Great review, Andrew. Thinking about one of these. (And Poppy is cute!!).
Getting mine tomorrow, Monte Carlo
I bought one last week, it is a brilliant car,
I bought the LE version of this car and I’m in love. I note that the jerky start took only a little getting used to and then it was fine. I felt this was due to the dual-clutch transmission… it takes a moment to get into gear initially.
We've got the same car and love it! peppy yet economical
I'm here for the happy puppy 🐶
Missed seeing Poppy my Corgi passion
Lol was it “bring a dog to work day” at the Carsguide office?
It’s a fantastic car
Looks great and the Monte Carlo in that spec with options is very premium etc
Not budget & basic
U get what u pay for
Not everyone needs a large vehicle
So spending up to / around
$ 40 k for a highly equipped version of these compact SUV is very popular nowadays.
New versions of Kamiq just been launched in Australia
From $ 30 k to $ 40 k
U get a choice of models.
Why is Skoda still giving out MY20 review units. If you buy a MY21 you miss out on the cooled glovebox, boot torch and the extra shopping bag hooks. You do get a much nicer steering wheel. I’ve got an MY21 Monte Carlo with Travel Pack, I would highly recommend it particularly if you were considering a T-Cross or even a T-Roc, the interior is so much nicer then the latter despite costing $8000 less.
39k aussie dollars isn't too bad when you consider this spec is 40k in euro. Crazy prices for what would have been a 25k small family car only a few years ago.
Hi, great reviews, i just have a question; why don’t you the engine power in horse power unit? hp is a lot familiar than KW.
Because here in Australia, where this video is made, we use the Metric System, so KW is far more familiar than HP.
As mentioned in another comment below the glass roof is not ideal for the Australian summers, so much so the salesperson at the Skoda dealership we test drove one at advise us not to get one…”Great driving through the city (Sydney) at night but other than that I wouldn’t recommend one” …his word not ours. After taking it for a test drive ( it’s a great little car to drive) and weighing up the options out there my partner ended up going for a Kia Seltos sports plus.
I’ve got this model, the sun blind is more then effective, it also has a slight tint, not just privacy glass.
What a thoroughly interesting story that was😐
What about the review of the Corgi! How does Corgi impact on space and practicality?
Ahhahahaha not funny
@@yassine-ayad why are you so mad?
@@chache516 idk he just thinks he's mad anf its pissing me off
Warning the fabia, rapid and kamiq Monte Carlo’s all have a fixed non opening panoramic glass roof. They are greenhouses on wheels.
Theu get really hot?
That’s what the electric sliding cover is for, duh🙄
theres a 8 month wait on these cars in the uk
Seriously! I was told 4 months
@@mariaacarvalhoo7980 its 4/5 now maybe it was the plan demic
Not a bad looking car, but I never heard of it in the USA.
Closest to a VW Taos in size but the Taos uses the MQB platform shared with the golf 7 and Tiguan whereas this uses the MQB A0 platform shared with the VW Polo and T-Cross not sold in North America.
Because Skoda aren't sold in the USA. Shame as I think the US would prefer this over local production of VW
A small SUV for 39k. I'm completely divorced from the reality of new car prices.
It actually starts from 28k
@@yassine-ayad yeah and IMHO the base model is the pick of the bunch
In india it only costs 14k dollers and 20k dollers for top spec
@@Agmhd I'll move to Calcutta my favourite Indian city.
No offence
But u r correct
All car prices have gone up heaps in last 12 months
Similar vehicles from Mazda. Hyundai. Kia. Etc are also easily $ 40 k for the top spec models
I test drove one a couple of weeks ago, It felt small and cramped inside, My head was almost touching the roof, Went back and ordered a Kodiaq! 👍
You must be gigantic to think this car is cramped lol
@@khelgarironfist3301 The seats seemed too narrow for me, I stopped smoking in 2006, I was 13.5 stones in weight, I'm now 17.5 stones!! 😕
I'm only 5'8" ☺
