- This video shows me setting up a Quarantine tank I ended up not using it as the weather dropped in temperature too much but when the weather picks up a bit it will be very useful for getting the fry a bit of sun

Rubber boots Rubber boots.
They're called Band Seal Cuplin's.
Designed for underground pipe joints.
When it's not possible to use a slip collar normally when connecting plastic to salt glazed/stone pipes

Great idea on rubber booting the BD airline. Gonna save many major headaches down the road.
I've done all that because the tank wont be staying there it will probably move around from time to time as I change what i need it for. To say I refused to weld anything its actually all gone together pretty well with no leaks even the pipe that did leak stopped after an hour so i never changed it 🙂

All looking great , Oooo 🤔 great set up but carefull mate? I fitted a rubber boot on my 2” bottom drain and it worked just fine for a while! Until I heated it, obviously it expanded the rubber boot and it shot off? Luckily I was at home and court it ! But I did have to solvent welt it in the end. It’s solid now. 😉👍🐣 happy Easter. I know I did the exact same thing on my main pond when i heated it up and cooled it down a rubber stop cap blew off the shower filter in the basement if i wasnt stop in the garden it could have been a right mess. Happy Easter to you too 🙂

What’s the liters per our on your quarantine tank?
I have the opportunity to buy a nexus 220 for $500 I am thinking that it a good deal? only thing is there is no center part to it in your video time stamp 10:16 the stainless steal part that the black pvc tube is touching is that an important piece? I can tell you it is very expensive to buy new. also the new pond I am starting on is an outdoors pond what are your thoughts on a bottom drain versus skimmer

@Adam Julyan, now, throw in some culled shrimp (Low quality) and a Crayfish or two. Before introducing koi. See how that bottom drain will deal with them! *cough* Sorry, stupid idea.
Id quite like to have a tank full of crayfish or something like that i think it would be cool 🙂
