5 reasons why Disturbed deserves serious respect. One of the only metal bands ever to have 5 number one albums in a row! 5=5... Disturbed is now one of only three acts to manage the feat, following Dave Matthews Band and fellow rockers Metallica.
jmt1000 As usual when you are using social media as a platform to voice an opinion things are either going to get taken out of context, or people will read what they like into a statement. After making my remark that was mostly just a shout out to a great band and pointing out that they're one of only 2 "Metal" bands to hit that mark. I knew right away people would be put off by it for the most part and that's alright. Being a musician personally, I know all to well that comments are hit and miss. Try not to read too much into my initial opinion. It was mostly tongue and cheek..
jmt1000 Obviously justin bieber, one direction, taylor swift do in fact have talent, they can sing and play instruments, it's just I don't like there music style that's all. Same with Disturbed, they have talent, people like them, but I don't like them because I don't like there style and that they are way too overrated. Have a nice day jmt1000.
the thing about Justin bieber, taylor swift and one direction are that they were cash cows established by record labels for one purpose: to make money. the record labels made sure they were bankable (auto tune if needed) and had catchy singles. the record labels set them up for success and made sure their albums hit number one or at least hit high on the charts. Metal artists seem to be more willing to tell their record labels to more or less fuck off (some have gone independent) Tools a good example. Would any other band be allowed to take such a long hiatus between albums?
Disturbed has a lot of casual fans. along with Rammstein and Metallica they are always played at the gyms of the world. As an ambassador for metal, they serve an important role. If Disturbed is your cup of tea. Its easy to get into Slipknot. And then its easy to go further down the rabbit hole of metal. Their cover of Land of confusion was a great get to know track. And turning generic 80s rock into decent music with some punch works for me.
+Procrastinator Well if you confront it with the Peter Gabriel Genesis yeah it became kinda generic. Don't get me wrong Phil Collin's Genesis are awesome, but with Peter Gabriel it was masterpiece
+DWMCrasher98 Peter Gabriel is crazy (in a good manner), he never ceased to experiment in music. I agree I like Phil and all but I agree with you on that. But still, saying that Disturbed made it so much better that their cover makes Genesis' piece sound generic, it's absurd.
"This band sucks. Their music sounds the same!" "This album sucks. They need to go back their style during their first album." Welcome to the metal community, ladies and gentlemen.
Reminds me of how my brother acted when Linkin Park went more electronic. I didn't see the bug deal with that. They always heavily mixed different styles of music I don't see how that's selling out. That is taking a risk.
I actually like modern linkin park more. I loved them when I first bought hybrid theory but I really like how they've evolved. They seem more mature rather than just putting out the same teen angsty songs that made them famous (which they could've done)
I've been a metalhead since I was a kid in 1986. Whether it be Metallica, megadeth,Iron Maiden,Motörhead, and now av7,slipknot,and Marilyn Manson. Disturbed is a metal band. Bar none. I care not who says what.

Disturbed is my all time favorite metal band, but a large part of that has to do with nostalgia. Personally I think their first two albums were unique, the ones after however do all blend the same sound (a sound I love nonetheless) their newest albums though are pretty disappointed and it’s because of Immortalized and the upcoming Evolution that I think they belong in the hard rock category. Once again though, their older music is what brings them into a heavy metal category. As for his voice, I personally think he has one of the best I’ve heard, but I know I have an odd taste and I can see how many don’t agree. All of these points are very valid but I love the band nonetheless
I don't hate Disturbed,I love the band and their music. Hell,I can even like "The Sound Of Silence" cover they did but what I hated was the idea that their "The Sound Of Silence" cover song was so overexposed,so commercialized and it pretty much overshadowed the entire Immortalized album. I mean, when you hear the band Disturbed come up in a conversation or discussion all you would mostly hear talk about is that damn cover song by Simon & Garfunkel they did. Hopefully we can finally move on from it to their upcoming album where I hope they don't do another song or cover someone else's where it again overshadows the entire album and we have to suffer through another round of this crap again.
I can enjoy Disturbed in single format. I usually really vibe with the hits. Really hard to get through a whole album however, because it is indeed very repetitive and it's just too much doses of cheesy lyrics, repetitive vocal lines and generic riffs in a short amount of time. So to me, they're passable at the very least. They were a big gateway band for me so i'll give them that.
"The Sickness" and "Ten Thousand Fists" are really good albums, but I agree the rest of the albums have their share of clunkers. Out of their 7 albums there are about enough good songs to make 4 good albums.
I enjoyed Disturbed since I've gotten into them and the song "Down With The Sickness" was the first song that got me into this band. Even though, The Sickness their debut album sounds a little different than most of their later albums came after that because the album had a couple of electronic/industrial effects on this disc. I have 'The Sickness' album from Disturbed although, the profanity was muted on this record which, I don't mind the cursing that David Draiman says in some of the songs. I also got 'Immortalized' album for Christmas last year and I still enjoyed as much from listening this album from start to finish. I know there's been a lot of controversy on the single "Fire It Up" which people might find it confusing that the song talks about smoking weed when ever you see the lyric video. That track probably won't be a winner for most people but I think it's an okay track for me. I don't want people telling me Disturbed shouldn't cover things that they've done like "Shout", "Land Of Confusion", "Living After Midnight" and " The Sound Of Silence" which I think those covers were fantastic in my opinion.
I actually feel that David Draiman's voice actually has some depth to it, especially considering that some of the band's role models are from the NWOBHM movement. In fact, I feel that "Sound of Silence" is a perfect example of how versatile he is as a vocalist. He may not be Rob Halford, but nonetheless, he's still great at what he does...now about those metal things on his chin :-/
I went back to listen to Disturbed's early albums. I don't like to be that elitist group that calls people "posers" and whatnot. But I really, didn't like the vocal style. A lot of their vocals seem to be delivered in a chuggy monotonous manner. And I guess I just don't really resonate with their music as much as I used to several years ago.
Personally I've always loved David's voice, one of my all time favourites. He goes with the same tone in a lot of the songs but he is very talented and unique. I've listened to all their songs, multiple times, and I can't say I've gotten bored of them or anything. I never understood the 'their songs all sound the same' argument; I would understand that every song in an album might sound the same, but each album has a different flavour honestly. They're one of the few bands that I can listen to all their work on not skip past more than a handful of songs; for the vast majority of their work, a lot of time and effort has been put into these songs. Lots of non-singles that would work strongly as singles, lots of unique ideas for song meanings... this band is just my cup of tea.
I can say the number one reason I love Disturbed is because of all their live tracks and concerts they sound almost 1:1 with their studio albums. David can carry his voice live or in a study so damn well and loads of metal bands, even those that I like more, simply can't. To hear him use the same vocal mannerisms for a song like the vengeful one no problem just shows how talented he is, and the rest of the band is no slouch given they all sound amazing too. One of the few bands I genuinely want to watch live because of their sound, rather than the novelty.
Of course Disturbed is Metal...just not Nu Metal after the sickness.. even Down With The Sickness on that album actually isn't Nu Metal it's straight up Heavy Metal basically anything after the sickness is either alternative metal or heavy metal
Personally, Disturbed is the first metal band that I've ever listened too. Call me someone with 'a lack of taste' but I don't have a serious problem with any of their songs.
I can listen to their old album over and over again....the rest of their music can die in a car fire. the first album was pretty enjoyable though, especially for people like me who weren't into rock or metal before Disturbed.
It doesn't matter what haters think it's not for everybody! This is my favorite band by a landslide, love every song except the sound of silence it's just not my cup of tea. 20 years and still kicking ass !
I have heard these reasons before and it seems like really petty reasons to dislike them but then again I am a big disturbed fan so I can't say much. They were my first concert ever and for that they will always have a special place in my heart
+Neal Crabtree i'm just glad they are playing more from the sickness on their live shows, it adds more variety to the shows and it probably made it better
Could you make a video called: "5 obvious reasons people hate this specific band because they are probably the same 5 reasons people hate this other specific band"?
I'm an Old Fuck. I have heard this "Sound the same" argument about, Led Zeppelin, Motorhead, AC/DC...... If you are a fan of Rock, Metal, Country, whatever, just listen to what you want. That's what Metal Heads have done since the 60's. WE wanted freedom to listen to what we want. We are the ones that not supposed to give a fuck what people thought.
I do agree that some of their material does sound similar, it shows that they have a comfort zone and that they are fine with it. And for the record, Disturbed is not that bad, but there are bands that are better
I like Down with the sickness, 10000 fists, sons of plunder, stricken, inside the fire and indestructible. Every song outside of these tracks sound the same to me. Like Linkin Park and Nickleback, they seem to stick to a template for their songs. Godsmack and SOAD are more creative IMO
I think they are at least heavy metal compared to how earlier metal bands, compared to music of today, would come off as hardrock to somebody new to them.
i really cant see why someone would call them a favorite band.. their sound is just so "clean" and well shaped, nothing rocking or metal-feeling about it. its just a band that gets you into metal and rock, then you usually drop them when you realize that there is better stuff out there.
Biggest complaint I have heard about them is that their covers are better than their original material. I personally like them. At least used to, up through Indestructible, then they started slipping for me. They were my gateway to metal though, and i like how if i hear any song of theirs, i can name the album it's from even if not the song itself. Their albums each had a different feel to me. For better or worse.
I don't hate disturbed, I listened to them in my teenagers years but if I look at them as a whole, they haven't grown much musically and there are way better bands out there anyway.
I love Disturbed. I know they aren't too impressive, David used to have a problem with continuously running his mouth, and they aren't very heavy especially now, but I still love them. Regardless of all of that. They're one of my favorite bands. I love his voice and I think it's fantastic as well.
I would love to see a "5 Reasons people hate Sevendust." I can't think of a band, at least in my social circle, that better fits the idea of people either live them or hate them.
As a Disturbed fan myself, I feel that I have to agree that they are indeed a fairly generic band. The very lack of guitar solos in the majority of their records really makes them feel a lot more stale than they really are. But, despite this, they're still an amazing band, and they're heavy as fuck. If they could just throw in a few more solos during the break downs instead of a random vocal rap (Draiman is amazing, but his friggin vocal break downs are getting old), then they'd really stand out as a band more and probably be somewhere in the same league as, say.... Avenged Sevenfold. And A7x, I feel, are the main rock/metal group carrying the torch these days for the genre of heavy metal, so they've earned the right to be called a band that's just under bands like Maiden, Metallica, and Megadeth in terms of how powerful they are as a group.
they only started becoming generic when immortalized came out but when they first got popular they were definitely more unique then the other shitty music that's out there.
I dislike Disturbed's music, but they only really began to rub me up the wrong way learning about their beef with The Dillinger Escape Plan. Everything seemed as if they were a bunch of self entitled assholes that believed their fame made them more knowledgeable with a more relevant input than bands which aren't as popular. Worst of all they chose to display this on a band with 100X the talent they'll ever have.
I'm with you on point 5. I've only had positive experiences with Disturbed fans. I guess I can see where point 4 comes from, but that definitely was not the only great song from Immortalized. Point 3: does it really matter? I've always considered them Heavy Metal. It honestly just depends on what your definition of "Heavy Metal" is. Point 2: This is where I disagree. Each album definitely have their own sounds. You can play a random song and I could tell you which album it's from. Not due to memorization, but because of the sounds. I could maybe see this lyrically, but definitely not instrumentally. Point 1: Yea, I can definitely see this.
As a Disturbed fan, I totally agree with everything on this list. Even though I love every Disturbed record minus Immortalized, I do agree every record is similar in style as each other (except songs). But seriously, Disturbed fans literally piss and moan about everything under the sun as much as Black Veil Brides fans do. Another thing I feel to add to the table is Immortalized was probably the biggest disappointment I've ever felt in my life. The whole record felt they were trying to make Indestructible 2.0 and failed miserably. The Light, Fire It Up, Immortalized, Who, Open Your Eyes, and Who Taught You How To Hate are awful. The only songs I liked were the bonus songs which are Tyrant, Legion of Monsters, and The Brave and The Bold. I just hate the new record with a burning passion. Most of the material is just moderate, boring, stereotypical, and lame. Also mind you this is coming from a fan of 9 years.
The thing I hate most about Disturbed is David Dreyman. His voice is headache inducing. There's a parody video "Distubed's Greatest Hit". It was pretty spot on. I have no problem with cheesy lyrics, it takes me back to my edgy teen years. Also "Owahahaha! Oick! Oick!"... Seriously, that shit wasn't even cool when it was new. But the album art to 10000 fists was cool. Good job by Todd McFarlane.
I enjoy Disturbed. Down With The Sickness was the first song I heard from them and I loved it. I love The Vengeful One. I never listen to Simon and Garfunkel, but I will say this, I love the song called Father And Daughter by Paul Simon from The Wild Thornberry's Movie. I like Disturbed's version anyway. My all time favorite Disturbed song is A Welcome Burden and I have that song on the Dracula 2000 soundtrack. Other songs from Disturbed are awesome. Rock on, Disturbed.
i never really could get into disturbed i just didnt see the appeal. mostly that drove me away was the fans. usually when im at work listening to slayer, as i lay dying or unearth i always end up getting a frat boy looking guy asking me if i listen to distubed or five finger death punch, and i usually just give a simple no.
I love Disturbed but if you think about it every band the size of Disturbed or a little a smaller or bigger you'll find that every band has annoying fans
Been A Huge Fan of Disturbed Since I was a kid, Huge fan my whole life, Got their Logo Tattoo'd on my hand, after 20 years I still loved Disturbed, I'm so glad you made this video, I now realize I was wrong. These fans you speak of are something i cannot be associated with anymore. They did A Cover song ? What respectable group or artist would do such a thing. I always thought Disturbed was Just Metal, I don't Like rock bands so this is tricky, if they're lying and are really metal then it's cool cause I like metal but they lied so now I can't respect them. And now that the video mentioned it, there songs do sound simular, I basically was listening to their song Mine on repeat for a few years, I decided to listen to another song and it sounded equally bad ass, but that's not what I'm looking for. David actually complained about things like the music industry and metal industry ? I really hate people who complain, If i hear someone complaining I like to type very long sentences with bad grammer. And to top it off I never knew his voice was terrible, I only know the name David Draiman out of all the band mates, guess it's cause his voice subconsciously Annoyed the hell outta me. Thank you for waking me up, I will like this video for the inspiration and inner strength it gives me when im going through hard times in life. P.s OOOW WAH AH AH AH !!!
I agreed with most of your list but you forgot to mention one thing, Disturbed SUCKS LIVE, Not so much the band because they are pretty tight live but David Draimen is one of the Laziest Rock/Metal singers I have ever seen Live (I've seen them three times since 2000)...He talks most of his lyrics and if anyone happened to watch them Live at Rock Am Ring this year, He even went so far as to start fucking QUACKING during "Voices" (not even kidding, Go look it up)...I guess you could lump this in with your number 1 reason but I feel personally that this should have been number 1 all by itself...For me Disturbed is a good studio band but that's about it
s0ccer96 Guy, First Off I have seen Disturbed LIVE three Times in person, All three times they Opened for good bands and all three times they were terrible...The last time they Toured with Korn (2013 I believe) they were rotating headliners... here at Mohegan sun in CT Disturbed was the headliner so We traveled to Portland Maine Because we would much rather seen Korn close the show any day of the week, but each time I see a band I try to keep an open mind, I realize that all bands have bad shows but Disturbed was already 0 for 2 with me already...The show was Sevendust, Disturbed and Korn and without a doubt Sevendust and Korn made the show and Disturbed just kind of " Did their Thing" Maybe you haven't seen many shows in your life, Or maybe David Draimen decided not to be a lazy loser with no stage presence the last time you saw them in March, But don't fuckin sit here and act like I am just making assumptions off of youtube videos...I have been to hundreds of shows in my life and without a doubt Disturbed is one of the worst i have ever seen..If that is your thing then thats cool too man....I would just recommend seeing better bands instead lol Peace
+tes420 those were mostly due to bad mixing like at rock am ring and yes they have been pretty bad a couple of times but to call them bad live in general is wrong considering they were great when they played live on the Conan O, Brian show.
i think some songs of Disturbed are really closer to rock then others are closer to metal. Actually lot of bands do experiment like that ...Is ''Nothing Else Matters'' from Metallica a rock ballad or a metal ballad? And how do you really separate Hard Rock from Metal? ''Them Bones'' from Alice in Chains sounds like metal and not grunge at all. The Exploited - considered to be a punk rock band, but some of their songs can easily match early Slayer songs
i fell out of love qith disturbed when i saw them headlining with avenged sevenfold on the 2008 or 9 mayhem tour. it wasnt david draimans voice being as it was, but it was his ability to sing live. i was far from impressed when disturbed took the stage and he started singing asylum. thats just my experience, and i can admit hes cleaned up his act a bit in recent years and sounds more decent livex however i feel he will always be a phenomenal studio singer and will always suffer as a live singer
I dont hate Disturbed but im not a big fan either. Everything sounds exactly the same but I much rather listen to them than some other bands. I respect them as musiciansl
a lot of Disturbeds songs are highly political. So of course they cover songs like Land of Confusion and The sound of silence. Also, as far as i can tell ...David Draiman seems like a really cool dude. (except for his long ass speeches when he was younger) As well hes a professional vocalist. Of course he doesn't sing like fucking Beyonce or some shit. But his live shows are perfect. He sings smart...he knows when and where to throw out the vocal distortion so he doesn't wreck his voice.
If you enjoy the music, it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks. Listen to what you want to hear. If you don't like it then don't listen to them. It's that simple.
agree
Even though it's a concept so simple, a lot of metal fans just can't seem to grasp it for some reason.
+Creepy_Chris fans in general really
Except if they're Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria. They're not real metal, only Tiny Tim and Louis Armstrong are metal.
+Akalioun OFFICIAL BVB and AA aren't even metal so
Disturbed was the band along with metallica that got me into metal an no matter how mainstream i never get tired of listening to their songs
Same
Disturbed actually got me into Metallica which got me into the rest of the big four and then through pantera and now Tool lol
Metallica was the first and only metal band I listened to for years before I branched out and looked at Disturbed and A7X
Same, The Sickness is a heavy album what ever way you slice it. I wish they had stuck with that formula.
metallica writes ballads tho
5 reasons why Disturbed deserves serious respect. One of the only metal bands ever to have 5 number one albums in a row! 5=5... Disturbed is now one of only three acts to manage the feat, following Dave Matthews Band and fellow rockers Metallica.

What about underrated bands that actually have talent? In my opinion, record sales, hitting number one on the charts is silly.

I guess you could think so since you are obviously listening with a worn out brain.

I consider Disturbed as part of the big trio of good Nu Metal (Disturbed, Slipknot and System of a Down)
What are you smoking: Big four of good Nu-metal (Those three + Deftones). You could throw in Godsmack if Deftones aren't nu-metal enough for you.
W8 m8 wers the nuu metel God Limp Bizkut? M8 iv u hevent hurd of dem den wuts wrung wid u m8
Christian McGuire I was going to include Linkin Park as part of the big 4 but they don't do metal anymore and I considered Korn too.
Godsmack is great nu metal too , "I stand alone" is awesome
***** I guess Godsmack could be part of the Big 4 of Good Nu Metal but do they still make or perform music?
I went back to listen to Disturbed's early albums. I don't like to be that elitist group that calls people "posers" and whatnot. But I really, didn't like the vocal style. A lot of their vocals seem to be delivered in a chuggy monotonous manner. And I guess I just don't really resonate with their music as much as I used to several years ago.
Well metallica is fucking garbage and yet noone mentions it
If your watching 2019 there new album evolution is a good album
anybody else sick of the background music on CKN videos?
Guy: Is Disturbed Heavy Metal or Hard Rock?
Me: Dude why not both because they're just that good?
Awesome Ness
another guy walks by: How about metal rock?
5 Reasons People Hate Dragonforce that would be a good one I think
5 reasons why people hate country music
I can say the number one reason I love Disturbed is because of all their live tracks and concerts they sound almost 1:1 with their studio albums. David can carry his voice live or in a study so damn well and loads of metal bands, even those that I like more, simply can't. To hear him use the same vocal mannerisms for a song like the vengeful one no problem just shows how talented he is, and the rest of the band is no slouch given they all sound amazing too. One of the few bands I genuinely want to watch live because of their sound, rather than the novelty.
Hahaha the new employees of crayola!!
If disturbed making a cover when they came back is so bad so why did simon himself love the song
Disturbed is Numetal which is why it is garbage. That being said it's one of the best bands in Numetal. Which isn't saying much
Why are their covers singles at all? A cover should be a bonus track, not a single, and certainly not the only song off an album that gets radio play
I'm pretty sure they released Sound of Silence as a single, after it became the most popular song of Immortalized.
Who the hell hates Disturbed??? They're one of the greatest bands of all times!
Of course Disturbed is Metal...just not Nu Metal after the sickness.. even Down With The Sickness on that album actually isn't Nu Metal it's straight up Heavy Metal
basically anything after the sickness is either alternative metal or heavy metal
Personally, Disturbed is the first metal band that I've ever listened too. Call me someone with 'a lack of taste' but I don't have a serious problem with any of their songs.
I don't know why people have to hate on a band I mean you can dislike like a band but hate is a pretty strong word.
My buddies dad introduced me to disturbed, and I bought a CD a couple days ago and the guy at the register went "distuuuuurbed"
Ryan Elgie What happened afterwards though I'm kinda intrigued lmao
What's odd about me is that I used to like Disturbed until I got bored, and David's voice is one of the few things I still like.
How does one get bored of a band they like? That has never happened to me.
5 reasons why people hate MEAT LOAF.
oh, and please share the name of the background music....
You just got a new subscriber!! Hooray!!!
I don't care what genre people wanna call it. All I know is I like the music so therefore I listen.
I can listen to their old album over and over again....the rest of their music can die in a car fire. the first album was pretty enjoyable though, especially for people like me who weren't into rock or metal before Disturbed.
The humiliating 2edgy4me "no mommy" section of DWTS
King Diamond stood his ground with his sound over all these years and that’s what disturbed is doing as well. It’s all metal and we should embrace it.
Although I do agree that they can be repetitive
sad when 3/4 of their hits are covers and even their live shows feature 2-4 covers.
+Neal Crabtree i'm just glad they are playing more from the sickness on their live shows, it adds more variety to the shows and it probably made it better
Could you make a video called: "5 obvious reasons people hate this specific band because they are probably the same 5 reasons people hate this other specific band"?
disturbed rocks, they always will.
They are over play songs on the radio
I'm an Old Fuck. I have heard this "Sound the same" argument about, Led Zeppelin, Motorhead, AC/DC...... If you are a fan of Rock, Metal, Country, whatever, just listen to what you want. That's what Metal Heads have done since the 60's. WE wanted freedom to listen to what we want. We are the ones that not supposed to give a fuck what people thought.
Listened to Disturb makes me want to fight, drive fast and work out.
One of mhy friends genuinely said Disturbed cover of Sound of Silence is better than original
I hate people sometimes
5 reason why people hate 5 seconds of summer
"When i was a tiny coverkillernation" XDDDDDDDD
I think they are at least heavy metal compared to how earlier metal bands, compared to music of today, would come off as hardrock to somebody new to them.
i really cant see why someone would call them a favorite band.. their sound is just so "clean" and well shaped, nothing rocking or metal-feeling about it. its just a band that gets you into metal and rock, then you usually drop them when you realize that there is better stuff out there.
Personally think Disturbed is the best "mainstream" US festival headlining band
I personally prefer Godsmack over Disturbed, but I will give them props for Draiman being an excellent frontman.
I'm still a huge fan of Disturbed & I'm an Adult.
1. Yay I'm first 2. Disturbed gets too much praise
Complete dogshit sellouts
Disturbed. The newest employees at Crayola!
I have two ideas:
5 reasons people hate dream theater (just curious really, I like dream theater)
5 reasons people hate dragonforce
Who tf hates Disturbed? I know they are popular but i’ve never heard anyone say they hate Disturbed
Yeah, Disturbed sucks! Dillinger rules!
i like as a band for there music not for them as people, like mj his music is epic, i dont care about the things he dos.
5 Reasons People Hate Mushroomhead would be really cool
Music store?
Generic mainstream metal
Isn't Avenged Sevenfold also somewhat disliked because "they're hard rock, not metal"?
I like Disturbed but I'm just not into their remakes, but they still make it work.
I love Disturbed but if you think about it every band the size of Disturbed or a little a smaller or bigger you'll find that every band has annoying fans
dude, listen to inside the fire! It's my favourite song and I think you'll enjoy it if you don't see songs differently with music videos.
I agreed with most of your list but you forgot to mention one thing, Disturbed SUCKS LIVE, Not so much the band because they are pretty tight live but David Draimen is one of the Laziest Rock/Metal singers I have ever seen Live (I've seen them three times since 2000)...He talks most of his lyrics and if anyone happened to watch them Live at Rock Am Ring this year, He even went so far as to start fucking QUACKING during "Voices" (not even kidding, Go look it up)...I guess you could lump this in with your number 1 reason but I feel personally that this should have been number 1 all by itself...For me Disturbed is a good studio band but that's about it
Sounds like David Draimen isn't all he's QWACKED up to be.
*****
LOL
s0ccer96
Guy, First Off I have seen Disturbed LIVE three Times in person, All three times they Opened for good bands and all three times they were terrible...The last time they Toured with Korn (2013 I believe) they were rotating headliners... here at Mohegan sun in CT Disturbed was the headliner so We traveled to Portland Maine Because we would much rather seen Korn close the show any day of the week, but each time I see a band I try to keep an open mind, I realize that all bands have bad shows but Disturbed was already 0 for 2 with me already...The show was Sevendust, Disturbed and Korn and without a doubt Sevendust and Korn made the show and Disturbed just kind of " Did their Thing"
Maybe you haven't seen many shows in your life, Or maybe David Draimen decided not to be a lazy loser with no stage presence the last time you saw them in March, But don't fuckin sit here and act like I am just making assumptions off of youtube videos...I have been to hundreds of shows in my life and without a doubt Disturbed is one of the worst i have ever seen..If that is your thing then thats cool too man....I would just recommend seeing better bands instead lol
Peace
+tes420 those were mostly due to bad mixing like at rock am ring and yes they have been pretty bad a couple of times but to call them bad live in general is wrong considering they were great when they played live on the Conan O, Brian show.
I saw them live in Noblesville Indy a few weeks back. To me Draimen is better live then on his albums.
the puns are perfect 😂😂😂😂😂
why do people love categorisation so much, it's really quite aggravating.
Love the no shit attitude bro!
5 reasons why people hate Godsmack
i think some songs of Disturbed are really closer to rock then others are closer to metal. The Exploited - considered to be a punk rock band, but some of their songs can easily match early Slayer songs
check your mic and bring up your audio. and please get rid of the guitar background noise. thank you.
i fell out of love qith disturbed when i saw them headlining with avenged sevenfold on the 2008 or 9 mayhem tour. it wasnt david draimans voice being as it was, but it was his ability to sing live. i was far from impressed when disturbed took the stage and he started singing asylum. thats just my experience, and i can admit hes cleaned up his act a bit in recent years and sounds more decent livex however i feel he will always be a phenomenal studio singer and will always suffer as a live singer
I dont hate Disturbed but im not a big fan either. Everything sounds exactly the same but I much rather listen to them than some other bands. I respect them as musiciansl
I like these videos and all, but you could bring back the "what if" videos? Or have you ran out of ideas for those?
How many people thought Maroon 5 was gonna be a rock band, then they became.....................Maroon 5.
a lot of Disturbeds songs are highly political. He sings smart...he knows when and where to throw out the vocal distortion so he doesn't wreck his voice.
why doesn't this channel have more subscribers?
