- We rescued 33 precious horses and donkeys out of the slaughter pipeline. Today we transported them from the auction to our shelter. Our intake and medical team were ready and waiting for them when they arrived at our shelter. We are so grateful to all the amazing Horse Heroes out there who donated to help us rescue these amazing animals.

The big bay with the probable cancer really touches my heart. Something about him just seems so special. I feel so sorry for the poor guy, really really praying there’s something that can be done for him. Regardless I’m so glad Horse Plus was at least able to get him out of the pipeline❤️

Thank you for the wonderful work you do. Those poor animals are starving for attention and care. On their way out the take every opportunity they can to grab a mouthful of that green grass along the fence lines. Those poor little donkeys with the over grown feet people need to put on swim fins full of rocks and try to walk, that would give a little idea on what they are going through. . Keep up great work Horse Plus.

This auction was the first I have been able to contribute a donation for. In a world where I see so much cruelty and suffering that animals endure day in and day out , I feel like I had some tiny part in making a difference in the lives of the horses I am seeing now in this video and the ones to come on intake day. Thank you all for doing each day what so many of us who follow you wish we had the means and ability to do.

Me too. Life long lover of horses. Never was able to own one, but, maybe in Heaven I'll have my own horse to ride and love. I'm 74 and never lost my deep affection for all things horse.
This is the first time I contributed to an auction too, so I felt the same way about having a small part in one of the horses/donkeys lives. It's a good feeling.

I was going to surrender my pony to horse plus rescue because weve had a tragedy in our family recently, and I knew they could find her a good home, however I live in kentucky and have no means of delivering her to them, Angela told me it was to far for them to come get my pony, but she said if i can find a way to deliver her then they'll take her.. but it's impossible. My pony is still with me and will remain🦄
33 horses , mules and donkeys .That is so awesome .Glad I was able to get up at 3 am this morning and share before I left this morning to drive at 3:40 am . Thankfully they are saved God bless all y'all .
Wow!!! so many good looking horses with meat on their bones. Maybe the skinny badly treated horses are coming to an end, some lovely chestnuts, or as they seem to be called sorrels over there. Whatever, they are my fav colour.
They’ll be a bunch of happy horses when they get in that lovely grass back at the shelter.
It makes me very sad, wondering how they became blind

I'm so happy to see that you guys were able to rescue so many horses and donkeys. That little blind Pony is such a cutie I hope that eventually someone will give her a forever home when she's ready for adoption.

Seeing these horses, ponies and donks being put through such a traumatic experience WHILE being sick, skinny, blind, starving, cancerous masses, bad joints, bad feet.....HOW!? How tf can you do this to another living, breathing, feeling creature????? It breaks my heart. But, HPHS and other similar shelters make life better. You guys make me smile! One day I WILL be there with you guys! Shoulder to shoulder! My goal and dream in life is to work with HPHS!!! And my heart won't let this dream go!!! I cry at these episodes because I know, deep down, I NEED to be there with you all....I NEED to help these beautiful, innocent lives!!! #OneDay

Goodness me!! I have watched dozens of your videos but for some reason this one made me cry!! These babies are just magnificent!! It amazes me that these lovely animals ,who have had so much stress can find the strength to reach out and ask for a human hand to comfort then!! (Or give them a bite of a apple!!). Very moving!!
The love, care and attention you give the animals even before they arrive at the shelter is simply magnificent!

@@xrislamore8549 Life is just fine Xris, just fine. We are experiencing some wonderful blue sky's and balmy sunshine, with just a fine chill in the wind which is super-refreshing. Throughout January and February we had non-stop, often torrential rain, so this is a welcome turn of events! lol

I'm horrified at the condition of that poor gelding with what looks like cancer in his sheath. There's a special place in hell for the people who let him get so far gone, then just dumped him in the auction. Also the owners of that poor, sweet, blind pony.
I'm in love with that Saddlebred mare who squared up for you and stretched. She's definitely been shown, at least in halter classes. She looks just like Bourbon, the retired Saddlebred show mare I used to ride as a teen. She was a firecracker. I rode her bareback even though all the other barn brats were afraid of her, and thought I was crazy. I felt so FREE with her. 💕

I've been checking out your Amazon wishlist! I've just go to figure out what "I" can do to help from waaaaay up here in Winnipeg, MB. (just a 2 hour drive north of Grand Forks, ND). That one fella, I sure hope that he doesn't have cancer & that maybe it's just an infected & dirty sheath! Poor fell'a! I'm so glad when I finally se them arrive at the shelter. Up to & until that time, they seem so confused, passed along and passed along; lost; . . . . it's so sad.

Thank you for doing this. I often wonder if the people who send these babies to auction realize they are doomed. And I wonder why people don't get the medical attention needed? Or just simply take care of them.
The owners know exactly what the horse will go through I bought a 6 month old filly from someone who was sending its mom to slaughter along with a special needs horse sadly I had no room for the other two so I took took the filly that was over 20 years ago they knew then what would happen on the truck to Mexico like they know today :(

I think these guys don't look so skinny. As bad as they were before. I'm surprised to see how much more hoof problems there seems to be. I hope there's not too many to have the last rights. I know you use UA-cam mostly for a fundraising. I wish I could help. I do give you my prayers. I would like to see what you guys used to do in the past where we got to see each individual and had a little bit more update. And I wish they knew what happened to the old people that used to be there are they still there? By old I mean the ones he kind of started out with. I do enjoy your mentorship when you go visit. I'm glad you're doing so well and expanding.

Very professional work with compassion. My question is how and where you able to despose of the animals you must put down? This must be an expense also.

I had a thought....several of the girls were complaining about the tags coming off, and not being able to keep the horses straight.
I used to work for a company that made and sold all the stuff for the highway work crews.
Including. Marking. Paint.
As i remember, it comes in like, five colors, and its very bright, BUT FORMULATED TO WEAR AWAY IN A WEEK OR TWO.
So, do bands around a foreleg, and then put the same colors on their paperwork
A good idea but some horses may be spooked by being touched so much. If it's aerosol cans it may also hiss and spook them.

Just wondering how many pregnant mares have you rescued. How many blind hourses. All for a dollar. It's sickening to me. That people think so little of life that they just discard them like trash. Then again it shouldn't shock anyone we treat eachother with just as little regard.

Edna I agree. I watch all their videos but this one was 'a bit off' sound wise. I think it is all the new staff. I know this is a 'hurry up one' in the processing to let us know about their success, but I had to change my sound setting several times. Amazing group of rescues though with great prospects and expectations!
I really enjoy the videos you create, and the rescue is amazing. If I may offer one suggestion / comment, the sound levels are all over the place. I am not able to listen to a video with headphones on because the volume levels vary so widely. The music is often very, very loud while voices are very, very soft. Again, what y'all do is amazing, and I really enjoy seeing your work and all of the animals. Just wanted to take a second to mention about the the volumes because it is clear you work hard to put out excellent quality content to represent the organization. I hope this helps. It is NOT meant as an ugly comment in any way, shape or form. Thank you for all you do! 🙂

@@Lauren-vd4qe I have ASBs. My 1st was an ASB mare and 5 mo old colt. He stood that way automatically. I always said his favorite gait was 'park out'! Ace always looked like a statue, he had great bloodlines. Ii have 2 others now, same stance. I've had horses for 50 yrs, ASBs are truly special.
@@aliciakrzyzewski3854 REALLY!!! i had a 5 gaited gelding then got a 2 yr old which i broke to ride then sold; so i dont have any now. but seriously, riding a saddlebred compared to other breeds, is like comparing a ferrari to a shopping cart; the difference is YES THAT MUCH!! people have no clue until they ride one; its like sitting on a super sensitive velevet rocket...
