Hi Phil, re the fry net - I used one in my pond this year when I bought 3 smaller fish that I didn't want to dissapear up the skimmer, plus I wanted to give them a few weeks of not having to compete for food with the others. I found that although it was a metre square, the sides got pushed in by the flow in my pond therefore restricting the space they had. Also found that their poo accumulated at the bottom of the net and was difficult to remove, that said my mesh does look a lot finer than yours. All in all I'd say, it worked well for the 10 or so weeks I had them in there but probably wouldn't want them in there any longer due to the reduced amount of exercise space.

Hate it when I have to but the winter covers on. Where did you order your glass from for your jump guards 👍
Hi Andrew🖐. Glass is from Dudley’s Glass in Telford (about 5 mins from my house). Cost me £250 and they also provided the clamps (£4.50 each if I remember correctly). Probably cheaper out there but I wanted solid fittings rather than the pressed steel stuff you can get off eBay. I’m very happy with the end result 😊👍
Time of the year again. Ive just put mine up. Feel that i have just taken them down. Did we have a summer then? 😂 .
If we had a summer I must have blinked and missed it☹️. These covers will do for this year but plan is to enclose the pond similar to yours for next year😊👍
@TelfordKoiPond yeah same here. Must have missed it 😅 is it really practical and you can see your fish from the filter house ☺️
It's going to cost to do the roof and the 3 sides. But honestly it's worth it Phil. You won't regret it.
Crap time of year with our covers going back on Phil 😢, them darn slugs manage to get everywhere, the thought of touching one 🤢
