      If u want short concepts on vid editing on specific things.....U should check out Daniel Batal ( My personal suggestion not advertising ....) he makes vid straight to the point .... i hope he helps u but this guy is also gd

    SUMMARY for those who it might help...
    GENERAL TIPS...
    Double click on assets to see them in the preview window.
    CTRL Z to undo anything
    UP and DOWN arrow keys to get playhead to go to beginning or end of a clip
    EDITING VIDEO CLIPS
    Space bar = play/start playback
    to move a frame at a time
    i to mark in-point
    o to mark out-point
    (Can use brackets on preview pane to mark i and o points too)
    Drag the video clip from your assets to A line and it will just drag the selected bit with i and o.
    A tick will appear in assets on video showing you have used it in the video project.
    Other methods - use scissors or drag the start point inwards to the point you want.
    TIMELINE ZOOMING IN AND OUT
    CMD/CTRL + or -
    Drag time line left or right at top
    Use the - + slider thing on time line
    ADJUST COLOUR OR TONE
    Double click on video clip
    Click colour - adjust tone colour etc
    Also use LUTs (look up tables)
    Import 3rd part luts
    Click colour pallets icon above timeline if you are advanced. Eg change the greens
    REVERSE OR SPEED A CLIP
    click speedometer icon above timeline
    PICTURE IN PICTURE
    Add 2nd video to to B roll (after you have set i and o points)
    Double click the B roll video clop, reduce size using scale slider under video tab
    Turn the audio on or off
    Drag and reposition B-roll video via the preview pane
    Adjust whatever else you want to do - can rotate and adjust size on video pane itself
    Add effects if you want - sound/visual - click motion
    TRANSITIONS
    Double click on each one to watch a preview
    Drag to video you want it on
    CTRL + to zoom in and then lengthen or shorten it.
    Double click on transitions for other adjustments
    ELEMENTS (animations)
    Great animations to add to film clips
    Note, some need downloading, click the down arrow on right hand upper corner of the element
    Drag to video clip
    Double click element to adjust
    Can even add a transition to it!!! Use TRANSITIONS tab
    EFFECTS
    Double click on each one for a preview
    TITLES
    Double click for preview
    Advanced options to change fade in and out points
    Can save as a custom
    PHOTOS
    Ken burns effect - crop - pane and zoom - start and end points of ken burns effect
    SPLIT SCREEN
    Click the split screen tab at top
    Drag to b roll
    Drag things to the preview pane
    Click on each one to adjust etc
    ADJUSTING SOUND
    One click on clip in A or B roll and pull audio up or down
    MUSIC
    Drag audio clip to music track
    Double click to open other options
    Fade in out, change pitch etc
    Remove background noise!!!
    SOUND EFFECTS
    Drag it to under the music track
    Whoosh noises etc
    Epidemic sound website has lots more (but you have to pay for it)

      @@russblakey favour back since you did a super video. by the way ever heard of xsplit - something gamers use to stream 4k but says can be used for video editing. has powerful video editor they say. ever heard or used it? can even do video from 3 different camera plus screen share as fourth!!! or just stick with filmora?

    This is a brilliant tutorial video. I don't usually leave comments, but from being brand new to Filmora, by just watching and copying what you do and listening to your very understandable explanation, I was able to dive right into putting together and editing my own videos without having to watch 4 or 5 different tutorials.     Thank you so much! My computer is now a dinosaur and I cannot use any adobe software. Filmora is all I can use, but I think if you have good shots to start with, it can really help. The pan zoom is awesome. You are a lifesaver. This really has practically everything I need to be honest.

    I had to choose a software to edit footage from my Mini. I purchased the full version and I am quite happy with it ! There is also a gret functionnality to extract the beats from a music. That helps a lot for cutting.

    After trying six or seven other editors I bought Filmora 9, your'e right, it'd simple enough for beginners (very intuitive) but give you a lot of options as well, excellent piece of software.

    I will say this. I have been looking for a Filmora Video guide that actually gave me step-by-step instructions each one of them assumes that i know how to do even the most basic things and i couldnt figure it out this helped me so much more in 5 mins than any of the other tutorials in the hours i wasted watching them
