Great review! I have a "few" Windows machines that I use for specific tasks and I really like them. But I "live" on my Chromebook. I've always gone for fairly high end models. I recently found myself in need of a new Chromebook and thought I'd check out some of the mid range models. They're good, but not quite what I was used to. After seeing so many good reviews of the Spin 714 I ordered one from Best Buy for $700. (Wasn't in stock locally.) Well, the next day (even before mine was delivered) the 714 went on sale for $570! I called Best Buy and they immediately refunded $130 to my credit card. I've had my 714 for about six weeks now and am extremely pleased with it. It's funny that just about every reviewer has to comment on the size of the touchpad. I don't have an issue with it at all. I think it's about the same size as the one on my Surface Pro 8 type cover.
Chromebook fan. Got the 714 after hearing all the good reviews. But.... I Here are the downers. It lacks the X factor which I find is important with chromebooks because we like to brag all the wonderful features at that price. But the 714 is just so steady albeit normal. It's not sleek. A bit heavy actually. Duet 3 has X factor. The very old Samsung chromebook pro I think is the chromebook with the best x factor of all time. That's just me. Compared to my duet 3, the 714 under performed when casting and consuming streaming videos at the same time. That was really unexpected.
€1000 in my country lmao. I'm used to getting screwed on electronics prices compared to USA, but this one made me laugh. looks like a nice device though.

Chromebooks are so easy to use and super fast. I use a duet 5 i cant even imagine how fast the 714 must be.
Yeah they’ve come such a long way that it’s hard not to recommend them to people as a great go to device. The 714 is insanely fast

I got one of these and it has been a dream. I use Linux to fill in any gaps I have and it is perfect
The screen looks highly reflective. Is this the norm for chromebooks?
