Indiana Jones Map Animation | Filmora Effects

Today I'll be breaking down exactly how to do the Indiana Jones map animation in Filmora 9. You may have thought this iconic scene couldn't be done in Filmora, but using a few simple Filmora effects and you can harness this technique to create far more than just an Inidana Jones travel path.

Any place you need to have a line move across a static image, this hidden technique will do the trick!
Let's dig in!
EDIT: A lot of people have asked how to make the line go in the other direction (Right to Left). Here's a few tips: Either flip the original map images 180 degrees horizontally so that the maps read backwards, create the effect left to right, export, bring it back into Filmora and then flip it in the preview window again like I did with the plane footage.
Then the map will read correctly again and the transition will move right to left.
One of the community members said he did a similar thing by flipping the images upside down... then reversing back to right-side up once the effect was completed.

Think about how you can rotate the map to begin with to get the line to move the way you want it to!
