Took me way too long to realise that I mistakenly attributed `The Ninth Legion' to a non-existent Lindsey Drums. My bad! It was of course made by the fantastic Lindsey Crummett, who does actually exist 😅

Much heightened anticipation for this set. However, it seems that having heroes or characters as avatars would be a HUGE mistake, since avatars seem to perform modes of magic for gameplay. Instead of Merlin or the Lady of the Lake as avatars, why not a Merlin scholar or the Lady's devotee? Great vid.

Really good watch! Im thinking Lady of the lake will be card that lets you fetch for either a relic/artifact or even maybe a specific named relic like the sword.
Coming back to this it could be a minion that lets you surface any artifact in its body of water?
Yeah, I really like the idea of her interacting with or conjuring an artifact, that would be very flavorful. But she definitely needs to be pretty powerful! But again, I almost can't imagine her not being used as an avatar.
@@ContestedCards the only reason I’d see them not making her a avatar is Erik not wanting avatars to be a named character and wanting them to be more along the lines of the beta avatars where they are original concepts and more of a blank canvas for us as players to make our own.
@@Forkedtt Fair point! The thing is, 'Lady of the lake' is a title, not just one single character. So going by that logic she would fit even better as an avatar than Merlin or Morrigan. But they will have to include some new avatars in the set, any ideas?
@@ContestedCards yeah from what i heard they are wanting the Avatars be a blank slate for the players i think they could go the route of character archetypes seen in Arthurian legends, for example The Great Magician, The Hero, The Mentor are prominent archetypes found in AL lore.

@@WillJackson1992 good question! I'm still wondering that myself :D I do have a lot of ideas and plan on trying out different things, it won't all be in this style. I currently don't plan on making unboxing, deck tech or tts gameplay content.
Nice yeah I feel like you can really carve out a neat spot if you do anything similar to this style or focus I like it alot :)
Just a note on the questing cards you mention stating there are only 2 ( sunken / buried treasure ) there is also 1 more - dream quest as a unique 🙌, as stated in my previous comment amazing content look forward to more sorcery content from you!

If the Holy Grail was the only card that could heal you from Death's Door, and immediatly set your life back to 20, what would the mana cost be? Let's compare this effect to the Magic card Illusions of Grandeur from Ice Age. Costing 4 mana and a cumulative upkeep of 2, this enchantment temporarily gains you 20 life and then requires 2 mana on the next turn, then 4, then 6 (not counting the Donate combo). Could the Holy Grail cost 4 mana, gain the bearer 20 life, and require some sort of sacrifice each turn to keep it around and deal 20 damage to the bearer when it is dropped or when it leaves the realm? I feel like it would be a fun game, having one player gain 20, drop the grail, lose 20, other player picks up the grail, gains 20, and so on. The grail need not be exiled when used.
The Holy Grail isn't as Bad as you thik, because with them you can go over 20 live, because it says "you gain 20 live" and not "you Heal 20 live"
