Great step by step tutorial! This will really help people step up to improve their riding one step at a time. I bet there will be a lot of people staring at stairs and developing a new section tic after seeing this clip. For real though, on point, I'm never going to look at stairs the same way again!
Awesome! This will definitely add dynamics to mountain biking skills. Its challenging, but will definitely practice your tutorial and have so much fun doing it, thank you sir!
Going slow just turned on a big light bulb in my brain. Ive been struggling with a steep chicane in technical high exposure mtb trail in the infamous Niagara River Gorge. I am certain Practicing slow stairs will give me both the confidence and skill to finally send it
I always recommend taking a new rider into a downtown city area, if you're allowed and not harassed by authorities, to learn basics. It's a good way to learn techniques in a somewhat controlled environment before dragging them onto a trail where it may be a bit intimidating for them. Years ago, when my friends use to ride, we would go downtown just to play around on Sundays when everything was closed. Now it's not as easy with downtowns revitalizing and becoming the new hangouts with restaurants, shops, bars, and coffee shops.
That’s a great approach - also the square edges and flat surfaces of the downtown environment are easier to ride than some of the off-camber and uphill spots with uneven gravel or dirt.
Honestly, I'll never have the self control to pass up a stair gap. Something clicks in my brain, next thing I'm in the biggest gear sprinting, drool coming out of the corner of my mouth, and it's all over just like that. I'll just have to live with the shame.
Thanks for your nice video. It really helps. A question to you. What kind of basic fitness is required in order to start? After a few movements I feel exhausted
Thanks! I'm glad it was helpful! Honestly, just riding is the best way to build the specific fitness you'll need for this. Your body gets more efficient in it's movements and builds what we call "muscle memory". So while it certainly helps to be fit, the actual fitness you want is the efficiency that comes from learning the skills and techniques. You're on your way!
Hello, I couldn't find a video or post about your bike. I would love to find out more about it. I've built a commencal meta HT a moment ago but am not happy with its trials capabilities :(
Really like your videos. You have a good teaching technique and breakdown of difficult concepts. Thanks.
Thanks so much, that means a lot!
The slow your roll is one of my favorite things to do! Crazy how challenging going slow can be!
I couldn’t agree more! An underrated skill to say the least!

¡¡Genial!! ¿Si te dejo mi bicicleta, la enseñarías a hacer todas esas cosas? (jajajj)
Por supuesto! :)
What chain do you run
SRAM ..I forget which model, though...sorry!
Do you use clip'ins?
All flat pedals for me, I recommend them for practice specifically. All the tutorials and skills on this channel can be done with flats.
Dose anybody know how to not get a flat on your inner tube when riding staris
What bike is that?
Santa Cruz Chameleon
You got super high rise bars on that thing but the bb ain't that high bet that feels like a micro scooter no disrespect
I miss the times when I thought just actually riding a bike was enough ;)
