- Blue Crabbing, in this video we'll be in Pascagoula Mississippi catching blue crabs using ring traps and handlines. We'll be crabbing off a pier and a dock. On our first pull with a ring trap we had a surprise catching a legal size Flounder and a large blue crab. We spent the rest of the day catching good size blue crabs on our ring traps and handlines ending up with14 nice blue crabs. It was our last day so we decided to cook the crabs and ice them down with the flounder and take them to our trailer the next day. When we arrived at trailer I filleted the flounder and we picked some crabs to make delicious Stuffed Flounder. I don’t think the crabs give a crab 😉 about the smelly chicken. Love you two always look forward to my Friday night bedtime story. The best old couple ever ( besides my wife and I ) 😅😅😅. Joyce you need to write a cookbook.
It doesn't seem to make a difference using fresh chicken or smelly. Thanks for Watching
I like using saltines for crabcakes as you don't have to add any additional salt. I use ten saltines to a pound of crabmeat and I use a rolling pin to crush them but after I put them in a sealed sandwich bag.
That's similar to how Joyce makes them most of the time when she's not experimenting with a new recipe lol. Thanks again for Watching

Glad I stumbled upon your channel. You two are awesome! We are about to go to Biloxi to visit our son at the AFB and I went to check on you tube if there are crabs in Mississippi. Hope we catch a couple when we go in July. By the way, we also caught a flounder in our crab trap when we went crabbing in St. Simons island in Georgia. It was so delish!

You can catch flounder on thick sliced bacon
When I lived in New Jersey I caught them on a piece of white rag then I would cut the white belly in strips for bait. There were a lot of flounders back then, over 50 years ago. Thanks for Watching
Looks lovely but really don't like the old bay seasoning,,what else could I use pls
You can use Tony Chachere's Seasoning, it's pretty good. Sometimes just water and salt is used, we've done that before and maybe add some garlic. If you don't like seasoning just the water and a little salt is fine then you just taste the crab. When we were in Oregon catching Dungeness crabs we cooked them in water right out of the ocean, that's how they cook them out there. Thanks for Watching

Walker arrived Saturday via C-section and promptly pooped all over the doctor. 8 lb 8 oz beautiful, perfect baby boy. Born in St. Augustine and gonna be a real Florida Boy. Hunting and fishing and crabbing. For sure.

Unsuccessful crabbing today at Keesler AFB Marina. I might swing by Ocean Springs to buy crabs off the boat slips.
You never know when they'll be there. Ocean Springs has some good crabbing but like all the other spots the crabs has to be there when you're there. Thanks again for Watching
