    This is the best tutorial on card scrapers I have ever seen. I learned a lot from this Ernie. You are an excellent instructor. I have a question. Why are card scrapers pushed rather than pulled? Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂

      I think because it is easier to put a slight side to side bend in the the scraper with your thumbs. That being said, I often pull the tool in situations like cleaning up an inside corner. Pulling is the only this can be accomplished

    The 'work hardened' burr is why this tool works so well. I never thought much about it until you mentioned it.
    Seeing a Pro do this with relative ease will keep me from overdoing it with my carbide burnishing rod.

      It is a usable plane based on a classic Stanley Bailey design.
