    One thing I wish they did with this gun is label the grip sizes like how smith & wesson does.

      They are labeled, it's just VERY, VERY small in the back bottom

    I followed your video 100% and it works when I first got it. I was struggling with just about everything. I’m glad you made a video that was very detailed. There aren’t that many videos out there that can show you how to take this thing down without putting muscle into it. Thank you for all the information you should do a video on the different red dot pins

      Didn’t have to remove the back strap. Watched other videos as well. Brand new, you need a flat head screw driver to elevate the FCU, fire control unit out of the grip frame. Also, had to squeeze the trigger to get the take down lever to go in all the way. Have to squeeze the trigger to rotate the take down lever all the way before removing the slide. Disappointed that the back straps are not labeled. Should be labeled with S, M, and L. Instead the smallest is labeled 1, the medium is labeled 2, and the large is labeled 2. At least label them 1a, 1b, and 1c like in the parts diagram. Otherwise, this is a well designed pistol. Waiting for my small grip frame module to arrive in the mail.

    All the grips are very slim. I have the large grip and still want more. I'm not some monster, but good god the Echelon grips are thin and make for a very short reach for the trigger.

      Ya, I get what you say. So, you got the Large Frame with the Large Backstrap?? Camera Man Dave is a HUGE guy too, he needs that setup!!

    Can you give any further insight into the small grip frame dimensions? More specifically, I'm curious if the area between the beavertail and the backstrap is narrower than on the medium module. That area causes discomfort on my thumb joint when shooting & wondering if the small module would solve my problem

      It's very hard for me to describe, I found the medium grip to be OK, but when I changed it to the smaller grip and the small back strap, it felt so much better!!

    more dissembly than fit to hand???

  • @Merry_Otter
    @Merry_Otter 5 днів тому

    You don't have to take the disassembly lever (aka takedown lever) out if you only want to swap the Backstrap.

    • @yrsued
      @yrsued 4 дні тому

      Yes you do!! You have to take the back strap off, then take the serialized part off and the ONLY way you can do that is to remove the slide, if you found a better way than the factory, please feel free to make a video.because you seem to be smarter than HS Produkt, maybe you should move to Croatia and take over the company.

      1:45 @@yrsued I watched the video while I was removing the backstrap without removing the pin. The only reason to remove the pin is to swap to a whole different frame. Chill with the snippy attacks. Sheesh.

    • @yrsued
      @yrsued 4 дні тому

      @@Merry_Otter First, the pin is part of the back strap, you DO NOT remove the pin, second, you want to to ask a question, ask it, you don't want to be corrected, learn not to make false statements as facts BEFORE knowing the facts!! This Video was done with help from the Springfield Armory Staff, we didn't pull this our of our rear ends, we do research before talking, maybe you should learn to do the same!!

    • @Merry_Otter
      @Merry_Otter 4 дні тому

      @@yrsuedI just bought the Echelon yesterday. Found this video when I was ready to try out the different backstrapsthat came in the box.
      I removed the slide pin as the video instructed. Then I figured out that was not necessary when just replacing the backstrap.
      So a 30 second task turned into a 5 minute job of getting the disassembly lever back in. The video does a great job of explaining how to get the lever back in and that it can be a little difficult.
      If the video had covered only swapping the backstrap first it would have been awesome.
      I corrected my original post because I used the word "grip" instead of "backstrap".
      I didn't have a question. I had a 100% factual statement based on my experience using the video:
      The slide pin does not need to be removed if you're only replacing the backstrap.
      Not trying to be a jerk or give false info. Video is spot on for replacing the entire FRAME.

      @@Merry_Otter Slide Pin?? What is a Slide Pin??? There is NO SUCH THING as a Slide Pin!!!
      DO you mean Takedown Lever??
      IF you carefully watch the video instead of telling us that we're doing it wrong, you might learn something.
      I think you're better off going to a qualified Gunsmith that knows how to take these things apart. It is OK not to know things. Have someone teach you
