In my point of view...old man complaint was to show us how the police officer is taking the case seriously only for the rich people...whereas if the guy is poor like this old man means the case will not be taken seriously......so this is my understanding from this short film...overall movie was neat background music well suited..👌all the best for future films bro👍

why the old man gave a complaint? The old man never wanted to hurt the boy all he wanted was to make the boy understand his mistake and he uses/shows the weapons to fear him and make him understand the value of life. he gives the complaint saying that his wife was missing just to make sure that the boy is not convicted for killing(if the old man had given complaint against him saying that he killed his wife there is a chance that he would be produced to court and found guilty and Loses his life which the old man never wanted to happen) and he realizes his mistake, finally the police kills the old man even though the complaint was not given officially. This can be considered as an open-ended climax where there is a probability that a new case starts from there against the police and finally, the boy is convicted or the body of the old man might be buried and everything goes normal due to the power of people with money(Capitalism - where the rich only gets all the benefits from the government) . and I liked the voice over situated when the boy was walking this didn't make me feel bad but yes it would have been more good if it is just said face to face I am not sure about it. I agree with the culmination factor in the last scene but in my opinion, that didn't bother me as an audience much. I would only agree with the fact that the acting would have been done even better by other actors and other than that the film was completely satisfactory and I don't know why Vetrimaran sir was able to understand it, it is natural with new directors to feel shy with the stage and explain the story or it might be the attitude of the creator to not explain the movie if the film hadn't done it to someone(I observed this attitude with makers such as Thiyagaraja Kumararaja and many others). I personally think the judges have to watch the film as the common audience takes time to analyze it say feedback on it, rather than finding the mistakes as and then without taking the film as a whole. a similar situation happens in Kollywood where the reviewers review the movie as such as they see it instantly. They should take time for the movie to be analyzed, discussed and review on it after a day or two since it is a short film it can be done after 5/10min at the least considering the fact that it is a reality show. since the show is not live they could cut that 10 mins of discussion between the judges and telecast it. I hope Kalignar TV takes this feedback and react to it I have spent almost 15-20 mins in typing this comment just to make sure that no good film is dumped and every good film is appreciated.
