Incredibly expensive and it is chewy and subtle. Forget that. I want it to blow me out of the water like scotch bonnet peppers, sweet tarts or cheesecake if I am paying that much.
Menstrel “out of the water”
Fresh hot hot hot peppers are the best
I didn’t read the “out of the water” part and thought you wanted Fugu to give you a good succ
I can buy a lifetime of fried octopus/squid with the money spent on the pufferfish lol. Plus the octopus/squid is more delicious and tasty.

Oh shit
Thats just the muscle spasm.
Immortal fish being cooked alive
So? They explicitly said the fish is BRAIN dead. Which means it feels nothing, sees nothing, is not awake. The heart might be still beating but that does not mean the fish is suffering.

I am intrigued and scared of the prospect at the same time. When I go to Japan I would love to try this delicacy but idk if dying by eating something I know is poisonous is the way to go 😅

I would personally go for farmed fugu; I understand that fugu’s toxicity stems from its ingestion in the wild of bacteria which produces the tetrodotoxin. In the sterile environment of a fish farm the fugu is raised toxin free even if the flavour can’t compare to wild caught.
And they probably dont taste as good exactly because of that
@@wongtan5680because of the tetrotoxin?
Not sure if it's a camera trick, but that purplish aura from the pufferfish sake looks simply mesmerizing.
