Have you ever considered filling in the middle of your milking barn. It would make milking those lower uttered cows better i believe.

We have thought about changing it up. Our cows used to be trained to stand up on the platform over time bad habits have spread.

Yes!! They where actually dehorned as calves and the vet somehow didn’t get them all! Would call the vet back but they’ve gotten out of large animals.

Do the cows only get molasses in the winter?

Yes. We only feed when they’re getting stored hay/feed and not on pasture
