I've heard more than 200 live and recorded performances of this movement (most by very famous pianists) and yours is one of the top half dozen interpretations in my experience, so congratulations. I hope you are actively pursuing a professional career.
I practice on upright and I knew it won't be an excuse anymore, you play awesome and I hope you play on uprights sometimes in a while to inspire people like me. Good luck on your further success!
Thank you!! I am trying to make rather 'professional' recordings now so that I no longer record with my upright piano at home. But yes, ure right! I think having 'down-to-earth' recordings like this would be reflecting all the nuances in a raw but direct way
This is amazing! I didn’t see your channel name when I clicked on the video and for a while I thought this was Valentina Lisitsa playing 😂 I Hope one day I can play this as well as you :)
Just pure curiosity, are you from Hong Kong? 😂 btw how long did it take you just to play all the notes correctly? (Except those dynamics and emotions) just started this piece and wanna know how long it will take me.
yep, I'm from Hong Kong. Not quite difficult to get the piece familiar with as it is not as complex as u think ;) If u r not a novice then probably a month's time is enough for u to hv the notes played correctly! This movement does not seem to be difficult as it sounds :)
@@kinge9387 yea but u know how much time one need to practice is up to lots of matters. Not just to mention your level of profession but can be as simple as the differentiations among everybody's physical constraints. So dont put it into comparison so much XD
I spent 3 months to reach the first minute of this movement and then I gave up…. Bravo for your excellent interprétation!
Excellent - and Yamaha would be very pleased that - what looks like to be upright piano - can sound so great in the hands of a true artist !
I honestly think this is the best recording of this piece on youtube.
Thank you very much!!❤️
@@pakyukwokalex3683 This is so well done.
And you took the repeat! When I'm hearing a performance as great as this one, I need the repeat too!!
Thank you very much! glad u like it
Stunning

와...코다 쩐다 손모양도 멋지네요 촤촤~
Thanks and by the way the coda is quite difficult to handle in fact :)
this entire movement reminds me chopin's Revolutionary Etude
Superbuffed revolutionary etude

@@pakyukwokalex3683 why is this piece difficult besides for its length? Is it reasonable for an ATCL level pianist (me) to attempt?
@@jarjuicemachine It's worth a try! I actually started learning this before i take LTCL exam
Great job,i subscribe
Great, consistent tempo. Good job!
How long did it take?
Artem Bulyga I have been playing it for so long like about one and a half year, and around a month to get familiar with this movement :)
@@pakyukwokalex3683 A MONTH?

You deserve 1milion sub
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
勁牙🎉
Coda個到個main theme出得好清 你係咪冇踩踏板?
我見有啲pianists會踩氣勢係延續到但啲音出得冇你咁清
有踩㗎,不過淨係踩半個bar😆
I've seen your other videos. I like your touch. Very different from many other APA students. Just curious. Which APA instructor do you study with?
Thank you! I am under the tutelage of Prof Gabriel Kwok.
Also, just curious what year is this Yamaha upright? It sounds incredible.
I buy it from a second-handed piano retail store, which by estimation the piano is already 15+ year's old from now.
@@pakyukwokalex3683 Gotcha, thanks :)
is that an u1?
U30A
Make it faster but why not only 5 minute , more dynamic
yes, without repeat ;)
No es virtuosismo es sentir escucha a arrau
Very robotic
