@RB I agree. I know people want to be helpful, but we don’t need that kind of help and it detracts from the content creator’s vibe. Stop it people!

@RB I disagree. I think it's a good point, that it would be helpful to have timestamps. I love Jillz too but the videos could definitely be improved with adding timestamps.

@thelittlemuffethe timestamps just say "low vibe #1, low vibe #2. . ." Etc.
It's thoughtful that you care about Jilz' work, but she's not necessarily more important than anyone else. She made this vodeo to help people. And if her vodeo has fewer views because it's not useful to everyone, than that's ok. The viewer s time matters too

I was married to a toxic narcissistic man
When I discovered the word narcissists meant in 2018
I watched so much content on this subject every day.
So I would never get involved with a man like that again
But i felt like I kept meeting men like this all the time
I was attracting them into my life because that’s all watched, read listened to daily
So I removed all content from my phone.

Point #7 on getting enough sun WITHOUT sun cream, you are absolutely right! I live in Spain, plenty of sun here, but I had a huge Vitamin D deficit because I would always wear sun cream. Guess what, Vitamin D deficit led to a quicker growth of my myoma. Get up early in the morning to get 30 min of the first morning sun WITHOUT wearing sun cream, that is my advice.

On Jan 1, I wrote down my 2024 goals. One goal I set for myself was to be more present and minimize my phone usage. I use an alarm clock that plays upbeat music in the morning instead of using my phone. I don't turn on my phone until I complete my morning routine (including having a healthy breakfast) and head off to work. I keep my phone on Do Not Disturb during my work blocks and reserve phone use for my lunch break. As far as social media, I turned off push notifications and have time limits set in the app to remind me to get off the app to avoid excessive scrolling. It's more quiet and peaceful on my end and I highly recommend it.

One more anecdote about food (and this is just my personal experience, I don't want to impose anything on anyone): My biggest surprise after I stopped eating animals was the positive shift it has caused in my mental well-being. Only then I realized that eating meat was actually a huge low vibe factor in my life because deep inside it didn't represent my values and I had to surpress my bad feelings around it. Food is so much more fun for me now :)

Most of the packages meatless stuff is loaded with man made chemicals, salt and sugar. Way more unhealthy. Meat, pure un processed crap is good for us. You do you but cutting out processed junk is vastly superior.

    • @Sarina460
      @Sarina460 Рік тому +19

@@xposetruth5681 I don't know why you assume that I must eat processed meat-substitutes just because I said I'm on a vegan diet. There are tons of amazing fruits, veggies, whole grain products, seeds, nuts, herbs, spices to create amazing dishes from. You just need to know how to cook properly ;) so, both diets (vegan and omnivore) can be either very healthy or unhealthy, depending on how much processed food you eat or not. However, for me personally, the vegan diet has improved my overall well-being immensely because it has not only improved my physical but also my mental well-being.

Eating the flesh of another living being that was tortured to death and therefore holds all their fear and adrenaline hormones in it is the absolute worst thing for your vibration/health. I eat an extremely clean diet (all organic, no sugar, no caffeine, no alcohol, etc), so I agree that processed food is absolutely detrimental to our health, but meat is the absolute worst thing, because it affects your body and your soul. Everyone knows deep down it’s wrong to kill another being in order to eat it because humans don’t need to do so to survive. So deep down, your soul is misaligned if you eat meat. I was that way for 25 years, so I totally understand. But now that I changed my mindset, I’m never going back! It’s so wonderful and freeing!

My theory is that women watch all these true crime documentaries for 2 reasons: 1. We're not really allowed to express our dark sides by the society, so we use it as an outlet and 2. We want to feel safe and so we try our best to learn the risk factors around us. But the thing is, it's not a good outlet and it makes us paranoid as no amount of calculation will be good enough for us to react the best way possible, if anything, it makes us more fearful.

#2 is so true! I've always been averse to sad songs because I felt them too much and it always put me in such a negative headspace from an experience I've never even had before! So I find it really sad that most of the songs released nowadays have been overtly sentimental and depressive (though there's nothing wrong with it, just not my preference).

Hey Jillz, thanks for sharing this. It's so important for us to cut out the low vibration stuff from our life. I do feel the negative impact of these things on my life. It's so important to switch 'I don't want this' to 'I want this instead'. I remember one day seeing a lady excessively scrolling through her phone answering messages and texts like crazy, and that nervous and stressed out energy is such low vibration. I started thinking to myself, I was doing the same, glued to my phone like a slave, with such a low vibe. That definitely doesn't make me look like a confident, happy and healthy lady.

I agree with every point. Thank you for your insight!
I cut off news last year. I always thought it's important to know what happens in the world, but I meant facts, not brainwashing media. So, this included also social media. I had a great detox of negativity because I was surrounded by positive people I was meeting in real life, and not only virtually. 😅
I skipped people with negative mentality too, like you said. As I see them like they go backwards in life, and do not progress. So, why I need to stay with them? 😊

OMG 😄 I totally agree with you about watching The Office being high vibe and way better than scrolling 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 i watch it almost every day 😂 I actually have done all of these, it’s so cool to know there are others who are doing the same!!😊 I especially love what you said about the sun! I really haven’t heard anyone (besides my fiancé and I) talk about it that way. We’re totally team No Sunscreen!😄 I think the reason humans get sun burn is so that we know “oh, I’ve had enough sun for today, I’d better get in the shade”. It’s simply our body communicating to us. Imagine that haha!

  • @jadesimone_
    @jadesimone_ Рік тому

getting sun without sunscreen is sooo underrated & necessary, i’m really glad you mentioned that cause it’s so demonized. although i have a caramel complexion & can withstand more sun, i never go to the beach or pool or anywhere with sunscreen. what i don’t do is “tan” how people be out there roasting themselves. i do what i do, play in the water, be in the sun but when it gets too much i move to the shade. dermatologists wants people to wear sunscreen every waking moment of there lives to keep the industry going. it’s all about money. sunscreen leaches into your bloodstream & causes issues whereas the sun actually heals you in a plethora of ways. you just have to get healthy doses of it. my skin is always healthiest when i’ve been getting lots of sun

I've been cutting out sad music and media lately too. I just realized the same thing, that it made me feel sad, and I realized I was actually addicted to being sad, like I was just so drawn to melancholy and for me it was sad but in a beautiful way. That destroyed me because it made me addicted to anything sad.
I'm still taking all of my sad song out of my Spotify because there's a lot of them lol. But nowadays I mostly watch comedy TV shows and movies, or those romantic movies with a really comfort vibe with happy endings. I used to love sad endings because they were more interesting, now they just frustrate me, like I want to leave this experience feeling good, not sad

I think you are so spot on with too much self improvement
I used to watch some famous youtubers on self-improvement, and they always seemed to be talking about the same things over and over, reading self-improvement books, giving advices, creating podcasts about how to be better, how to stand out, how to do more things, etcetera, and I realized I was really not envious of their life. Even when they were talking about hobbys for me it just seemed like they picked something popular and wanted to do it for the sake of saying that they did, for the sake of showing that they could. I was just asking myself self improvement for what? Standing out from the crowd, for what? Why do they even want to get better? I woudn't have like to spend time with them to talk about life, because I wondered if they had any interest besides "trying to get better in general". I switched to watching content from people like you who are enjoying life and have a more holistic way of seeing self-improvement. I also love muchelleB videos on time management and productivity

One thing I did to help cutdown on social media is removing the apps from my home screen. That way if I want to get on Instagram (for example) I have to actively search for it which eliminates mindless clicking and scrolling
Also on the sunshine point: my doctor diagnosed me with a vitamin D deficiency and she recommended going out in the morning (apparently that’s when the suns rays are the least harmful) and she said to get 30 min. Max of sunlight then put on sunscreen for the harsh sun during the rest of the day (I lived in Florida at the time)

Love the tips in this video! As a western women, I have recent discovered Traditional Chinese Medicine, which has helped me activate the flow of my internal feminine energy, and has also supported my yin and yang energy in more harmony, which has made me feel more aligned. A lot of the practices are covered in your videos so there is definitely a common overlap. One thing I have cut out as much as possible is caffeine, especially from dark tea and coffee. Studies have shown that caffeine is quite low vibrational (you can find this explained in the book Good Vibes Good Life), and after consuming it for a few days, or in excess, I definitely feel it weigh on my spirit and I feel like it is harder to connect with myself and be centred. I have instead substituted this to Matcha, to get my caffeine kick. Matcha is a MUCH better alternative in my opinion, as not only is it a more high vibrational colour (green, which is spiritually connected to nature, birth and regrow), it is more earthy, natural and has tons of additional health benefits such as being much higher in antioxidants, and much higher in polyphenols - which our brain LOVES. Matcha also contains significantly more L-theanine than tea for example, which actually calms you down and does not give your body the unsettled reaction that normal caffeine does from coffee. After consuming Matcha for a few days, you will for sure feel the difference in your spirit (try get organic, ceremonial grade Matcha if you're reading this and are interested). I like to drink it with just pure water and lion's mane mushroom powder mixed in for additional health benefits.
I have also started wearing socks/ slippers more often, ensuring that my feet are always warm, as this supports the women's body. In traditional Chinese medicine, cold foot equates to cold uterus, which can disturb a women's energy flow. Ensuring your feet are kept warm also keeps the uterus warm and in turn fully supports the one of the most important part of your women's body.

So funny you mentioned switching to fiction books! I've been reading non fiction self-help for many years and am all of the sudden burnt out from them. I've always said I don't care for fiction books and was so uninterested. Then, out of nowhere, I went to the book store last week and just dove into fiction books. But when I swapped it out for podcasts/youtube videos about other things I like (travel destinations, historical landmarks) I sudden had SO MUCH MORE TO TALK ABOUT WITH OTHER PEOPLE. Not to say that you can't talk about true crime with other people but for me that only really works if you both know the same case, etc. So this swap had a lot of positive influences on my life.

I'm happy I stuck to my guts and didn't push myself just to please a person that isn't in my life anymore

I really liked this video! I've always felt the same way as you about violent/crime/scary content but I haven't been able to phrase and explain the reason for it the way you do in this video. I've always felt like a bit of a coward among my friends when I said I don't enjoy this type of popular genres but now I'm happy to hear there are other people to feel the same way haha.

I’m watching this and agree with you until the bit about the alarm. I’ve recently gone back to “regular hours” for work (9 to 5 kinda thing) and started using an alarm again. I have used my phone since smart phones first came out but I always choose either gentle or uplifting music. I’ve currently got a beautiful soft piece of classical music quite low in volume, just enough. I hope this helps someone.

I never understood the desperation for sunscreen so I'm glad you made a point about this! I only really wear sunscreen in the summer and ONLY when I go to the beach because I feel the sun being too much there. I never wear it in general and maybe it's my genes, but I look a lot younger than I am and I'm still being asked for my ID even for lottery tickets and I'm almost 30. People legit tell me I barely look 18 SOMETIMES. Not all the time. While it can be a compliment, it can get annoying if I'm being ID for the smallest things when I'm actually in a rush or not in the mood. I disagree with sunscreen being the "reason" people think they look young cuz it's really not and sunscreen shouldn't be used as a beauty product. It's not made for that. A positive mindset, a good lifestyle, good eating habits, general self-care and more are the reason people can look younger. Stress is a huge factor that plays into ageing and for a lot of people now-a-days, not wearing sunscreen, badgering others for not wearing it and stressing over possibly forgetting to wear it defeats the whole point in my opinion. It's just added stress for no reason when the sun is natural. Without it, we wouldn't be alive in the 1st place.

I hate feeling like turning my life into a "business" where everything has to be planned, there must be to-do lists and schedules and routines, that just frustrates me more. So definitely cut back on too much self-help. I only really ever go to videos like this whenever I feel like my life is falling apart just to have that little guide back on track. (So you know what this means lol)

I feel conflicted with cutting out media in connection with violence, because it makes me feel sad and scared of this world but at the same time I can't be ignorant of the things happening around us. Because of this I'd rather watch something that is not based on a real story or not news, but still we cannot live in a happy bubble.

I am the complete opposite of you, when I watch paranormal, scary things or true crime, I feel invigorated (especially the haunting stuff). My hubby tries to understand this about me, because he just doesn't get it. I am just wired differently I guess. I grew up on the scary stuff (my parents weren't into it, but they never stopped me from consuming that sort of thing...they saw I had an interest and spooky stuff made me happy)

I get it, I have this weird love-hate relationship with spooky stuff. I grew up devouring Stephen King novels, they were my first "grown up books" and really inspired my love of reading long books. BUT they've also messed me up for good, my friends laugh because to this day I'm unable to accept a drawn shower curtain and always pull it back in hotel rooms (because WHO KNOWS 😂). As I get older I find that I'm more and more susceptible to violence though, and really need to take things lightly when it comes to scary stuff.

True crime does lower the vibe. While helping us to avoid bad situations, it's just depressing. Paranormal stories, on the other hand, fascinate me thus raising my vibe in a sometimes harsh world.

Death metal has the same effect. It is invigorating and empowering and gives a sense of freedom. Most folks who dislike it seem to perceive the aggression being brought against them while others actually hear their own voice in the aggression and cathartic.

I have cut out true crime and some horror as well (which was hard because a lot of people know me as the horror girl!) but I just had too! I have OCD and if I see or hear something disturbing enough it will obsessively intrude my thoughts and metastasize into something that threatens my peace so badly.
So I cherry pick my horror films now, which is actually better because now I do my research and find high quality films made with artistic intent and that make me excited to watch instead of watching anything labelled horror just because I’m the “horror buff”.
