Congrats man! It's looking great! I just got my swap on the road in the past month and a half, working out all the bugs and its ripping! (Mine is a 98 base model coupe with a 2002 WRX swap) iWire for the win, it fired up on the first attempt! Mine is running solid and is already tuned because it came from a tuned WRX and I used all the parts it was tuned for from my donor. I did a power steering delete because I wanted to keep it simple. I live near the beach and its always cool so I did an AC delete too. I am about to get into paint and body work. Not sure if I'm going to take it on myself, I've been trying to find a shop to quote a paint job and nobody will even quote it, they are all booked solid on profitable insurance jobs and won't do "just a paint job" sheesh! Thanks for the inspiration!
Sounds like a sweet and sorted little car!! Hope you can find someone that is willing!! Maybe they will have a slow season that’ll allow a shop to take the job in. It’s definitely a large amount of time involved :/
Looks great man!!! just keep an eye on it maybe invest in a small extinguisher nice to have anyways. Keep us posted man! P.s. what setup do you have for drivetrain?
Thanks man turned out better than I expected. Yeah I think that’s on the list of items to buy after that scare. So it’s an version 7 full 6spd,axles,hubs,brembos swap and then now usdm 05 wrx with vf30 and supporting mods.

I bought my 01 coupe brand new and recently did a whole drivetrain swap from a type r jdm w ver8 ej207 6 speed 180 diff dccd, kwv3 coilovers and brembos as well tuned to around 285 at the wheels and let me tell you this thing rips man! You'll be super happy when you get to play under boost! Take care man car looks great keep us posted!!! 🍻
Looks great man, thinking about painting my 99 wrx wagon in gloss yellow should I hire someone to do it or do it myself, I’m good with a spray can but I’ve never used a spray gun
The primer is a high build primer in the color grey (upol) and the base coat was mixed at space age paints in arizona I asked for rally blue pearl but I think that this is world rally blue. The can was marked with matrix I believe and the same supplier I used for the clear coat

My dream is to repaint my 2.5rs coupe. Its gonna be a lot mor challenging though because the rust unfortunately
Yeah the rust makes it hard. Had you looked into the subi saver fenders ?? Or what areas are rusted out?
