I have Thursdays off work and here’s my two things: 1 - every Thursday I clean my car, inside and out. And 2- every other Thursday I get my nails done. I’ve done these two things religiously (devotionally..) for years and I can tell you, the drive to work in a clean car with posh hands on the steering wheel has given me a sense of gratefulness and luxury that I carry with me into each day. Sticking to little things that serve you have a big impact. Anyways, thanks for another great video! 🖤

1. A good mood changes everything. 2. Good health transforms your day 3. Identify priorities and the 80/20 4. Do things once 5. Create systems for yourself - don't let things get out of hand 6. Discipline can be devotion
I love these tips! A similar rule I follow for myself is "if you have time for it when you think of it, do it immediately." For instance, if you're on your way home and realize you need to fill your gas tank, do it right then. Don't put it off for the next time you're in the car, because next time you might be running late. If you're sitting on the couch watching TV and remember you need to do laundry or clean the litter box or whatever, get up and do it right away. Don't put it off if you don't have to. You will feel better knowing that it's done, and also knowing you won't kick yourself in the future (hours or days from then) when you re-remember to do it.
Syncing my life with my cycle works well for me. For example I use my follicular and ovulatory phase for creativity based responsibilities or tasks, this is a phase where I’ll focus on meal prep and making nice hearty healthy meals that I can freeze and just thaw and use for later. I’ll use my luteal phase for planning and organisation tasks and I’ll use my menstrual cycle for rest and self care.
“Being busy for the sake of being busy is not an achievement” I needed to hear this badly. I live in a household where my mom and younger sister both keep themselves busy with work and they are MISERABLE. For the longest time, they made me feel guilty for not keeping myself busy by working many hours at a hospital setting like them (they are nurses, and I’m still a student studying psychology, which takes much longer). My mom constantly tries to get me to work in a hospital because it makes more money but I’m great at budgeting and I don’t feel the need to change my work place where I’m an assistant manager, amazing with my tasks and get along super well with my manager. Since my classes take up more mental capacity, I CHOOSE to stay at my job where I feel peaceful. They don’t understand that. I learned that the only reason they make me feel bad about it is because they want to feel better about themselves. Sure, hospitals have better pay, but classes already take up most of my energy and I’d rather not add stress into my life by working at a hospital setting (I tried it for 5 months and it did not work for me). My mental state is at its best today than it has ever been, and watching your videos have enhanced my way of life. Thank you so much!
I started working full time 8 hours a day for 5 days and I felt so drained. I shortened it to 6 hours to prioritize my health and I am so much happier. I felt shamed for a while over it but I realize your everyday IS your life.
I have a motto about housework: Everything has a place, and everything is in its place. If that stays true as you go, all that's left is cleaning. I rotate cleaning. Vacuuming one day, dusting another. Mopping another day. Bathroom yet another. That way, I don't feel like a slave to keeping my house clean.
@@YvonneMinjarez A lot of putting things away has to do with completing projects one at a time, instead of leaving things half-baked out on counters or piles of laundry out. If you have a place for everything, completing projects one at a time becomes a lot easier. For example, I have sorting bins in my laundry area for whites, lights and darks while enough laundry accumulates to do a load. If you designate certain places as 'off limits' for clutter - like my dining room table - which is a focal point once you enter my living room, the process becomes easier. One 'off limits' area cleared at a time.
Amazing ideas here, and I freaking LOVE changing the word “Discipline” to “Devotion” because it feels more feminine to me. That one’s gonna change my life. Xoxo ❤
I couldn't agree more. Living this way, softer, has literally changed my life. And when I started I was in the middle of a real whirlpool where everything seemed to be falling apart. By staying in my feminine, softer, positive energy, I tapped into my inner strength and was able to create the kind of life that I had wanted to live, starting exactly where I was, which was NOT a comfortable place and there was nothing certain or easy about it. By staying true to my purpose, I started making better and healthier choices, which made me heal from terrible anxiety, and then gradually fall in love with life again. I also agree that a good, positive-focused attitude towards challenges, responsibilities etc makes all the difference. You don't have to wait for the weekend or holiday to be happy, you just make it work and make every day matter. Finally, I think that the more people turn towards this kind of thinking and actually living their live in allignment with that, the softer and happier is the world we live in. We heal each other even on the subconscious level, so every little step towards healing and growth that we make can create ripples in the world around us. And yes, I do love the word devotion and that's how I see it - it's kinda like a gift to oneself, you know you do this thing because you deserve it, not because there is pressure, and that really makes things much easier and better.
True about blood sugar. I used to be afraid of eating because I almost always felt sleepy n lethargic after eating. I love foods but my relationship with foods was so bad that time with this side effect, I ended up developing a mild eating disorder. But then I educated myself what caused that so I improved my eating habit. And as atomic habits say, one good habit leads to another, until I stack up more habits for health and add frictions for bad habits. Now I love eating again, n if I want to indulge in sugary foods, it's very rare and an informed choice because I know I'll crash afterwards, so it's planned and not due to craving.
Hi! I relate to your comment so much. I feel sleepy and lethargic but im not sure if it's eating or just generally, if you don't mind could you tell what changes you brought to your diet or any other in your life that helped bring improvement ❤️
I was just looking a discipline quotes and reframing them for devotion… “Discipline yourself so others don’t have to”… “Discipline is giving yourself a command and following it up with an action.” (It feels like discipline is associated with rules and failure with punishment. Whereas devotion is the “desire to do” motivated by love / passion.) Reframed quotes: “Love and attend to your yourself so others don’t have to” … “Devotion is dedicating yourself to an ideal and following through with action.” ❤
Jillz, my word of the year is "discipline". I have so many big goals and I just couldn't do anything because of my anxiety. The knowledge and practice of feminine energy has been changing my life and my relationship with my work. This new perspective of discipline as devotion kind of summarize everything I have been going through. Thank you a lot ❤ love
Hello Jillz! I'm just writing to say... THANKS! I've never believed in this "stuff", but I've tried many things to improve myself, my self-confidence and self-esteem, to find my authentic self and nothing worked for me, even though I went to therapy for more than a year, but didn't notice any change. In one month or two months, I've been listening to your content and applied it every day with my husband, with myself, and with others and I can't believe how much has changed in a good way! My husband is sweeter than ever, protective... just a perfect husband. I feel so good now, so chill and confident, of course, I know I must keep working on myself. But I'm so impressed by how much everything has changed since I decided to connect with my feminine energy and u know, it was so easy, so natural 💗 so THANKS

Stumbled upon this video via my UA-cam feed recommendations and I’m so grateful I chose to watch! I loved all the ones you mentioned and I was particularly struck by the last one, discipline vs. devotion. That really resonated with me and I absolutely love this idea. I struggle in terms of creating (as a writer) because I’ve always felt like “why bother if I don’t have the readers which is why I put all these thoughts on paper, so I can share.” But if I reframe it as devotion to my craft, to knowing that this is what I love doing and I love sharing, it will help me to keep going before I’m seeing external results from it. Start with the internal, right? A devotion to me, to what I love, to my passion, and then it’ll blossom out to those who resonate with what I share. I love this. Thank you so much. I appreciate you!
So funny- just this morning I titled a page in my notebook "Gentle Life"! I am currently working all hours available in preparation for making a move to a different life overseas in the winter. Included in my list are things like silk socks and underwear, a woodstove or an Aga in the kitchen, no car/no commuting! No rushing, a 'position' rather than a 'job', wearing a watch because it's pretty not because I am watching the time. There will be no room for rushing :)
I love these videos not only for the inspiration and motivation to take care of myself, but because your voice is so calming! I put these videos on when I'm working on a stressful task at work, and it always calms me down. I tend to stress about things I need to get done at home while I'm at work and things I need to get done at work while I'm at home... It's a never ending cycle!
I know this wasn’t your main intention but saying that being in poor health makes you feel like you have nothing was so validating to hear!! I’ve been struggling bad with something similar to what you’ve spoken about with the interstitial cystitis and it’s been awful. I’m finally taking care of my health and I’m already feeling so much better, but the trauma of feeling like everything had been ripped away from me felt like something nobody understood, so thank you.
I simply got addicted to your videos! ☘️💕 Based on the inspiration I got from you, I started to take more care about my appearances and the way I feel. I LOVE learning how to be more in my feminine energy and it positively affects everyone around me 🤗💕 Keep up the great work. Sending you lots of love ☘️💕
First I thought your videos are about beauty and are a bit shallow, like being pretty is the most important thing. But I really enjoy listening and watching your videos, I think I was on a journey being soft and happy but lately I lost it, and your videos help me a lot finding my way again. From a softer perspective I try not to memorize everything you say and stress on in to follow, but I listen these tips frequently and it seems like I can embody this way of thinking. Thank you :)
For so many years I've been told that taking care of my health the way I want to (extra vitamins, essential oils, skin care, clothes) physically is selfish. So as a result I look and feel like crap. I decided to start this journey by investing in taking care of my body physically so my mental wellness follows and thrives.
I love this video ❤️ I'm with you here on most of these and looking forward to trying others. I agree, it's a combination of softness and devotion/discipline! Thanks Jillz!
Hi there Jillz. I really need this in my life. I am working hard to transform everything in my life, starting with a hair cut today. Thank you for the wonderful work that you do. xx
The part about how being in a good mood makes generally stressful work much easier and enjoyable is so so true! We are not here to struggle and be sad!
Thank you, your videos and advice ground me 😅 sometimes I need to remind myself not to stress too much or think of toxic negative stuff and just enjoy the day 🙂
Hey Jillls, this is a great video! As a university student, it becomes really hard for me not to work on something or the other, continuously, and I eventually burn myself out. This is such a wonderful video! I'm gonna start spending more time on self care and doing things I like.
Hi Gills, I loved this video of yours! So many amazing points! My addition to the list (that I thing is a game changer) is to be WELL RESTED. Almost all people know this in theory, but its often disregarded. I thought I put it out here for other people who need to hear it.
I really appreciate this video, just after one exhausted week. It"s impossible to live in that way. I decided that my life has to be soft and easy. Thank you so much for your advice ❤ cheers from Argentina
I love doing things once- I'm the queen of eating leftovers in our house since I do not enjoy cooking haha. 🥰😊 I need to get better with discipline/devotion. It's improved a lot this year, but I still have so much growing to do in that area! Thanks for the great video.
I used a very similar method to change my attitude to working out - instead of „sport“ just use the word „movement“😎🙈 A tiny change, but it had such a great impact on me!
My favorite video of yours so far! I found everything in this video applicable. Also- especially when you mentioned the meal prepping vs. cooking for next day’s lunch. I think it’s important to offer variation like that- for instance, I will sometimes meal prep for multiple days at a time, but other times only cook for an additional meal or two. Sometimes the task of a full meal prep just doesn’t make sense for the week OR can feel like a completely daunting task (which is not in any way feeling soft!). Likewise maybe I’ll just batch cook a bunch of vegetables to have on hand to incorporate into other dishes. It’s all about finding what’s most helpful & in flow for you. Thanks for the video 🫶🏽
looking at discipline as devotion -- I LOVE this!!! I've been having huge revelations about discipline in my life and have landed exactly at this place embracing my feminine energy took years and now im in the process of fully EMBODYING it. it's an amazing journey that im grateful to be on. love your vids!
You definitely give off a very peaceful demeanour and beautiful character. And very helpful tips. Another tip to bring abundant peace is to know Jesus. "So let’s strive for the things that bring peace and the things that build each other up." Romans 14:19, if you want give it a try, its definitely worth it and I can fully see his beautiful spirit in you☺️❤️
This is an incredible video. Resonated so much! Im on track with bringing more joy into things and doing things once but the others are great additions to this positive spiral Im on!

Hi there Jillz. I really need this in my life. I am working hard to transform everything in my life, starting with a hair cut today. Thank you for the wonderful work that you do. xx
I like her videos.. its calming, doesnt stress me but able to get me moving. Thank you Jill
We all need time for rest too ❤️❤️
You put it so well into words! Yess the creative flow is REAL when being at ease and relaxed 🌊 💙
thank you jillz to share your tips for being productive yet still live in joyful & soft life!
So very true! Thanks a lot!
So informative, never get tired of hearing what you have to say
Hi Gills,
I loved this video of yours!
Omg I've been listening to your videos for 5 + hours while I'm cleaning... Thank you :)
On of my favorite phases I say to myself
What can I do for myself today that will make my tomorrow better
Love that! I'm going to start using the word "devotion".❤
AND ALSO: devotion vs disclose. That’s my new motto. 🎉
I’m glad you explained what “soft life” meant. I didn’t actually understand that phrase
Thank you so much 🙏❤
Great video. I like the idea of using the word "devotion" as well. A few of your points hit home with me today, so thank you for speaking to my heart.
So glad it resonated 💕
looking at discipline as devotion -- I LOVE this!!! I've been having huge revelations about discipline in my life and have landed exactly at this place embracing my feminine energy took years and now im in the process of fully EMBODYING it. it's an amazing journey that im grateful to be on. love your vids!
Your energy is just magical✨✨
Aww THANK YOU! ❤️
Softer life, feels so good! Thanks for sharing :)💯
Beautiful feminine talk.... I enjoyed it ❤❤❤❤❤
Could you please make a video of what you eat in a day or a full week of eating to have a better idea of what healthy eating looks like !
I love you girl, you are changing my life, I send you everywhere now
Love it. I scrubbed it right back to the beginning as soon as I finished it the first time! Thank you! Now to figure out what my golden 20% is..
Yesss figuring out that 20% makes all the difference! 💕💕
Suddenly I'm feeling so happy!
Your vibe is so positive girl.
Keep it up ❤
Hey jills, I'd like your advice on how to manage tasks when it's already piled up and feels so overwhelming that you can't even start
You definitely give off a very peaceful demeanour and beautiful character. And very helpful tips. Another tip to bring abundant peace is to know Jesus. "So let’s strive for the things that bring peace and the things that build each other up." Romans 14:19, if you want give it a try, its definitely worth it and I can fully see his beautiful spirit in you☺️❤️
You are my inspiration 🥺🩷🌷
Devotion ❤
Binge watching your content has been my self care for the past 2 weeks ❤ love your channel

Just before 5 minutes jillz starts talking about liking what we think we hate and if you'd like to keep learning about this i recommend the book existential kink by Carolyn Elliot. 🖤
