From my experience don't place your bales tight SxS rain gets trapped and rots more...enjoyed the vid. What breed of cattle?

You are right about stacking bales. Those are actually just unloaded waiting to be wrapped. We wrap all our hay even dry hay. We don’t wrap our bedding hay though.

Thanks for the video. Curious as to your thoughts on the Kubota vs. TYM tractor; advantages/disadvantages?

I’m actually working on a video about this! Quick answer is the kubota isn’t as great as I thought it should be.

    What county are you from
Some dairy farmers don't milk out cows after calving just take enough for calf for a few days

We are located in Maine USA. We milk all fresh cows and feed the colostrum to the calves.

9 at the moment we have 4 more cows due in the next 2-3 weeks. Then 7 heifers due this fall.

Why do you leave the horns on your cattle?

This is one of the most asked questions! We have a cow our two that missed being dehorned. The group of heifers where actually dehorned by our vet and almost all of them grew horns.
