn. Also looks like you have over 1/8 inch of thread sticking out past clevis. Maybe you shouldn’t tell people things that you don’t know how to do. Bendix has some great videos that might help you do things right.

Brake's should be engaged. When engaged the air in the tanks does not matter

Anywhere they sell Brake Chambers, Fleetpride, Utility Freightliner etc...
