great performance! also, thank you for not ignoring the haunting 1st and dreamy 2nd movement. a lot of the youtube pianists only play the popular movements from beethoven sonatas and wrongly push the other great less known movements away. hoping you play the waldstein sonata soon.
Thank you!! 😊 🙏🎶 I know what you mean - it’s really important to have the whole sonata (especially for Beethoven). I’d love to do the Waldstein one of these days - a few other things on my list first though…
Incroyable !
Merci encore!

But maybe only Gilels could carry off so well the 1st movement at this tempo. I think I normally play this movement a bit slower though, and probably got a bit carried away (or got influenced by Pollini 🤔)
@@ytramsmp Good luck learning it - I hope you manage using my video - could be worth following the sheet at the same time and pick up what you can. That 2nd movement is really worth the effort to learn though…
Well played! I'm also learning this piece! Your interpretation of the appassionata is similar to how I interpret it, which was a pleasant surprise. Subbed bc you play the entire sonata and not just one movement. Can you play the waldstein too?
Thank you!! 😊 🙏 🎶 Glad to hear from a fellow Appassionata player, especially as our interpretations are similar. I’d love to record the Waldstein too (just need to finish learning it first 😉)
Thanks!! I’d love to do the Liszt sonata and Islamey, but I’ve got some other pieces I’d like to do first - trying to concentrate on pieces that haven’t been done in this format yet (or not in their complete format), and Traum has already done brilliant versions of these two…
Hey, I would recommend you to change your profile picture and channel name to something more appealing so your channel can get more recognition and quicker. I've nothing to say about your rendition of Appassionata sonata this is beyond greatness. Thanks much😊
